I started a week ago. I thank god for bringing you to me. I started in this session to tonight. You ask what is god saying to you… Well for the last 15 months I have had major health issues and major healing and life adjustments.. I have had many wonderful days & blessed days. But selfishly I have had many Pitty Parties with myself. Finding you and re-reading Job, Hearing his story I heard for the first time my selfishness. Wow I need to focus more on the Blessings instead of the Pitty., that it will take time. Thank you Jesus for Helping me & Loving me🙏 Amen

Give it a year.. it's what God is telling me. I need to preserve what I'm facing and not give up at the first or second or third hurdle. He has been and is with me all along, and I know I was meant to be here, right now where I am. I thank God for looking after me, and I want to walk alongside Him, and I pray that my sins will be forgiven. My heart is so happy to be watching your bible teaching every day, and I'm looking forward to it each day.
The one thing that has stuck in my mind this week is that my husband is my treasure. We have been married for 29 years and I’ve never thought of him in that way. So when I start to get irritated at him I remind myself that he is my gift.
Marriage is beautiful, sacred, holy, a true gift from God! I’m so encouraged and delighted to hear you have been married 29 years to your love 🙏🏼🩵 I did also want to point out something. While God is responsible for every good gift we have, I do believe the message is that God should be our “treasure.” That no one or thing should come before Him. Job lost everything, but he realized that they were not truly his anyways, they were the Lords. His to give and His to take. Job was showing us true faithfulness and what it looks like to hold God in our hearts above all else.
I agree. My husband and I will be married 30 yrs this year. Sometimes I forget he is my gift also. This has been a good reminder for me to stop and remember that, especially when I start getting irritated.
Im a believer 40 years... I've only read the Bible.. Didn't study and dive deep or truly understand what studying meant. I'm 8 days in and I'm realizing I don't really know the Word at all and I'm finding that I don't really know Him like I should.. Thank you... Thank you so much for this. 🙌

Reading Job so far has helped me grow in faith with God. I'm new on this journey and knowing that God is there for me has brought me so much gratitude.

Hi, admittedly very behind but I came back. One thing I believe God has been impressing on me lately is, he has purpose in my season whether or not it seems impactful to my human mind. I may not understand his ways, or the next step, but I need to lean not on my own understanding, trust in him, and know that if I do get “off course” he will course correct. Seek God first 🙏
Whew as we continue to Read this chapter, I feel I am going through a season like Job. Everything seems to be falling apart and I know I do my best but it's a struggle and having people around but no to provide comfort. Questioning God but also seeking him for understanding and grace. I have played this 3 times now to make sure I didn’t miss anything. Not why do we go through these things. It’s because of our FAITH and what we can do for God. I started this at the beginning of the year... A lot has happened. With how I note everything down and take my time highlighting and copying notes while making my own, I often get through only one chapter a day. With all that has gone on this year, I did not keep up with this from the beginning. But, I'm back now, and in July i finally made it through 1 weeks worth of these. And while I wish I could have kept up to be right in line, and not have hundreds of videos ahead of me still, I am still happy to be here studying Gods word, no matter how 'behind' I am. Thank you Kanoe for doing this. I've thoroughly enjoyed everything thus far for my first time through the bible, and I am learning so much!!
Yesterday I was thinking where to go to church. I checked my emails and my daily bible verse was there. Here is the verse of the day: “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you. Isaiah 60:1 NIV Obviously, I went to church!
I'm actually seeing myself through the mirror of the word of God, I've been like Job's friend. I'm learning how to comfort those facing hard times. I'm learning not to be cynical and judgmental. I'm learning it's wise to keep silent and be compassionate with a friend going through trials.
This convicted me. I’ve been Job and I’ve been the friend. Definitely placed both in front of me as a reflection to see where I’ve erred and where I can be a better support to loved ones.
at 11:11 you really touched my heart and I wanted you to know how much your words meant. I go to church eveyr sunday, I bible journal every single morning, I pray the Lords prayer and the Apostles Creed, I counsel my daughter on talking to God as a friend and to never be afraid to come to Him. But, in my own prayer life I feel so unworthy to speak to Him the words just stop. Thank you for knowing that prayer isn't easy for everyone. For giving those like me a chance to talk to Him.
Something that has stuck with me is that in suffering there is a much bigger picture that we are not aware of. God uses our circumstances whether good or difficult to accomplish His will and He does so because He loves us. We must trust and love and rely on Him especially in times when we are suffering!
God has spoken to my heart this week about Job’s situation and that we all must face tests! God tests us to see if we will remain faithful to Him. God also chastens, prunes and corrects His children. I feel blessed when God tests me or chastens and corrects me. It’s not a good feeling. I repent immediately and ask God what I’ve done wrong. I also apologize to God and any wrongdoings. Sometimes when I am given a test I pass it but sometimes I don’t. God advances us when we pass His tests! Amen! Thank you Jesus!!!

