Wild Camping and Bushcraft in the Forests of Wales

I went wild camping with my friend Charlie, in a rainy, moss-covered forest in Wales. Clambering over fallen trees and hidden streams, we found some good flat ground to set up camp.
Dusk was setting in and we had no fire, so we hurriedly chopped some standing deadwood for kindling. The wet conditions made it difficult to start a fire, but with a lot of effort we managed to get it going and cook some food after dark. The next morning Charlie made a stand for grilling and we made some lunch and played some guitar. We doused the fire with water and spread the ashes after waiting a while to minimize any risks.
