Such a dick move on the opponent's part in that last match. Accept the loss with some grace, give a 'good game', and then move on. I'm glad that the timer is relatively fast all things considered, but it shouldn't even be necessary.
Legend is quite the Gentleman. In the last game the opp. just did nothing anymore after realising he just lost and instead of getting into a rage like so many other players Legend just said: "The opp. has left the building"... such a nice phrase for that. I am impressed to say the least... this shows a superb example on good sportmanship. Legend is not only a very good player but such a calm and modest one too. We all can learn from that.
Around 16:13, if you prioritize casting mind stone that turn, you could consider mox amber + Emry + mindstone. One fewer trigger from Sai, and there was a known helix for Emry, but given how much gas that hand had at that moment, it was perhaps worth it.
I wish we could play more, but don't have room for many non-artifacts. Otherwise we struggle to reach that critical mass where things work as intended. Every non-artifact we add makes half the cards in the deck a little worse, which quickly adds up.
I have a really fun artifact deck tbsts similar but I run a legendary sub theme with a bunch of Dom cards like Karn and Karns Eternal Sundering. Thought Monitor is gonna be a nice addition
It would be cool to see a deck with the willow geist that corkeyz plays but with your take in it and maybe in historic even. Thx for the video enjoyed it a lot!
The last player should have waited until your artifacts turn sideways, but it's easy to be the teacher afterwards. Of course, you'd spare the mana for the countersell, though, I suppose his or her chances were at least a bit higher that something went wrong.
It's a very linear deck, so you can't change too many cards. Splashing white for those removal spells I mentioned is one approach. Otherwise it could shift into a more aggressive gameplan after sideboard with cards like The Blackstaff of Waterdeep.
at 16:22 couldn't you play spellbomb, mindstone, and emry? If you played the 0 cost you could have tapped for a 1 mana emry, and had 2 mana left over for a mindstone
@@LegenVD But the 0 mana artifact still would reduce the price of emry to 1. And then you could play emry, at which point the mox would tap for mana and you could play mindstone
@@joaquintristan4373 I see what you mean now, you're right that could work. There's is an appeal to getting more tokens with Sai, but this might've been a better play.
It would only be good once we're already comboing off with Sai and the bar for non-artifacts to make it in the deck is incredibly high. So short answer is no.

@@LegenVD I guess that's a good point. It's hard to justify replacing any of the non-artifacts either, the only one that can be replaced is probably Sai, as you don't need multiples, and the first copy often sticks for a while due to high toughness. But at the same time, after seeing games, the deck benefits enormously from playing it. Another alternative is Antiquities, but it also makes sense that we want to draw it asap. I just feel that rebuke is such an important card vs many decks that it might be worth bringing over losing some of the utility. Dodging that occasional wrath effect or win condition can often be the difference between winning and losing.
Sai is the kind of guy who sees all these unique artifacts around him and gets inspired to make the same thopter over and over again
He's master thopterist for a reason.
Once you thop you just can't stop
Lmfao
Loved the explanation during the Match 5 opponents salt
Match 5, your opponent 100% just closed the game and went outside. Good work LVD
That last match was definitely a gruuling one.
Ngl I've been loving these intros with an amazing moment from a game + some nice classical music to round things out
The poise LVD showed while his opponent succumbed to their salty inhibitions... gotta love this guy.
Didn't think artifacts would ever come back. I'm so glad to see them again

Artifact decks are always interesting to me, so excited you made this!
That moment when all artifacts jump into the battlefield in the intro is nothing short of epic.
At 1 life, no less…
Lmao I think you sent that last opponent to the damn Shadow Realm.
The Meathook Massacre strikes!!! That was so crazy! Still got the W in the end!

An LVD video a day keeps the ropers away.
Doing the outro while being roped was actually kind of funny
Those intros with the classics. Truly a man of culture.
I remember the first version of this deck. Nice to see it updated.
I cackled like a villain during the intro, just beautiful.
I actually laughed out loud pretty hard at that intro. The composition is too good
What an elegant intro
Glad to see you updated this one. Such a fun deck.
41:45 Yes!!! Finally a TAW deck which works competitively
when i was 13 years old i stated playing magic durig the mirridon block. afinity is and always will be my faveroite
So funny oponent getting a little too exited with the meathook massacre. XD
Awesome video LVD! Love your artifact decks, there's never enough artifact decks in play. I hope one or everyone reported that roper lol
Great timing on the outro speech! Priceless! lol
AMAZING!
Wish we could build the pure affinity, that'd be awesome. Maybe we'll have access to more cards, in the future.

