Glad you liked it man, the aurebesh in the city mostly translates to names of the stores and region they're in but there's also a couple easter egg names of friends and people who worked on the short here and there.
3:33 Another way you can tell that the troopers weren't droids is you can see that Shock Trooper getting up from checking the vitals of a fallen trooper
I second that. Have it take place both during, and after the Clone Wars? Maybe have the Commando unit disobey Order 66? And do their part to shield some Jedi from the Emperor, and the Empire. I think it would be awesome.
this scene hits so much harder after watching clone wars obi wan telling ashoka why Anakin was spying on the chancellor "the senate has allowed the supreme chancellor to remain in office long after his term has expired" hes been killing those who are opposed to him
As a Star Wars fan myself, I am fully capable of reading Aurebesh... But Kyle? Damn you seem able to read it WAAAAAY faster than I can. XD Besides, you're probably more knowledgeable about Star Wars than I am, judging by your reactions.
Yeah, my aurebesh has become a bit rusty. It takes a while to read. My best tip for you is to actually write aurebesh. It is very fun and it helps enormously with practice.
Clones. The whole thing was made to look like a Sep attack. Probably to get an uncooperative senator out of the way and garner some support for the war at the same time. 2 birds, 1 stone.
@@eddieguererro46 What's making me wonder however is that, if they were indeed clones, why would they immediately open fire on the republic commands? Were they instructed that they were commando droids as well?
Hold on. Kyle I just have to ask you from one Jedi to another. How did you translate the common writting in Star Wars. Did you look it up on the internet or did you just decode it?
Really wish lucasfilm and Dave Filoni just used Clone Commandos rather than make a new "Bad Batch" thing which get their own show rather than the commandos that already existed. Also I'd say that Palpatine was the weakest portion of this fan film, especially since he told the commander to return to him on Coruscant when they already were on Coruscant.
I disagree. I like the concept of the Bad Batch. It further gives more variety to the clones and adds new character dynamics and designs that probably wouldn't be able to be translated otherwise to existing Commandos. Also adds more to the Kaminoans as well, as they experiment with the Fett DNA to make superior soldiers to make more money. I think both regular Clone Commandos and the Bad Batch can co-exist.
You know, sometimes it feels like these reactions are not your first viewing, with all your on-point predictions and interpretations. You're not cheating just to seem smarter are you? :P
I can appreciate the dedication that went into this, but man... those tactics the commandos are using leave a lot to be desired. Staying the fatal funnel when making entry, no rolling-Ts down hallways, having your back against cover (seriously, NO ONE DOES THAT, WHAT IS EVEN THE POINT OF DOING THAT?), that ABYSMAL stack on the door... ugh. I get that the animators probably don't have any experience with door-kicking, but there's no shortage of Star Wars fans with experience in that field who would be happy to provide some level of expertise, even for free.

"commando droids disguised as clones" I've heard that before
Roger, roger
Pong krell
The darkest park about this is that you know damn well those weren’t droids under those suits.
That is very true!
Indeed

I love that they play Vode An in the background but it's changed to suit the atmosphere
Also the clone theme
I love it also, I hope to find that soundtrack
@@LuisHumanoide Haha I see you advertising your own work. I was about to link the video to the man himself.
Yeah I love the republic commando soundtrack because give a great vibes
I know, Vide An is the best!
Man, I’d love to see a Republic Commando show of its own some time in the future...
I second that. Have it take place both during, and after the Clone Wars? Maybe have the Commando unit disobey Order 66? And do their part to shield some Jedi from the Emperor, and the Empire. I think it would be awesome.
i mean we are getting bad batch... although i would love our original commandos instead but oh well
@@GodOfWar221 that’s literally the republic commando books by Karen traviss

Loved the Republic Commando game
Also discretion = bright shiny visor :)
Glad you enjoyed it. The animation on this took us a while
Glad you dig it! So many hours put in on just audio alone.
man your going to like the 501st journal when you get to it

Republic commando deserves a sequel or remaster / even its own show.
The vocal distortion on Palpatine saying ‘my son’ at the end was a nice touch. Visually this was spectacular, and the storytelling was fantastic
The dialogue is just "You have done well" -"Thank you sir". That was Kyle's voice you heard on top of the original
Haaaaaahaha awesome. Nice Palpy, Katarn.
@@JoeFF85 no Kyle said nice in the reaction, which overlapped palpatine's dialogue
the voice sound like a mix Dee Bradley Baker and temuera morrison
That was dope.
So where the "commando droids" droids or clones. Cuz they didnt drop like Droids when they got killed.
@blast wave ah shit
Exactly
@blast wave ooh war crimes.

Would recommend "The Last Skywalker" by Hero Fan Productions.
Man this guy has the whole aurabesh alphabet memorized?! This guy is a true fan
This is kinda what I envisioned George's live action TV show would've been.

aurebesh is just english with different characters. he just learned the new character set
Excellent, reminds me of Astartes, the 40k fan film, you should have a look I think you'd like it.
Just as I just watched it.
We need a shadows of the empire series.
either if the clones are commando droids or they're the clones that executed order 66
The aurobesh (sorry I dont know the spelling) does translate to things. I think it was hard to see the actual symbols outside
Astartes of the star wars universe
Amazing. Still hoping for Delta squad to return one day.

So Coruscant is the only urban place in Star Wars?
