Seriously, this track is quite possibly Em’s best lyricism we’ve seen. He is phenomenal with wordplay, but to the extent that almost 3 verses are completely double entendres... that’s god-tier lyricism.
This was a backwards engineered piece of musical art that will embed Em into the greatest musicians of all time. He is our lifetime’s Beethoven, Bach, Louis Armstrong, Beatles. His name will be mentioned for hundreds of years, without a doubt.

The issue with Eminem is that he's so masterful and on a different level that anyone that idolizes him is a "stan". Honestly, he truly is the GOAT, one of the greatest minds of our time. It's nearly impossible not to respect/like him.

Facts. The way he spins the story right at that moment with the scope, that's just crazy. Everything is at least a double, up to the TVs shape at the end. That's crazy. Plus many messages in it. Including that under certain circumstances even one like Em could end up in that situation, but he fortunately found a way to vent, and was mentally strong enough to overcome certain issues.

Totally, I used to live in Vegas and had some friends at the show with their kids. One is a cop and her husband is a fireman, they got their kids behind solid cover and then rushed back in to do whatever they could to save people. I can’t imagine how horrifying it was for the audience that was just there to have a good night.
This song and the video hit me like a Mac truck. It reminds me of Immortal Technique’s Dance with the Devil, but this song feels so much deeper.

ArtifiShuL Instinct I don’t know if they were all legal or illegal but I do know the rifles were converted illegally to automatic rifles with 30+ round mags. You can’t buy machine gun style weapons legally. So, people taking about background checks - that wouldn’t have mattered here.
I say let’s focus on illegal weapons first because drug dealers, gangs, etc. don’t mess with background checks. It’s lazy on the part of government to say let’s take the registered guns because we know where those are, but do nothing about illegal weapons. The Texas church shooter was a felon and he stole his shot gun. His was mentally ill, couldn’t pass the background check and he still got a gun.
Your Online Mom and here’s the problem that Americans just wont face. No gun equals no shooting. Even when it comes to hunting it becomes a lot harder to commit a mass shooting if all you have access to is a hunting rifle with a small clip or a cross bow. Now there will always be the an issue that someone unstable cause death with these none weapons of war. But hopefully one day democracy and world peace will win out and there will be no need for guns on the planet at all.

This song is absolutely incredible. Loved it from the first time I heard it. It definitely touches on something that’s controversial. As someone who has A. Served in the Marines and has a combat tour and also lived in several states. Some where gun laws are the most strict and some where they are the most lenient I know this isn’t a black and white discussion. It’s a lot of grey area. Crazy/evil men shouldn’t have guns, but at the same time, good men/women should be able to have guns. Making guns illegal won’t stop criminals from owning them, we see that in New Jersey, LA, philly, Chicago etc. and we don’t wanna take away guns from good people while criminals still have them. BUT, at the same time we need to prevent crazy people with clean records from having guns. The problem is no one wants to compromise. The left doesn’t wanna don’t guns can be used for good and the right doesn’t want to admit that it’s too easy to get guns. Both can be true. There’s people like the vegas shooter who can hurt so many with a gun but there is also men like Steven Williford from Sutherland springs who stopped a mass shooter with his personal AR-15 when he heard gun shots coming from a church and ran there barefoot and then chased and killed the active shooter before he could go to the next 5 churches he had planned to shoot up.
I wish people would hear this song and think about it. It’s better to come together and discuss this issue and find a way where everyone wins rather than having too much pride and trying to just win for yourself.

This song was a punch in the gut.
When everybody has that realization moment, everybody has the same reaction where they just sort of sit there and let the reality sink in that this stuff is still happening nearly every single day. You can't really do anything if you have any emotions at all but sit and contemplate how wrong all this is, how wrong it all feels. Em's wordplay pulls us in and shows us that darkness and the concept that you can get to that place really easily. Everybody is one really bad day away from just losing it.
We've become desensitized. Ask yourself this: when news comes on about a mass shooting, what's your reaction? For most of us at this point, we aren't even surprised. We should be horrified, but we've just gotten used to it. We're all living with PTSD as a culture, stuck in a loop because of misinformation, cowardice. Everyone fears change - so much so that we're willing to keep letting little kids get shot to death in their schools. Everybody who's against action on gun laws will say "it's the price of freedom." If that's the price of freedom - the lives of innocent children every day - I say it's too high. Take my freedom. I'd give all of it to bring even one of those kids back, and I don't personally know a single one of them.
Em is using his platform to stir us to action. He's willing to eat all the backlash, the bad press from both sides. He launched his entire album on THIS SONG because it effects him on that level. We forget that he lost his best friend Proof to gun violence. Writing this song probably tore his heart out, but he felt we needed to hear it.
We've got to start talking about doing something. What we're doing now isn't working, hasn't been working, and this problem will only continue to get worse until we act.
This is a hard conversation to have, and neither side really likes talking over dead bodies - but they're dropping so often that if we can only talk about it after the mourning is done, we will never have the chance. If this song doesn't hit you somewhere in your feelings and make you at least stop and think about the impact on our lives, then you should seek professional help. It's impossible to witness death on that scale without having it effect you in some way.
We need to do better, people. Let's get out here and let's have this talk like adults. Let's drop the screaming and rhetoric and find something better than what we've got. The alternative is continuing to live in this hell where everyone is afraid for their lives any time they go outside.