Kanoe, before I answer your question, what is the one thing God has said to my heart? I just want to thank you for your good work. I've been feeling a little lost since being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022-2023. I prayed to find a community of God's sons and daughters that were all under one roof glorifying, worshiping, and truly connecting with our Lord and Savior. Thank you Jesus for blessing Kanoe Thank you!🙏🏾 God has spoken to my heart that he will never disappoint me and that I should not place my full reliance in man since God's ways are far superior. It took me some time to realize this, but it is really true.
I really struggle to make friends. After reading this week I feel the need to pray for Good Friends so that we will be there to support love and care for each other through thick and thin.🇿🇼
God revealed to me that I have been judgmental towards my Christian friend the same way as Job's friends. He softened my heart towards her so that I can see her heart behind her actions. Now this relationship is restored again because of discovering how Job's friends are treating him. I praise God for His guidance!!!

The thing that stuck out to me the most was the part where you spoke about how times of slaying can be seen as a good thing. The reason for this being the past few years have been difficult, but through it I have formed a relationship with God!
So Heart Check, "Do you have a Prayer Life?" This hit me HARD. I pray but I felt like I have been doing it wrong. Listening to different individuals pray I felt less than. I started a prayer journal and after listening to you pray I asked God how do I pray like that?! God answers!!! Not only am I learning how to pray earnestly but that I don't have to be perfect. I can not tell you how thankful I am for you. God put you in my path for a reason. I pray His blessings on you and your team. Thank you for all that you do so that I can grow in the Lord. ❤

Praise God!In Genesis it was the Steps into sin, how Eve was deceived. That in whatever spiritual stage I am, I have to be careful, not to fall in sin or being dragged into Sin by these Steps. And how not to treat people, when they are suffering like Jobs Friends and be more understanding and have more empathy without any judgement because only God should judge! One thing God has spoken to my heart is to be patient. Slow down. I have all these plans to further the kingdom and God wants me to slow down?!. I was a little sad about that but honestly, if I hadn't slowed down I wouldn't have noticed I ever needed to. My mind is clearer, more focused. More committed to just one thing at a time and the biggest thing... Being able to sit in stillness to be able listen to what He has to say! God is so good and pure, ai feel so close to Him. I have taken away that even though I know and have known that it has always been the devil that has brought on my anxiety and debilitating depression, just to look up and ask God to hold me, even though he already is. My depression has gotten so much better in the past few months reading Bible everyday. Thank you for doing this reading for a 2nd year. I caught on at end of last year. Praise God for being with us even when we think we are alone.
God has shown me that I need to do spring cleaning this Holy Week to make room for my new blessings and remove things that don’t glorify him. Such as clothing and home decor that doesn’t serve him. Making a clean space specifically in my bedroom where I read His word and keep my prayer closet.
I found your bible study late, but I've wanted to catch up so badly. At some point, I reminded myself of what you said about no such thing as that. when I feel this way, I tell myself it's not about finishing in a year. I'm constantly telling myself it's about everything I will be learning over that year, regardless if I haven't finished yet. Thank you so much for this little reminder today. God has a way of confirming things.
one thing God has spoken in my heart this week, is going back to the beginning. And taking notes of these heartbeats have helped me realize the character of God even in the mundane, or to be comfortable enough to bring even the smallest of situations to Him.
I feel on my heart God is saying following God doesn't mean my life will be easy and to love God. It's not just about what he does to help us but his presence. To love God above all else.
God told me to purchase a ESV Bible. Mardell did not have an interleaved Bible, but they did have a single column Bible. I started over on lesson one, and I have been taking notes in my new Bible.
I just stated above that I shouldn't ever claim to know someone's "trial, suffering, pain, etc." But ...... here I can!! I started on day one with the group, in the "bible" I had planned to use for 2024. Every day for the next 3 days as I took notes, I kept getting this uneasy feeling. Something felt wrong about my bible, but thought it was because it was "new" Then the 4th day as I was taking notes, I literally wrote so many things wrong I could have used a half bottle of white-out on it. I mean the spelling of simple words, letters going out of the line of others, and all sorts of shenanigans. Long story short, I am stubborn and God knows that I need extra help, being a perfectionist that crazy messed-up page made me want to get a new bible. I ended up getting an ESV one-column journaling one (the one I wanted in the first place, but I was trying to save money). So I have to start all over again too! I feel behind, but know that I will eventually catch up and the important thing is I am showing up, and haven't given up. I also want to say, good for you, and amen you continued on with the study. I honestly thought I was the only one out there in this situation. Here's to starting over...

