GAEREA have become one of my most listened black metal bands, their album LIMBO is beautiful front to back and this month they will release MIRAGE on the 23... Can't fucking wait, also, hope you feel good after the surgery much love from Argentina
As a melodeath and tech death fan for almost 20 years, Gaerea would be the gateway for me to proceed into black metal scene. The resemblance between early melodeath and Gaerea in vocals and melodies are undeniable i think. Added a grain of morbidness for sure. If exists, any similar band recommendations are appreciated.
@@bernardocatrilef2846 Thanks for the recommendations. After I had written the comment, I explored Mgla via TH-cam Music recommendations and can't stop listening them since. Will definitely check the rest of the bands. Cheers
Noctem’s most recent album is a great supplement to Gaerea. They took their sound in a more progressive direction with Credo Certe Ne Cras. The Lithuanian band Erdve is also great. Heavy, sludgy, progressive, experimental. . . a bit of everything.
Been getting into this band lately. The vocalist to me sounds kinda like a more aggressive version of John Tardy (Obituary). Like this anguished howl. Though a bit lower in tone. And the music is both ferocious but you can clearly distinguish the melodies. I like it.
It seems nowadays young bands try to advance by mixing genres and I appreciate that a lot. Definitelly, I will add the GAEREA to my extreme tech prog playlist! Thanks for reaction, uncle Boris)
I discovered them fairly recently and have been very impressed. I was even lucky enough to see them live in the UK and their performance is pretty much what they do in the music video. It was a small venue but they played like they were in front of hundreds of people, real pros. I disagree with the vocals sounding hardcore, or rather that they don't sound BM; the pitch is kinda mid-range but the style still fits black metal for me (particularly DSBM/atmospheric). Need to dive into these guys more!
I was supposed to see Gaerea a month ago, but their vehicle broke down in a blizzard, so they weren't able to make it. They were opening for a tour headed by Rotting Christ with another favorite band of mine Uada. I was mainly going to the show for Gaerea and Uada, but I had a blast.
I got their album Limbo as a gift from my girlfriend and they have become one of my favorite bands ever. I will be seeing them in a few weeks when the open for Rotting Christ.
Lets not forget: A sulfurous choir Enthroned in the realms of light A self-deceiving entity of undenying praise Freedom gets him anxious Suffocating Isolation To the staring eyes behind the glass A defaced figure lies upon them To the already replaced one Here's the peace of mind You'll never find Ripped into a neon light As if the mirror reflects his skull Staring back at him with its sardonic smile Carnation lead by the flute of temperament Total blackness among the pessimists Blueish waters of past memories Running through his refulgent arms The mortals behind the wall Hastening every step Watching his bones crack To see how long he lasts He is of contemplation The ultimate specimen of time Growing desolation had come Stripping the flesh, salting the wound Nothing in life shall be granted In the sharpest nails, I've been consumed I am hunger, the desperate A living lie, a contradiction The fool's gold The indulging taste of rust The conquering of nature's triumph A caustic distraction in misery A tragic moan of logic All he ever dreamt, all he ever lost Acid rain crying in wide open flesh Forgiveness is a never-ending flood
Hope you doing well after your surgery… at least you can move without pain… right? GAEREA is by far my favourite post black metal. The last album “Limbo” is beast. You wanna se something crazy? Check out “Limbo” on TH-cam, GAEREA just sits there and stairs in the camera for an hour 🤣
hello!!! GAEREA is an absolutely beautiful piece of work. Amazing team. I have a photo with all of them without masks. We did after the concert. All right boys. Greetings to you Boris... 🎸🤘🤘🤘🎸
Yes it's from the new album. It's not coming out in September. Actually I'm talking with the label these days to decide but the single will definetelly come soon!
For me sounds like = "REGARDE LES HOMMES TOMBER" combined with "MGLA" !! Just awesome !! 🤘🤘 By the way, i really suggest you to check this band and this video ➡ Regarde Les Hommes Tomber - The Crowning (Live at Roadburn Redux)
Man You should check out the most unusual "black metal" bands: 1. Uratsakidogi (black-hop) 2. Mora Prokaza (track CHECK IT witch wideo is hilarious) :) I'm sure You'll like the creativity both bands represent. Greets from Poland (where MGŁA is from)
saw them with Wolves in the Throne Room. great music, good stage performance. by the way, the stage right guitarist is a woman. not that it matters cause she shreds
It is very good see you again, I like your videos very interesting, by the way, have you heard "abadon" of mental cruelty and "rives of knives" of whorm shepherd, both songs are like symphonic brutal blackened deathcore, very good songs 👌cheers, have a nice day
I agree with basically everything you are saying. I don't mind this but its definitely stretching the definition of Black metal in many elements. Its a good band, just wish it was presented in a different image. To me they don't sound like any Black metal band because they haven't taken that many influences from the Black metal scene. Maybe some Harakiri for the Sky and a bit of Mgla along with Envy even.
You should react to the band Humanity's Last Breath and their song Dehumanize. I think I mentioned the band to you before. They're like a blackened death thall band. These guys are considered to be one of the heaviest/darkest bands out there today. Definitely check them out :) Not to mention you actually look like the singer for Humanity's Last Breath 😂
Thank you Boris !
you're welcome guys 🤘
Grande banda!! 🇵🇹🇧🇷
this band made me love black metal, before I was only on death metal side, now I love both
Digo o mesmo, graças essa banda conheci o Black metal
Gaerea has very quickly become one of my favorite bands since I discovered them this summer! Their anguished style of black metal is just so cool!
The drummer is ABSOLUTELY INSANE !

