Joke aside, Edward is pretty good guy, he have a talk with Rudy, lay out his plan for the future for him and Chris showing Rudy he is a capable young man and well prepared with vision for his career path so he can take care of Chris and their future family. Only concern left was he is still an Asura royalty and pervert run in their blood so how pervert he might be a problem in future but atleast we can be sure that he won’t dare to hurt Chris in any way
I’m honestly more concern with the fact Asura royal successions are bloody business. If the kid loses in the struggle, Christina would be killed at the best case.
But then again….. if Edward does get the girl, he pretty much as the throne. Like who in their right mind would oppose Rudy’s blood. Their bloodline would be forfeited if they do. @@mingchen7704 luckily under Ariel rule, the throne succession is more peaceful, it should still be very competitive but less bloody as Ariel will keep a close eyes on the process. Due to Ariel never marry anyone but still have several kids so every kid have equal right to the throne. The fact Ariel died of a relatively old age meaning the succession happen peacefully as she would have wanted it to be due to her succession being fill with bloodshed. Ariel is massively grateful to Rudy, even in her dying words, she command Luke and the Asura kingdom to not be hostile toward Rudy family, considering that she should be the one who don't want to drag Rudy kid into bloody mess the most but she still did so meaning she intend to fully protect Rudy kid and ensure that no harm will come to them if any of them become member of royal family.
Also you r correct tbh, which dumdass dare to touch Rudy kid or family, let not say on Rudy side, if something were to happen to Chris, Ariel would be the first person to act just like how she did on Chris graduation ceremony.

I think it is more than evident that Ariel ended up setting the stage to ensure that her son's proposal was irremediably accepted by Rudeus, perhaps she was even helped by the genius of Christina herself (who wanted this union to happen). The way they managed to separate all of Rudy's wives at that moment requires meticulous knowledge of how insecure the Greyrat is socially without their presence and how to know how to distract their wives naturally (although in the case of Roxy, it was because of her height), so I don't think it was a coincidence.
The funny thing about it is that the times in which Rudeus manages to postpone, avoid or escape from some inevitable problem that had to be solved by him, in the end it ends up being his children who end up carrying the responsibility that their father had to solve. For example: the fact that by rejecting Aisha as a concubine (something that Lilia wanted to happen due to her inferiority complex, which made her think that it was the only way for her daughter to legally be part of the family), ended up having Ars take care of her and him not giving Ariel what she wanted (having a child with him, to ensure the Greyrat's loyalties and connections, without him having to take care of the offspring), ended up having an inevitable impact on one of his daughters ending up being part of the Royal House that her father wanted to avoid at all costs, marrying one of Ariel's sons.
However, in the end these things end up being beneficial for the world, since these unions would be important for the final confrontation against Hitogami, as would also be Lara's heroic destiny and the martial power acquired by Sieg. XD
