My old dog jumped over our back fence we thought she was going to be lost forever we got ready to look for her opened the front door and she was sitting right there!
Scarlett And Preston 😂😂😂 my Great Pyrenees did that too! My sister left the gate open so he wandered off. My sister was yelling out his name, but I immediately knew where he was. I opened the front door and there he was, SMILING at me. It took me five minutes to get my sisters attention since she was crying out for him. He runs off, but he always comes back within 5 minutes. He just patrols the neighborhood like any Great Pyrenees would do😅😂❤️ he’s my baby boy
My friends dog grayson went missing for a year, he was chipped, he ran away from her friends house who was watching him. My friend got a call from the shelter in a town over an hours drive from us. (Living in Albuquerque nm, he was in Santa Fe nm). She fell to the ground crying when she saw him and they came over to my place 1st for a bath(he was missing most of his fur from stress rubbing it off) when he saw me he collapsed into my lap waiting for the water, and just became so relaxed. It was like all the weight of the world fell off him. I sang to him and me and my friend cried a little. Poor baby. He is happy and healthy now.
Many years ago my dog went missing. She was only gone one night. The depression my dog showed after being rescued made me wonder what the heck happened in 24 hours. @@eeltenaj19 that's so sad. I rescued a Boxer who was approx 6months old. The Humane Society picked her up as a stray so they knew nothing about her. Can’t believe took that long for someone to find her home specially if she was chipped but so glad she made it back I first thought she was blind but now I see she has been missing for over a year so had to allow those memories to come back
Ashley & Family the way it seems is that it took that long for her to be caught and brought to a shelter to be scanned. Dogs are slippery and don’t usually want to be caught by strangers when they’re lost. But it is great she is finally home where she belongs
A microchip isn't a GPS tracker, wish it was. It's a reader that tells what vet inserted it, from there they find owner. Still I agree, a long time, maybe they didn't realize he was chipped. They should have a collar too with info and that he's chipped
Many people forget to register the dog in the database too. It’s nice they chip them, but for godsake people, follow up and register your address, phone number and name. I know many vets only have the numbers in their database and have so many animals they look after, it’s not always certain they actually know the owners. Especially when people jump from one vet to another.
Also it seemed like the mom knew she would probably be scared, and was rightfully instructing her daughters to remain calm so as not to overwhelm the dog.
@Dream Theory I stopped here to post this. Sometimes the microchips aren't even registered. It's just a form you fill out with your contact info, most of them are even done online and it takes two minutes.

My cat went missing in Mexico, shortly after we left the USA to live here. 23 days later, she some way found us again, not thru the streets, but from the ROOFS! She was starving, skinny and covered in horrible stickers! But she lived for another year, and she just passed last week. I love her so much, Meander was her name, MiMi for short. She lived in our RV and traveled all over the west with us. When weflew to Mexico, she adored the huge trees and landscapes here, so she had a wonderful life. I will miss her forever.

I understand everyone when they lose or lost their dogs, chipped or not chipped. I had found a dog wandering before, friendly, healthy and slightly confused. I took care of her & just called her Mocha cause she resembled chocolate like. We looked on social media, local news, local light post Incase any missing dog signs were posted, and until we finally got a call from the owner. Her name was actually diamond & you should’ve seen HOW JUMPY & HAPPY the dog became they SAW the owners. Absolutely beautiful. I dream & hope all owners can find their little love furry friends & be United. The true joy & happiness is when they’re reunited, forget the rewards

