Perfectionists can hurt himself, sometimes physically, sometimes mentally. They impose strict disciplines, maintaining it or going even further. ChoA seems like one of those, with a strong sense of responsibility. To live in such a tough circumstance, always surrounded by eyes and social pressure must have pushed her mental limits harshly, we can easily imagine. Hope she will be released soon and will bring that smile back again.
I think because Choa had to try so hard, in comparison to someone that has talent naturally with less effort..... we want Choa more. The essence of her caring enough to put so much of her heart and soul into what she does really shines through in such a way that simply just being able to do something/anything without much effort doesn't. I think all of us that miss her miss that, even though many of us weren't aware. When she left in 2017 and gave us the reasons I understood it and agreed with her although I knew I would miss seeing her. Now I'm even more glad she left, I don't keep up with KPop at all anymore but a few times a year I check to see if there is anything new with Choa. She's the only one in all of Korea that will keep me searching for her, and I hope she does come back in some shape/way/form.

I'm here after the Jimin bullying scandal. I think a lot of people are wondering if Choa was bullied as well since Mina and Chanmi have admitted came out and said it... but even if Choa was, I think the worst bully on Choa was herself. It's telling that even though this is a promotional clip you can tell real concern from the others, Jimin included. I have to think that there was no one cause for Choa leaving AOA. I think it was the company pressure, Choa's own insecurities, the awful fan-rumors, and perhaps Jimin thrown in. As if July 13, 2020 we don't know. Choa still is silent. But this clip really was an eye opener on Choa's character. She worked herself into a mental break down.
