Yoohyeon was my first bias from Dreamcatcher! She can go from being absolutely lethally fatal, to wittle cute puppeh
My bias too. She just edges out Gahyeon for me.
Yoohyeon already knew some Mandarin when Handong joined the company about 6 months before Dreamcatcher's debut so she made it through the communication barrier the easiest and get close with Handong first. Videos of the very earliest days Handong is always with Yoohyeon or very nearby. (I don't know if Dami already knew Mandarin or learned it to take care of Handong which is 100% a Dami thing to do). That silver hair is from You & I reprised during Scream era because everyone liked it so much, but members still called her a grandma. The puppy is also one of the most conventionally sexy/hot members that fronted many m/v's with JiU early on. The D in Dreamcatcher is for duality.
My understanding (which may be incorrect) is that they were all studying Mandarin toward the end of MinX era, which may or may not have been because Dongie was set to join them (maybe they were planning to promote there at some point; I dunno). But Yoo being Yoo, she was just better at it than the others.
Yoohyeon is such an amazing person, she is my bias. I have a few things in common with her personality lol I think that's why I identified with her so much.

Another group of videos that insomnicsy has done is "Introducing Dreamcatcher being Unfiltered Idols". Those are always a fun ride if you wanted to do them after diving into their discography more (obviously up to you, just a recommendation if you do more personality videos)
The song in the second video that Yoohyeon was flexing with was Mamamoo's I Miss You. It is truly a flex because not many people would be able to sing it well and so there is kind of a dearth of covers. The best part about her take on it is that she never tried to sound like the original group and used her own unique skillset.
Mamamoo is another group I don't know much about but Yoohyeon sounded beautiful
@@AntiSocialPlanet Mamamoo is a lot like Dreamcatcher. Incredible vocals, unique performance quality, and really cute & funny off stage. These days people know more about the Mamamoo members as individuals than as a group due to them focusing on solos and other kinds of content during the pandemic. If you know the names Moonbyul, Solar, Hwasa, and/or Wheein they're members of Mamamoo! 😂 For a good time look up Dreamcatcher on Studio Moon Night, Moonbyul's old radio show. They were guests 3 times and SuA...was a lot each time.

@@AntiSocialPlanet That's pretty common. 😂 I discovered them via a poorly worded YT search! I recommend listening to I Miss You (the Queendom version is the best) because it's just a nice little song that harkens back to 90's R&B. It's not a title track so if you ever get into them it won't take away a video.

Our clumsy adorable pup, a powerhouse of a singer. She has a sad story and a sensitive soul and that's why the members especially Minji and Sua are very attached and protective of her. She's also the rebellious one, always pushing Sua buttons by being informal but her bestie is Dami who really cares and looks after her.
I also feel really protective of her, she seems like such a sweetheart
Other than all the obvious special things about her I always find it cute how as you said, she has no filter, but immediately after doing almost anything where she is the center of attention she becomes instantly shy and embarrassed. 😊The big exception to that though might be the "No Dot Challenge" from the past year of touring. That was something.... 😅

(I miss you) beautiful af you wanna talk about vocal powerhouses Mamamoo is where it's at and a lot of the two fandoms overlap too cause of just how talented and chaotic the two groups are😂(and because both groups stand for powerful messaging) The two are also fans of eachotehr and it's really cute :33 (Mamamoo's rapper Moonbyul did a couple interviews with them that was just...... Pure frickin chaos it was fantastic 😂) I always wondered what would happen if you put the two groups in one room together but I don't think the windows or ceiling would survive, they'd tear the building down with pure loud unfiltered chaos😂

All jokes aside Yooyheon is amazing, her vocal tone is beautiful, she 100% would be main vocal in any other group, she just happened to land in the same group as Siyeon who is an absolute beast.