That happened to my pug. He was stolen and he managed to get away and was picked up by a good Samaritan on the side of a highway. We called the animal shelter and they checked the local lost and found website. They saw a listing for a found pug and it was him! He was gone for 3 days.
I have 7 dogs, but there is one that thinks I'm her everything. She shows me how much she loves me. She NEVER leaves my side. She doesn't even want to go potty when the other dogs are let out. I pray for food health for her everyday minute. I pray that she knows she has to be with me for the rest of my life and we can go to heaven together.
I had a dog that ran away when my dad was camping in the Nevada desert. She was alone in the wild for about 8 days at 10 years old. My dad had to leave after the first day and came home without her. It was very devastating for everyone. I was about 8. On the 8th day we get a call from a guy who found her. It was the luckiest thing. NO ONE goes out to where they found her. Like 4 or 5 motorcyclists a year ride by the place she was found at. It was 20 miles away from the camping site she originally ran away from. Funny enough, the place she was found at was a exact place my dad and his friends had stop at when going on motorcycle ride during there camping trip. She must have picked up his sent and stayed there. She was super happy to see us and we where super happy to see her. Her name was Maddie. We rescued her when she was 9. She was a mutt but was about the size of a lab. She lived to be 17 years old and was a very good girl. I miss her a lot. The golden dog in my profile pic is what she looked like. The dog behind her is the puppy we got later. His name is Buster and he was VERY sad when she died.
why would your dad just leave here there? Without returning everyday until he found her himself? Everyone was devastated but no one thought to go back and look? Sorry I'm confused
@@stitches318 He lived in California about 4 hours away. The day after he lost the dog him and his friends searched everywhere they could on their motorcycles but they couldn't stay there forever. The place they camped at wasn't an official camping site is was a random spot 15 miles away from the nearest paved road. He couldn't stay forever. He had a job and and two kids to return to. I dont blame him at all for leaving. Live moves on. It was a miracle that the other motorcycle riders found her and we are forever grateful to those people.
yes life moves on I didn't realize he lived 4 hours away that's not good. these days people are more careful putting their dogs on leashes though I notice some older folks still like to let their dog roam off leash on hikes. Glad you found your dog
@@stitches318 Thank you. And ya, even after this insistent leashes where never really out family's style. She was never a runner and she always stayed very close to my dad becuase she had separation anxiety from being abused in her previous home. This was the first time they went camping with each other. She ended running away at night when my dad and his friends where shooting rifles. She was afraid of loud noices. They would but her in his van when they where shooting but I think a window was left open and she was long gone by the time my dad went to let her out. Sence then she's been camping at the same spot many times and has never left. Going camping was her favorite thing to do even when she was 16 and tired.

She was found about 40 kilometers on the road back to our province and handed to SPCA by a person that saw the ads in local newspapers. When l finally got her she was very tired but cried and barked so joyfully that put us all in tears. In loving memory of my ' Wollie ' that was like my shadow ❤.
So touching. I remember waking up one morning and seeing that my Sandy was missing when I went out to look for her, turns out there were fireworks and she ran away. I freaked out and couldn't stop crying when I couldn't find her, thing is I was getting dressed to search for her on the streets and heard my mom shouting my name and I ran out and saw her tail wagging when my uncle brought her in. I took her in my arms and was so scared for her, luckily I thought her to always walk on the curb and never the street. Still I can't imagine the fear she was feeling when she ran off, since then she began sleeping in my room. I miss her so much, next week she turns 2 years since she passed away and I'll always miss her.
I couldn't find my dog in the house and thought he got out somehow...I found him sleeping on a pillow that is the same color so I just missed him. I cried because he was "missing" for five minutes. I would be out of my mind if he was gone for 19 months!
My dog went missing, we have no idea how she got out We spend the entire day looking for her We posted pics on Facebook, we shared it in the family group. My mom and sis walked around the neighborhood all night.. And we still couldn't find her The next day when my dad went to go check the post box.. There she was, right infront of our gate. I remember praying all day for God to please bring her back
@mateas786 You are correct a man must stand on his own 2 feet but to say God is for the weak minded is absolutely false. Churches have been turned into a control mechanism to keep people from the truth. Not many preachers preach what the bible states. I strive to follow Christ even though I still fall short. I challenge you to see what Jesus says we must do to enter the kingdom of heaven. You will truly see how hard it is. Try turning off the television and not watching worldly movies or sports. Is there ANYTHING in your life that you could hold above God? There is nothing on this earth you are suppose to hold next to him or above him. I pray God opens your eyes during these uncertain times. Good luck and stay healthy.

