Thank you for your video. I stay in a remote village in India and my mini 2 took a plunge in one of my fishery ponds. Followed you instructions cleaned it up with IPA and powered it back on. It is as good as new now and gave me lot of confidence. I was really scared opening it up. Thanks
I have the mavic mini and same issue as yours, I'm also waiting on a new esc, should be soon, I did the alchole thing and it worked for maybe a min but then back to the 2 white lights on the bottom, great video thank you 👍
@@thecuriousnomad4712 hey I had same issue with my mavic mini back in July! Since then I kept it in my room and today I started jus to see and works like a charm. Only thing is the sd card got damaged and I put a new one and it’s detecting!!
I'm sorry if you get asked this a lot (I only just found this channel), but do you still knap? You really inspired me and you were such a great teacher, I would love to see more of that.
Sometimes, I still have some rock and all my tools but have too many hobbies. Looking back though I'll have to say that Flintknapping was without a doubt the most fun hobby I have ever had. When I was knapping everything else seemed to fade away and I'd get lost in the stone! Crazy but true. Anyway, glad you liked the videos, thanks.
Good job man . Unfortunately I’m not capable of this kind of repair . Just paid £250 for gimbal repair . Which I find ridiculous considering the whole package is only £550 . I will definitely be taking more care in future.
Just watched, so how has your mini faired. Can't seem to find a part 2 to this story. Subbed as well, hope to find time to watch some of your videos in the next couple of days
Geez man I’ve said before and I’ll say again you’re impressive. Lol. I told Kristi I hope I never have to find out what the inside of our Mini 2 looks like. Lol. But $42 is a lot better than $420, eh? Very cool video. Can’t wait to see if your board replacement works out. God bless!!!! Kevin
It is just a very tiny philips screwdriver but 2 of the srews are set very deep maybe 1/2" or more so you need a fairly long reach screwdriver. I have a small multiple screwdriver set and that worked for me, they have lots of them very cheap at Harbor freight.
Hey can you help me? im getting power system error and drone not working, it 2 years old but no crashes or water submerge. i think maybe just dirt or dust inside. plz advise thanks.
Hi! My drone landed in a foot of water for about 5 minutes... it still had power, then I shut it down... now nothing after letting it sit in a bag of rice for a week... it won't power up at all... can anyone offer any advice or help... suggestions to troubleshoot?
mine sat at the bottom of my pond for 4 weeks or so. just found it today thanks to one motor being visible sticking out of the mud. so i scooped it out. my camera protector face plate thing is missing (the piece that says 4k on the camera) .. i couldnt believe the drone even powered on. water got in the camera and she's blurry. that face plate has a gasket so im guessing that was the water protection. not the first crash so mightve been already gone. gps and such doesn't connect. the gimble does try to center. unsuccesfully. sounds like dirt in it though. ugh. i got a new one already but it'd be sweet if i could get it working again.
Did you try a different battery other than the one that got submerged? Maybe there is some kind of water detection in the battery triggering that error. Just a hunch!
My drone got caught up in a 40 meter tall tree for 14 months. After numerous weeks of rain and violent wind storm it fell to the ground. After plugging it back up there was no connection. So I left it in a bag of rice for 24 hours and worked as soon as I connected
Good question. I was flying low over a swimming pool at around 10' with the Gimbal straight down. I stopped to hover then raised the Gimbal to level and did a 360 to look around, did not see anything in the way so I pushed the left stick upward to rise straight up. There was a palm tree leaf directly above me! I could see the drone hit and was hoping it would recover but within a second I could see it sinking in the water! Unfortunately there is no way to see directly above the drone and I learned that lesson the hard way!
@@RJinspire from that incident yes i believe so. the propellers getting hit is what messes up the flight, so some protection there may have the drone bounce off, but not lose it's propeller motion as much so it will rebalance itself but stay in flight at least.
I would have given it a good spray right away with WD40 or may be a future idea I know this through mechanics that it's the best thing to use especially on electrical components. Thankyou though for your upload very interesting.

Hi mate I use CRC 2.26 it's made for electronic and I spray my motors it lubricates protects against moisture and water.
Thanks, good info for sure

Hi could you please tell me what size screwdriver you used to remove the screws at the bottom .

What kind of alcohol did you use?
We hope that your Mini2 will fly again soon.

Yeah, at least you can use the recovered one for parts, that is what I am doing
Mustn't forget to continually "Go Ahead".
Always

Yes, definetly not the battery, thanks

Interesting work, how did your Mini 2 took the plunge? It would be interesting to share the info so we can avoid such incidents

Yeah, I have heard that WD-40 can be used like that, never tried it though....
Esc board issues

Yeah, I'm kinda surprised how little there is inside also
Omg waste of time.