y vienen en noviembre 🤘
@@massbagic si y yo no tengo plata, anda a destruirte por mí
Great fucking band! Thank you, Portugal!
Sounds to me like a blend of death and black, melodic of course...This blend always works nicely if you do it properly and they clearly did.
I was lucky to see GAEREA at their first USA tour. Their amazing on stage. There's so much emotion in their music. It's just fantastic.
Saw them at the Montreal show can’t wait to see them again in 2 weeks !
@charlotbk1437 Yeah, dude, WITTR, GAEREA and Blackbraid. Hoaxed sounds good too.
Caught them on their 2nd visit. Getting ready for Philly on the 23rd...
@D3ADPO3TRY I'm seeing them on blackfriday. Taking my 10 year old son as well and we bought the VIP. It should be a good time! you have fun as well!
my favourite
Discovered this band because of my tattoo artist who made me listen to this whole album while doing a big session . This band is soooo good
Founded that band about 2-3 years ago. Absolutely amazing band
They are Portuguese like me :) I have already interviewed them about «Limbo» for Versus Magazine (Portugal) \m/
And now I've interviewed them about «Mirage» for Versus Magazine \m/
Do you know why the singer left?
Glad to see you're doing better man! 🤘🏻
GAEREA are amazing, def something unique! Cheers from Portugal!
This band it's pure gold dude 👌

Interesting band, definitely worth attention. I like that the vocalist actually sings, not only screams at one note.
Not here for vocalist
Nah
Growls >>>> Clean singing.
It's good that you're recovered, greetings from Argentina
I'm a big fan of this band, they are something... great...
I from belgium, i have all of their album in cd.
I saw them in Vicenza ( Italy) a couple of months ago! Not much people in that show, but they were incredible!
Been getting into this band lately. The vocalist to me sounds kinda like a more aggressive version of John Tardy (Obituary). Like this anguished howl.

Wow!
This band rips, definitely gonna check out more by them.