My dog ran away and after two days animal control brought him back to me. He looked so pathetic and scared. Once he seen me he was so happy. He’s my best buddy. Sleeps with me every night and won’t leave my side. Best buddy ever. Friends for life
We had a family friend watch our 2 dogs the week we went on vacation. He took them to his house that was 5 miles away. He woke up the next morning and they were gone so of course we were all freaking out. Our neighbor called us a few hours later to tell us they were sitting on our front porch. We don't know how they found their way home, but were happy they did!
Saw a comment here saying they don't seem excited to have their dog back. Sorry to say, but not everyone expresses their feelings the same way you do. Some might scream with joy or cry rivers of happiness but others are able to contain their emotions because perhaps they'd be too embarrassed to do it in public or just don't want to cry about what could have been, they're just glad they got their dog back.
Agreed. It’s sad when people come to some sort of conclusion because someone reacts a different way on camera. People have been wrongly convicted because of this.
Also the initial moment of joy was when they got the phonecall about their dog being found, getting to the shelter takes atleast half an hour if it's close. And judging from the trust the dog put in the employee he/she might have been there for a couple of days to do a health check
honestly this made me cry. Cant imagine how it was for them to be 19 months apart for there puppy. I wouldn't be able to be apart from my puppy not even 1 day...
We had a dalmation that was 10 years old , we let her out to go one evening , and she never returned , she never would leave the yard , so we got quite concerned as the temps were in the minus at night... 3 days passed and we figured she was stolen , or dead... then one day my Mother in law calls and says on the police scanner people were calling about a dalmation running up and down the freeway... we are only a mile from it... so I called dispatch and was told they were getting numerous calls about a dalmation... I asked if they had a mile marker and it was right near our location ... we hopped in the car and drove up and down looking for about a hour , and there she was hiding under a pine tree, but she refused to come to us ... I called my wife and she arrived with some lunch meat ... at first the dog would not go to her either, but since she was my wife's dog my wife knew the right things to say and she cautiously walked up to her and gobbled the lunch meat...and we got her in the car... once she had the house in site her tail started waging furiously, she knew she was home.. she hopped on the couch and slept for hours... we figured she might have had a small stroke as she was older and forgot how to get home ... she never left the yard ever again after that.
God is good and protected her the whole time from cars hitting her. Thank you Lord for the amazing testimony. Thanks for sharing, gives ppl hope they'll one day find their missing pet child/friend someday too 😁
@@Irisvde I asked myself this question several times throughout my life, both of my parents passed away and so did my caretaker who is my grandma. I'm learning a lot now through studying the Bible, including the life of Job and the earlyChristians, who had very hard lives. I think that this question is familiar to most people on earth. If God is good, then why does he allow suffering? You're not alone in wondering this. But just know, that God works through pain. He works through all circumstances. And He does love you. The pain we experience when someone we love dies can cause us to wonder why we have to exist in such a world. It wasn't supposed to be this way. It wasn't supposed to be this painful. But when sin entered the picture, the perfection of creation was broken and in entered: misery, striving, hopelessness. The good news that we have through Jesus Christ who suffered and died unfairly on our behalf is that we will be restored, that we can have peace and joy, and most importantly, we can have a relationship with God!
@@Irisvde I can tell you're kind of bitter that God allows your dog to be taken away from you, and I understand, pets are precious , and God actually created animals and us together. It's a beautiful thing. But I just encourage you, to actually talk to God about the pain that you feel from your life. That's what I did. And that's when I began to find peace and healing. Much love to you Rose.
Rose Why do you have to do that ? Seriously? I’m sorry your dog got hit, but there’s seriously no reason whatsoever for you to make it about you. Let people celebrate a beautiful thing how they want to celebrate it.

My dogs recognize my car, voice and face I believe. I had a dog that went missing for a week. I yelled her name from the car and she came running! I think dogs do recognize or can recognize you by other means other than scent.
For those judging the oldest need to watch the video again. She rubbed the dog a few times and its the reason the dog jumped up there with her to begin with.
@Se Se No she didn't. You can plainly see the mom instructing the children to remain calm & not crowd the scared dog. They didn't want to overwhelm her while she was in a fragile state, as they were likely warned against by the staff.
@@JackDManheim she's telling them not to overwhelm the dog BEFORE it recognized them.. I'm guessing it's okay to pet it, after it's jumping up and down and wagging it's tail. I don't know why she acted like this, seemed kinda rude actually.
they were likely told to stay calm and give the dog space. dogs need families to be confident and this one had been on his/her own for a while. the family would have been instructed not to overwhelm the dog straight away, and they probably didn't realize that once they were recognized they could swoon.
They all are happy in the inside. They are just nervous because they haven’t seen her in so long, were instructed by mom to be gentle not to scare their puppy, and they’re being filmed. :) !
@MystyWisp That eldest girl clearly didn't love her dog very much! She didn't even cuddle the poor thing... Ok, she may have been a little nervous because she was being filmed, but still.

I don't know how they restrained themselves from going up to her. If one of my dogs went missing for over a year I would be calling out her name and running to her in happiness.

