I started watching Days in 1971 when I was 13. I haven't really watched faithfully since 1994. I loved when you played Hope, Tammy, you did a wonderful job! I miss the "old" Days, the writing, the characters, the music, the charisma, the acting. There was always something going on with at least one or two of the characters lives, that really made you want to tune in every day and watch. The characters didn't have to look perfect either, no designer clothes, perfect hair, perfect teeth, botoxed faces....There was just plain good ol fashioned acting, on a level that we regular folks could relate to.... I am so glad you had a chance to be a part the an era when Days was a prime show... Thank you for sharing these clips with us!

Julie's dad, Ben, was as superficial as Addie was back then (if not more)... until Addie met Doug, and her personality did a whole 180. He was a rich banker who hardly had any time for his kids (Julie and Steve).
What’s interesting is that Tammy Taylor really looks like Charla Doherty who was the very first Julie. Completely believable that Tammy’s Hope was also Addie’s daughter. Days was so much better at this point than when it turned into an adventure story with super couples and supervillains. This is the Days I watched with my mom. The characters were real and developed. This is what soaps are supposed to be. Not serial killers and international crime syndicates.
Back "then", I was told the same, that I resembled Charla Doherty! I didn't know her, although I did know Natasha Ryan who played Hope as a child. Wonderful little actress! Wish I could find her now. In the year of '81, I was only 3...didn't start watching Days with my mother until I was probably 6 or 7(whilst I was playing with my action figures(wow, has it really been 30 years,I've been watching)). By then Ms Alphonse was already portraying Hope. As I watched this clip, I was wondering whom Julie was talking with. Read the comments and came to my conclusion, beautifully portrayed I might add as well. Like I said earlier, I've been watching for 30years and something that I've been curious about for the past few years...will they ever release this long lived show on DVD? I think that would be just fantastic. Be well.

What was acting along side Brenda Benet like? Days had such great actors and actresses during this time period. It would be neat If you came back as Hope or another character!
Aww, thanks Randy! It was absolute heaven working with Bill and Susan (about whom I was warned was a "b**ch on wheels") - We ended up getting along splendidly! Being an old song and dance man, Bill and I loved to share a time step offstage between takes! And Brenda - Oh Brenda. She was the epitome of grace. She had the most tender, loving way about her - just the way she would put her hand on my shoulder, or stroke my hair, on and off camera, put me in her trance and as an actress, she really connected with her fellow performers and brought out the best in us. Her death was a tragedy, and I'll never forget her. I'd love to come back to Days! Still the best daytime drama EVER!

She didn’t like that Julie was trying to mother her. Which was a little silly because Julie raised her and was really the only mother Hope ever knew, since Hope’s mother died when she was a baby. But the show was searching to give Doug and Julie something to do after their second wedding, so they came up with a conflict with Hope.

Um... no... it's me, Tammy Taylor! I played Hope from 1980 to 1981 when Hope was sent back to boarding school because the Salem Strangler was running rampant. Then, what do you know, the guy Hope had just started dating turned out to be none other than Jake Kosichek, the SALEM STRANGLER!! A year later (maybe less), Hope returned in the person of Kristian Alfonso! Ah, Soap life!
Days was so good and all about family during this time. The background music was beautiful and made the show even better.