Great content, love the competitive historic decks.
This deck is so cool! I was thinking of making a colorless construct tribal aggro deck with the new Dollhouse of Horrors and this has inspired me
Thanks again for another Awesome video. It was kinda Ironic how you got matched up against a deck running Karn.
Shout out to the opponents who let the games play out!
The return of the cold open! 👏🤝
Love your historic decks great fun. Thank you.
Metallic rebuke seems so important to this deck in historic its strange to only have two in the main.
I wish we could play more, but don't have room for many non-artifacts.
Otherwise we struggle to reach that critical mass where things work as intended.
Every non-artifact we add makes half the cards in the deck a little worse, which quickly adds up.
Nothing better than classical!
This intro is damn sick... all we need to know about the deck right away 🤣
Wow, never knew you could click on the token count to send them attacking all at once. Saves a lot of clicking! 12:09
The very first second of this video had me smiling from the song alone lmao 0:01 xD
I have a really fun artifact deck tbsts similar but I run a legendary sub theme with a bunch of Dom cards like Karn and Karns Eternal Sundering. Thought Monitor is gonna be a nice addition
41:02 Oh Legend you crack me up XD.
"70+ damage is always satisfying!" couldn't agree more.
affinity was my first good selfmade deck in paper, back in mirrodin-times
That perfectly timed intro music broke me.
That poor guy at the end. Hes definitely having a meltdown.
The Dingle, reading the card explains the card.
It would be cool to see a deck with the willow geist that corkeyz plays but with your take in it and maybe in historic even. Thx for the video enjoyed it a lot!
this is a pretty sweet looking engine! i think i’ll put this together once i have a bunch of wildcards lol
That intro!
Wow, cool deck
I need a deck video of how you come up with these,I can never build a proper deck.to many cards that could combo😭
The last player should have waited until your artifacts turn sideways, but it's easy to be the teacher afterwards. Of course, you'd spare the mana for the countersell, though, I suppose his or her chances were at least a bit higher that something went wrong.
lol didnt expect a deck like this since ravager
Does Treasure Vault splitting into Treasure Tokens interact well with Antics' 3rd chapter?
It can if we have a lot of mana to use it.
Cool deck, how would you tune it for best of 3?

@@LegenVD hey LegenVD, thanks for the reply. It's really cool that you read and reply to youtube comments. Thanks for all the content!
The zombie Guy: the risk i took was calculated, but man i am bad at math.
What a beautiful thumbnail

Mox Amber doesn’t make mana unless Emry is already in play.

Whipped out the calculator and i'm pretty sure opponent could've survived that intro if they'd blocked better :P
they'd get 35 in the air so they die
Refresh rate...Monitor...well done
Would you consider favorable winds in this deck?
It would only be good once we're already comboing off with Sai and the bar for non-artifacts to make it in the deck is incredibly high. So short answer is no.
Incredible as always. Think we could find room for big Tezzeret in here too?
Question: do you think rite of harmony does a good enough glimpse of nature impression for an affinity deck?
Maybe in a much different build but not this. It would also strain the mana base a lot because the green.
Call an ambulance, call an ambulance! 14:09
*But not for me.* 15:08
Nostalgia bomb
This is eerily close to being Thopter Tribal
High refresh rate… I almost choked laughing 😂
With a name like DavidGuyDude, playing RG Aggro to then rope you after those plays, it couldn't be a sweeter symphony.
Man these uploads during work hours would get me fired if I wasnt self employed.
Should have jegantha as companion due to heart and sphere
15:00 reading the card explains the card
Is it too greedy to think I can put a phyrxyeon theme and replicating ring in this deck 🤔🤔🤔
Any ideas for the sideboard in bo3 ?
See other comments
that last match was entirely too good
Reliquary Tower?
Not a colorless land I would consider, there are many better ones I'd play first.
Wish i had wildcards
I think it could use Blackstaff of Waterdeep to have a good repeatable blocker while you wait for the third chapter of the saga.
One copy is probably fine over a Chromatic Sphere, would just hate to draw multiples.
Salty walkout to outro combo
With mystic forge this deck would be VERY reliable
This deck is much more fun the the annoying ugin turn 3/4 artifact deck
At work again but first!
Davidguydude should rename himself into davidsaltytrashplayer :)
1 HP and a dream
So much salt from the last match
OOF massacre.
Feel bad for the Karn player. But ratchet bomb defo wasn't the pick.
I think this deck really wants more copies of metallic rebuke, the card is just too good in this kind of deck.

do only youtuber's make it to mythic
I had to change the like count to seventy :’(
Waiting until tomorrow to open 150 Crimson Vow packs, then craft some of your decks with the wildcards LOL
Yo
I really don't like or understand these ppl that just let the rope run as soon as it's obvious they lost.