The band that is an ode to self destruction.
You look very healthy! Good you are back!
I look like shit but thanks 😂
Too skinny, can't wait to build some muscles from November on
Lets not forget:
A sulfurous choir
Enthroned in the realms of light
A self-deceiving entity of undenying praise
Freedom gets him anxious
Suffocating Isolation
To the staring eyes behind the glass
A defaced figure lies upon them
To the already replaced one
Here's the peace of mind
You'll never find
Ripped into a neon light
As if the mirror reflects his skull
Staring back at him with its sardonic smile
Carnation lead by the flute of temperament
Total blackness among the pessimists
Blueish waters of past memories
Running through his refulgent arms
The mortals behind the wall
Hastening every step
Watching his bones crack
To see how long he lasts
He is of contemplation
The ultimate specimen of time
Growing desolation had come
Stripping the flesh, salting the wound
Nothing in life shall be granted
In the sharpest nails, I've been consumed
I am hunger, the desperate
A living lie, a contradiction
The fool's gold
The indulging taste of rust
The conquering of nature's triumph
A caustic distraction in misery
A tragic moan of logic
All he ever dreamt, all he ever lost
Acid rain crying in wide open flesh
Forgiveness is a never-ending flood
Following you for some while, finally i see something from my country and you did choose prety well. Cheers mate.
" I'd love to be a drummer of this band" . Definitely the best line said by you 💖.
I foooookin love your reactions!
Always make me smile!
Hail!
Hail the eternal darkness!

Hell yeah! Cheers from Portugal 🥂
Pure energy, they remind me Dark Funeral in old times...even don't know why).
Excactly

Greetings to you Boris... 🎸🤘🤘🤘🎸
Boris can you tell me the song playing in the outro at 7:23
The band's name means "The Night" in the Basque language. Pretty cool imo
CATHARTIC BLACK METAL 4TH WAVE OF BLACK METAL STRIKES!!!
Glad you’re back, Boris.
They remind my of folk metal skyforger from Latvia
It's great to see you again!
Yes they are very original,
but in their first album they had a notable Behemoth influence
Gaerea is what Behemoth should have become after The Satanist
This band is similar to Regarde Les Hommes Tomber. I love this stuff.
Them and Der Weg Einer, for me, are the best out there.
Great to see you back man. 🤘🏼
To me his screams sound more like Niklas Kvarworth from Shining, and imo gaerea has very much Black Metal vocals.
Thank you again Boris !!
Reminds me of Morgul vocals. Pretty solid.
That was a great industrial nu-metal death thrash grindcore black metal song.
I’d love to see these guys tour the states with The Infernal Sea!🤘🏻
Glad your back man...killer track 🤘🤘🤘
Glad to see you're doing better
Give me time to put my headphones on 😂😂 🎉🎉 ❤❤
Glad the surgery went well hope you're doing well and hopefully you never have to be on an operating table again Boris
I discovered Gaerea this summer too, in MOTOCULTOR festival. GAEREA look like nothing, this is my biggest punch in my face.
Have you heard of Nightbringer or Akhlys ?
The absolut best black metal bands with Bestia Arcana and Aoratos.
Gaerea Mirage will probably be my AOTY.... the 3 singles released so far have been excellent
Good to see you healthy brother🤘
Something between Der Weg einer Freiheit,Mgla and Behemoth
When is the new album coming out?
September 23rd if I remember correctly
@@StoopidSnot The part playing on the outro is so good. I think it is from the new album, can not wait.

Gaerea is Black Metalcore
You should react to Calligram’s song ex-sistere! They have a really unique blackened hardcore sound!

I like the Black Metal sound of france. Consider "Houle"
Like the song, nice reaction!
You should check out DORMANT ORDEAL from Poland.
Mayhem - Deathcrush meets modern Slipknot, that's the vibe i was getting.
Reminds me a little of MGLA or UADA
Ah yes, This channel is my source of finding new songs containing blats beats
They definitely remind me more of blackened death metal...like Belphegor
Welcome back dude 🤘
0:13 and remember “beer” instead of “bear”
and mgła
Please check out The Great Old Ones
saw them with Wolves in the Throne Room. great music, good stage performance. by the way, the stage right guitarist is a woman. not that it matters cause she shreds
You need to check Signs of the Swarm - Unbridled =)
