- Having a bit of fun with some blues again. Here is another variation with a BB King style backing track in B minor and using a Strat and a clean tone.
The playing is a little rough but it’s more of me testing out my new Boss IR-200 Amp and cabinet simulator. I’m pretty impressed with its tonal versatility. The guitar is plugged straight into the Boss IR-200 and into my computer using a Presonus USB interface so all tone and reverb is straight from the IR-200.

The "STRATO-THRILL";) Sounds wonderful my Brother Darren! I am noticing a very "clean & precise" sonic delivery of "tones" that are being translated by the IR-200...from pickup to pickup...but more so...the "expression & feel" has "dynamics"...something I have noticed to be "lost" in other "amp sim" pedals I have used in the past. The Boss IR-200...combined with it's sims & reverb selection is truly "ALL" I want out of this style of device...and this delivers;) Excellent!

Yeah the American Pro II is a nice guitar. I’m a Strat nerd and own many to compare it too. The Boss IR-200 fits my needs well too. Great tones on tap with a bit of tweaking. I had a Tonex pedal but just wasn’t into the tones. There are thousands of amps/cab options available on the Tonex but I couldn’t get a good tone out the presets even with tweaking compared to some other units.
My UA Dream 65 blew it away for clean tones. I don’t have that problem with the Boss unit. Great clean tones and I’m sure great Marshall tones and stuff too with some tweaking. I just got the unit hours before I put up the video.
