JCB done this years ago! The seat mounted backhoe controls sounds like good idea, but damn ELECTRONICS is the biggest problem with down time. This just something els to go down from corrosion and drive the price up on the machines!!

Should hav left the controles the way it was on the 432f i think does are better less problems an lower cost to make an the operater wouldnt have a stick up his elbow wen turning the wheel

It would be awesome to make the left joystick make the backhoe go forward and backward and turn. Get rid of the steering wheel and foot pedals go to all electric over hydraulic the skid steers

These engineers that design these machines have absolutely no idea of the difference between motion and progress. If they really wanted to make an improvement in Backhoes, design one on a cam to improve visibility on the rear end and to eliminate leaning over your own shoulder all day. I saw one in Europe last year and if they can figure it out, why can't the US manufacturers. The improvements on this machine are virtually worthless. Like automatic idle, how lazy do you have to be to find turning a throttle button or lever down.

Justin Hood hell no that would suck, I would MUCH rather have the steering wheel that joystick control

Okay I see all your points. But let's say someone is paralyzed like myself and it would be easier to have a backhoe than a ctl and and mini excavator.

machine looks heavy and unbalanced. I doubt they will sell well. With that being said, I would like to see them sell well, in fact i'd like to see all the manufactures sell more backhoes, but the high cost of these new machines and the increasing pressure from mini's and skid loaders I don't see backhoes being around for more then another decade. This is sad to see.

@@billy-zx10r I'm not entirely sure, but I would guess some where near $160-170 thousand with the enclosed cab and all the features these two machines have.

These backhoes being built today are not ran by operators every day! They are being built for city work flat ground put them in rough terrain and they begin to show flaws! Cat is just a name if you want a perfect backhoe ask a operator in the field where its put to maximum limits

Where I work I’m a fucken celebrity on the backhoe, I run a 430it. That machine is one of my only passions in life. I can do shit on that thing that many say would be impossible to do. If you can pay me more than what the company I work for pay me I will work for you, but your machine must be a 430 or better. I will blow your mind on that machine. I can honestly say I can do better than anything I’ve ever seen done on it. I can get a job done faster and better than anyone else. When I’m on that machine I am centred, and im here to break records.

Let me add this, machine maintenance and total care is also key to my success. I do everything slow and easy, but slow and easy in my books is quick and careful.

Ps, I will gladly show videos and photos of my portfolio. IE, tricks, tips, stunts, and overall quality. I do absolute quality work in an extremely short period of time. I pride myself in flawlessness work. Infact I’m anal retentive and obsessed with perfection.

Worst idea ever to have controls on the seat. Nothing like trying to drive and operate the machine without your left arm and elbow hitting that joystick. Guys that design this stuff don’t operate it all day like we do. I like my backhoe controls in the rear as they are. Plus more adjustability for comfort and feel with the sticks not being on the seat. This is a bad idea. Anyone I know hates the seat mounted controls in their backhoes from other manufacturers. They like my setup and wish they had it.

We don't need sideshift here, we have more room in our country. It's like how we have hoods and you have cabovers, our country doesn't have cities with tiny streets that go back a thousand years. We can get flip over forks, we just use forklifts or quick couplers and forks because they work better.
