I'm about 30 hours in and just started my garden. Man I wished i started sooner.. Gardening really pushes your production up a whole new level and saves so much time for gathering resources.
I will post some more builds soon, but wanted to put out some tip videos. I'll also be postinga vid for making efficient bases as well as one for the best locations (for a number of critera).
Commenting before watching the video. I watched a streamer "speedrun progression" in a competitive pvp tournament. He waited so long to get enclosed castle walls and when he finally did his room layout was attocious for transfering sawdust/stone dust/bone dust/etc between refinement stations. I couldnt belive it took even longer to get Forge and Alchemy flooring. Especially now that you can use vendors to sometimes get the recipes! Like you can't claim you're competitive in a tournament and speedrunning if you can't even follow the tutorial/main quest line 😂
Commenting after watching. Great video! Yeah copper and Sulfur can take a LONG time to smelt so it's always best to get a furnace or two early game to make sure you're always cooking. I often find myself sending servants to copper mine/bandit trapper/bandit armory/church of the damned early game and mid game switch to dunley for cotton farms iron mine and occasionally sending to various spots that have fish as loot as I just don't prefer to stop to fish when in open world.
Looking forward to a good location for a base video.... just came back and I haven't played since launch so these kids have been very helpful. Thank you
Pro tip about the gardening: if you don’t care too much about your castle looking weird, you can put the garden plots that take planks inside, and save space by not having to make a garden, and by not having to check the garden, since it’s all in your core
also: fucking love the fact more people are talking about servants early. if you’ve ever tried to suddenly make 9 sets of gear to max out your servants when you hit endgame- it’s painful. being able to start of early (even just shitty nightstalker armour) you can have them farm stuff for you, even if it’s not much. copper ore is still used for whetstones and coins, so while it might not be silver, it’s still good!
I agree. But you should slow down in between a few bosses to set your stuff up. So that while you're fighting more bosses it'll continue to grow or get you more resources. Usually I try to blitz through Act 1, and after you get your first haul of Iron is when you should develop your Garden and Servants in my opinion. Or after your first big haul of Cotton, since you have the garlic debuff anyways, may as well garden!
@@brandondeakins564 it kinda does because of the end game shards. The last 4 bosses drop shards which are powerfuk necklaces or can be placed in your base and gives you a buff. (Not sure if the buff still happens, it used to do that in EA)
@remortisgaming yes I'm aware of that, but so what? Ok, you are SLIGHTLY advantaged temporarily until someone raids you and takes it....... then what? The shards are cool/ nice to have. But they are hardly essential AND even if you put hard core sweat lord energy into rushing it, if someone else puts the same effort and sleeps 2 hours less (or doesn't have a job) and beats you there, all your rushing was for naught.
@@brandondeakins564 true. That’s why ya defend vs the raid or raid em back! Back in EA I was the server boss and had all the shards, the only way I got beat was 3 clans had to team up vs us. (Was a duo server). In combination with my friend, myself, and our servants, it took them a long time to whittle us down.
@@Madredz haha yeah I saw the /s :P And that makes sense! I just need to get a lil footage of a melee build, probably gonna use Emu's. But can't decide what to use for their offensive spell. Discharge is amazing vs trash mobs and pvp. But isn't as good on pvp. And the reaper isn't too good for bosses imo. I'm thinkin of using blood rite and either the chaos slam, or power surge/blood rage. Trying to avoid using unholy spells to make the builds feel different.
Ngl i think power surge is slept on a bit. I think its a solid option for both pve and pvp. I think the additional dot it brings is well worth using. Im also a full caster so melee isnt my forte honestly.
I kind of think power surge w/ discharge and the static neck would make for a solid build in pvp. Allowing you do have pressure and consistency on your static procs.
Yes and no. Taking a few extra minutes to set up some plots and sew your seeds, or capturing a servant on your way home is totally viable. I’ve done 3 wipes since launch and on my current run I came a day late, and I’m still one of the top dogs. Some other folks I’ve been competing with didn’t take the time to set this stuff up and fell behind me cause they kept having to go back for iron, or cotton, or other goodies that I’ve been sending my servants to gather or stuff from the garden. I’m not saying take an hour. Just 5-10 minutes that you otherwise would just depot and run out.
If your writing scripts try to make them more succinct your narrative was meandering and often seemed like you did have agrasp on what you wanted to say
it's such a shame that we are able to grow so many resources in our own castle, it makes us just sit all day inside and not go out and engage with other players and the world itself. Basically the own farming system it's undercutting on the world exploration and combat system.
@@remortisgaming can sit inside your castle hussling servants and crafting not needing to go out at all. The focus should be more on open world and less on sitting inside, not engaging with other players. It's so fun when you are chasing or are being chased while carring resources. It's less fun to get them from servants and crafting.
@@bogdanrotaru6101 sure, but the servants have to go out for 2 hrs at a minimum. Are you really gonna wait around for 2 hours for them to return? Literally after you put the goods away and send them off another mission, you gotta go back in the world. The servants can gather many resources in the game but they can’t do ALL of them. Not to mention you will always be able to put gather the goods your servants can acquire.
Why is this video titled 'Essential builds' - but it doesn't have a single build mentioned? it's just gameplay tips (and pretty obvious ones at that).. What a waste of time, lol
Shit. Thanks. When posting vids I do "Use same details" from the previous video to save time in typing up stuff in the description among other things, but I usually forget to change the title. It is obvious to me and you, but not to everyone else clawing for server first! My bad for the mixup. I'll be posting some more builds tomorrow or Tuesday.

As anyone in the 2A community knows; "slow is smooth, smooth is fast".

a very pleasant presentation
Thanks! I did ramble a bit too, kinda all over the place during the servant discussion but there's so much to talk about haha
Find it quite satisfiying when it come to harvesting the crops
Not to mention how fun it is to build your castle and make it look purty
V rising is such a chill game.
It definitely can be!
@@remortisgaming PVE is chill, but PVP feels like a completely different thing.
Try playing brutal difficulty... lol
You can harvest 5 rows of crops with the sword's whirlwind. It's also quite satisfying.
Try slashers! The dash covers a good portion in one swoop.
Just don't use the morning star's fire whip ability. It burns your entire garden down without harvesting anything. It does look cool, though.

Nice. Can you do build vid with mid game boss solo ing? I'm liking the cold and lightning
Yessir! I’ll post some more builds tomorrow or Tuesday.
Going slow is probably fine on PvE, but if you intend to play on PvP you have to go fast and prioritize gear levels quickly.

Not really. Everyone will be max level and on even footing within like 2 weeks. Getting there first doesn't make much of a difference

Why would i run all the way south when there are waygates?
On a pvp server this will slow you down a lot in comparison to the people pushing the content.