This brought tears to my eyes. I can only imagine the reunion for the pup was so heart filled. My dog went missing once out of the 15 years I’ve had her she’s *still alive* and I knew that she was suppose to be ours when I found her a day later. - Some people don’t know what to do, the only best thing you can do is report it and submit the dog into a shelter for the owner to look for them. People are so unaware of lost animals and keep them selfishly or continue to let them roam. :( - Luckily, when I reported my lost chihuahua, someone reported her as well, we were reunited in a whole different area of the city. When I met her, she was so frightened and scared. She acted just like this pup in the video. I was so scared she wouldn’t recognize me. But then I called her name, *sasha* ,and she look at me like “huh?” Trimmering in her boots she smelled me and got so excited. She knew it was her momma lol. 🥰
People - everyone with a pet - get them Microchipped. It's easy, doesn't cost much. Some places even have them discounted. Please - this way your pet has a chance to be found and returned to you!!
@@kamimoros Good one! Yes. The comma is critical to my comment. But I believe during the horrible seven years of tribulation that "the mark of the beast" will be a microchip.
How is it that the oldest girl doesn't take out her hands frim her pockets and embrace her? I will be hugging and crying thanking God that she was alive and back to me!
This story sounds like I made it up I promise this happened. My cat went missing for a week or so in December and we had no idea where he had went because all the doors and windows were shut and there was no way he could have got out the house. We posted flyers and asked around the neighborhood to no avail. We had given up hope until on Christmas morning we hear a loud meow outside the back door. Our cat waltzed in the door as if nothing had happened, covered in soot. We quickly realized he must of climbed up the damn chimney!

I know many vets only have the numbers in their database and have so many animals they look after, it’s not always certain they actually know the owners. Especially when people jump from one vet to another.
Something is off with that family tho.
scent brought her back
Also it seemed like the mom knew she would probably be scared, and was rightfully instructing her daughters to remain calm so as not to overwhelm the dog.
Yeah, the way she gestured for them to stay back shows that. Glad she's seemingly teaching her kids to be respectful of animals.
As a 15 year veteran dog handler at a rescue facility, I cannot stress enough, the importance of microchipping your pets
And your parents to.
I wish I could,I live in Lebanon,microchips aren't even a thing here
@@nadaalhajj1119 That is most unfortunate. Perhaps you can get involved in bringing this technology, to your area.
@Dream Theory I stopped here to post this. Sometimes the microchips aren't even registered. It's just a form you fill out with your contact info, most of them are even done online and it takes two minutes.
@Micro Aggressor Safespace-Man LoL.

Wow! Incredible story! I’m sorry for your loss! But, at least she found her way back to you!
Sorry to hear she passed but at least you got to tell her goodbye this time cherish that part forever. I know a family that had a cat for 8 or 9 years and he ran away I couldn't imagine having a pet that long just to have them do that.
This is so happy! I feel bad for all those shelter animals. They need loving homes exactly like these! Adopt please!❤️ this is so heartwarming!
Thankyou for not instantly keeping her❤

We had a house fire and my pitbull was at the vet for weeks for smoke inhalation. When he got picked up I wasn't at the hotel but when he went into my room he stayed in there till I got back. He was do excited he followed me EVERYWHERE.

That happened to my pug. He was stolen and he managed to get away and was picked up by a good Samaritan on the side of a highway. We called the animal shelter and they checked the local lost and found website. They saw a listing for a found pug and it was him! He was gone for 3 days.

I honestly think I would have to be hospitalized if my sweet baby boy Milo was missing I have tears in my eyes just thinking about it
The name Milo did bring tears to my eyes. I had a dog named Milo for 16 awesome years. He passed away in 2016. I still tear up anytime I think if him.
I have 7 dogs, but there is one that thinks I'm her everything. She shows me how much she loves me. She NEVER leaves my side. She doesn't even want to go potty when the other dogs are let out. She stays with me. So I cannot help but to love her back. I think about us not being together someday and I sobb. I can't imagine my life without her. Like Shannon, I'd have to be hospitalized.

Your dad is an idiot who shouldn't have a dog.
19 months? That's like 10 years in dog years! ;) Yeah, it would've taken me a minute or 2 to recognize my owners lol. That moment she recognizes the mom is priceless!

@mateas786 she was still a puppy tho, that's y it was kinda surprising that she knew her way back
@mateas786 You are correct a man must stand on his own 2 feet but to say God is for the weak minded is absolutely false.

Very emotional I'm very happy for the dog and for the family 💙

19 months!?! Aww. The dog missed it's family so much!
Awwww oh my goodness! She was probably so scared. Im glad you guys got her back
God is good and protected her the whole time from cars hitting her.
