- Hendon Hooker threw for 385 yards and 5 touchdowns while Jalin Hyatt had 206 yards receiving for 5 touchdowns as Tennessee took down Alabama with a last second field goal, 52-49. Jabari Small, Jaylen Wright and Hendon Hooker combined for 180 yards on the ground.
my dad passed away days this before this season started. he was a vfl; born and raised. This game was played on his birthday. Words don't exist that describe the emotions that filled my heart and soul throughout not only this game, but the preceding 3 months; and the rest of the season. We always talked about how this was "going to be the year" and it finally was. Can't wait to sing rocky top with you again dad.
I grew up in Tennessee listening to the great John Ward call the games on radio from 1969. My now 87-year-old dad has been a Vol fan his whole life. So happy for him and all UT fans.
I still can’t believe what I witnessed in Knoxville Saturday night, what a game and what a night, can’t wait to be back next weekend
I’ll be honest. Great game and win by UT. But it took you long enough. I am an Ole Miss guy. We beat Saban 2 years in a row. You guys have way more resources and potential than us. And love Hooker. He is the difference. He and Bryce are amazing QBs.

As a native of Knoxville TN I want to say besides Hooker Hyatt and the rest of the Vols I appreciate Peyton Manning and Kenny Chesney not forgetting their roots. It means alot to us Tennesseans. as a Bama fan I can say that I am now a Vol fan. They are way better than us and I cheer for winners!
Tennessee scored more than 40 points on only 3 teams this year: Ball St (59), Akron (63), and Bama (52). This Tennessee team would not be denied. You would think that Bama would have a better defense since they've been so great for so long. Tennessee is only in its 2nd year of rebuilding!

Every Vol fan will remember where they were amd who they were with when that field goal went through as the clock expires in the background. We need that again this year, except we will just act like it is the new normal. GBO.

I’ve never seen a Tennessee rush on the field until this past Saturday. I remember Manning changing attitudes at Tennessee. Wake up now and they storm the field. I am an old Ole Miss guy. Watched last year’s mustard game. Never understood the anger. Congrats to UT. Big win. Wondering what you think about Georgia? And a rematch against Bama. Bama will be there. No one better in the west.
The mustard bottles = passion. Georgia is legit. Should be a fierce battle. The Georgia trash talk has begun. Most of us are just enjoying one game at a time and the ride. It's fun to watch this offense. We love our vols. We've waited a long time to see this. It's good to be back. Don't have a lot of faith in your team to beat bama? Wouldn't it be nice to see ole miss vs Tennessee?

Coach heupel just showed ole miss, Mississippi state and lsu offensive coordinators how to pick on bama's linebackers snd secondary players. They are horrible in pass coverage.