I am truly enjoying Job as I have found Job to be very complicated in the past, I’m so thankful that for the first time I’ve been able to understand and really learn about what I’m reading & clarity. Also thank you for the in-depth info about Sheol & Hades, that was something I didn’t know, thank you for reviewing & granting us deeper understanding. The one thing that God has spoken to me is that I will experience challenges that will try to deter, distract or derail me from this amazing ministry of studying God’s Word … but I must keep my eyes focused on Christ, Father God and The Spirit. As Job proclaimed, “thou he slays me I SHALL come forth as pure gold” to the glory of God. I am determined to finish well. I am determined to grow deeper in my understanding of His Word, for it is the Sword that will defeat the enemy. I will draw closer to Christ Jesus as I grow in the knowledge of Who He is. And that light will shine brighter in me as a beacon to draw others to His heart!!! To God be all the glory and Praise for this community of believers! Yesterday I had a pretty stressful day. The story of Job and having hope and relying on God and Jesus really got me through. Jesus aligned me with Christian music that really helped lift my spirit yesterday and truly helped me find peace. Kanoe, thank you for sharing God's word with us. The one message I keep receiving is that it's time for me to be more active in my study. To make it less an academic lesson and more my personal participation. I'm still not sure how but I know it's what God wants.
He has said be mindful of your words to friends and family and who we can pose as we are wiser. We can be advising wrong. We should be support and listen.

You were recommended by a missionary friend of mine here in Concord, NC. I completed ReCap the last two years and study the Bible daily thanks to ReCap and of course God Himself.
Your site offers a different, but equally effective approach to my study and I will apply it through the remainder of this year.
I read along with you and stop to take notes along the way. Your PDFs, your prayers before and after the study, and Heart Checks are spot on for me. Thank you! May God bless you and the good work you are doing for the Lord.

I have learned this week that He is so faithful regardless of the circumstance.
The one thing God has spoken to me this week is no matter what good and bad to always worship him & be more like God, loving, forgiving, righteous, fruitful!!! I can go on💚🙏🏾

ONE thing I learned was that We can only rely on GOD in our driest season
The thing that stuck out to me the most was the part where you spoke about how times of slaying can be seen as a good thing. The reason for this being the past few years have been difficult, but through it I have formed a relationship with God!
He is a forgiving God. No matter the sin or conviction he will forgive if you seek him
Persistence...never give up. That's what God has spoken onto my heart

So Heart Check, "Do you have a Prayer Life?" This hit me HARD. I pray but I felt like I have been doing it wrong. Listening to different individuals pray I felt less than. I started a prayer journal and after listening to you pray I asked God how do I pray like that?! God answers!!! Not only am I learning how to pray earnestly but that I don't have to be perfect. I can not tell you how thankful I am for you. God put you in my path for a reason. I pray His blessings on you and your team. Thank you for all that you do so that I can grow in the Lord. ❤

i have fell behind but i refuse to quit to seek the Lord's love and mercy everyday and your amazing videos spreading the word of christ! the more videos i watch from your wonderful podcast i understand more and it drives me to do right by the lord and his words. to be in the image he made me to be. i struggle everyday to see these things and i have be honest with myself about this i cannot live in such a lie and it breaks my lords heart and even my own cause i know i am doing wrong by him and to myself. so thus this right as i am i going to sit and watch your videos more to keep that drive in knowing christ more thank you kanoe! your videos and explanation of the scripture is so well put to me to help understand the word of christ
Praise God!In Genesis it was the Steps into sin, how Eve was deceived. That in whatever spiritual stage I am, I have to be careful, not to fall in sin or being dragged into Sin by these Steps. And how not to treat people, when they are suffering like Jobs Friends and be more understanding and have more empathy without any judgement because only God should judge! These are the major lessons I have learnt so far. Now I will start Day 7. Thank you for doing this Study! God bless you, your Family and your Ministry!
One thing God has spoken to my heart is to be patient. Slow down. I have all these plans to further the kingdom and God wants me to slow down?!. I was a little sad about that but honestly, if I hadn't slowed down I wouldn't have noticed I ever needed to.
My mind is clearer, more focused. More committed to just one thing at a time and the biggest thing... Being able to sit in stillness to be able listen to what He has to say! God is so good and pure, ai feel so close to Him. Pray that never goes away from me.

I have taken away that even though I know and have known that it has always been the devil that has brought on my anxiety and debilitating depression, just to look up and ask God to hold me, even though he already is. My depression has gotten so much better in the past few months reading Bible everyday. Thank you for doing this reading for a 2nd year. I caught on at end of last year. Praise God for being with us even when we think we are alone.

Through my chronic illness I find joy and comfort that God knows the end of my story and in him I will trust and keep praying.❤
God has shown me that I need to do spring cleaning this Holy Week to make room for my new blessings and remove things that don’t glorify him. Such as clothing and home decor that doesn’t serve him. Making a clean space specifically in my bedroom where I read His word and keep my prayer closet.

I found your bible study late, but I've wanted to catch up so badly. At some point, I reminded myself of what you said about no such thing as that. when I feel this way, I tell myself it's not about finishing in a year. I'm constantly telling myself it's about everything I will be learning over that year, regardless if I haven't finished yet. Thank you so much for this little reminder today. God has a way of confirming things.
one thing God has spoken in my heart this week, is going back to the beginning. And taking notes of these heartbeats have helped me realize the character of God even in the mundane, or to be comfortable enough to bring even the smallest of situations to Him.

I feel on my heart God is saying following God doesn't mean my life will be easy and to love God. It's not just about what he does to help us but his presence. To love God above all else.
God told me to purchase a ESV Bible. Mardell did not have an interleaved Bible, but they did have a single column Bible. I started over on lesson one, and I have been taking notes in my new Bible.
I just stated above that I shouldn't ever claim to know someone's "trial, suffering, pain, etc." But ...... here I can!! I started on day one with the group, in the "bible" I had planned to use for 2024. Every day for the next 3 days as I took notes, I kept getting this uneasy feeling. Something felt wrong about my bible, but thought it was because it was "new"
Then the 4th day as I was taking notes, I literally wrote so many things wrong I could have used a half bottle of white-out on it. I mean the spelling of simple words, letters going out of the line of others, and all sorts of shenanigans.
Long story short, I am stubborn and God knows that I need extra help, being a perfectionist that crazy messed-up page made me want to get a new bible. I ended up getting an ESV one-column journaling one (the one I wanted in the first place, but I was trying to save money). So I have to start all over again too! I feel behind, but know that I will eventually catch up and the important thing is I am showing up, and haven't given up.
I also want to say, good for you, and amen you continued on with the study. I honestly thought I was the only one out there in this situation. Here's to starting over...

I am truly enjoying Job as I have found Job to be very complicated in the past, I’m so thankful that for the first time I’ve been able to understand and really learn about what I’m reading & clarity. I’m truly excited about this year & studying the word of God on a deeper level! Also thank you for the in-depth info about Sheol & Hades, that was something I didn’t know, thank you for reviewing & granting us deeper understanding. Oh and thank you for bringing me back to honoring the Sabbath, I had done so for sometime & then kinda of fell off, it’s not easy specially because most churches & people honor Sunday & not Saturday, but I must say I did enjoy it and again thank you for sharing as you’ve helped me to get back to honoring the Sabbath again!!! The one thing that God has spoken to me is that I will experience challenges that will try to deter, distract or derail me from this amazing ministry of studying God’s Word … but I must keep my eyes focused on Christ, Father God and The Spirit.
As Job proclaimed, “thou he slays me I SHALL come forth as pure gold” to the glory of God. I am determined to finish well. I am determined to grow deeper in my understanding of His Word, for it is the Sword that will defeat the enemy. I will draw closer to Christ Jesus as I grow in the knowledge of Who He is. And that light will shine brighter in me as a beacon to draw others to His heart!!!

Yesterday I had a pretty stressful day. The story of Job and having hope and relying on God and Jesus really got me through. He has said be mindful of your words to friends and family and who we can pose as we are wiser. We can be advising wrong. We should be support and listen.
The two things I’m hearing from God is to TRUST Him and give others GRACE when I am stressed out and going through difficulties.
