Great news. How exciting. Have fun Nils. We'll be following. It is pretty crazy out there but you have to release the brakes on the water to truly compete. I'm confident you'll be covering it as a true professional youtuber. This is super exciting for all of us also. We're with you all the way. Thanks for investing into this trip. It will be a world class adventure. Whatever you do. Have fun and stay safe.
@@WindsurfingNils thanks mate.. so glad you’re going! It’s a great event but so little videos and insight come from there.. and people are craving for it. Really looking forward to your stuff. Let me know if I can help in anyway.. fingers crossed you get some good conditions 🚀🚀🚀
Whooohoo yeah man ! So stoked to see your videos coming and relive the event from home. I can totally imagine how you must feel excited and nervous at the same time. Hope you get the chance to beat your pb’s . Livestream seems to be challenging but I can’t wait to see thr content coming . Have fun that’s all that matters .
excited and nervous describes the feeling well ;) Let's see if I can make some Livestreams happen while I'm there, I will be looking to buy a SIM card...
Great stuff!! I'll be following closely, I'm not a speed surfer myself, but I do enjoy following it, Luderitz is next level!! Good luck, I'm sure you'll go well!!
Nils, congrats with the slot! I did some homework for you; the fastest shark around is the shortfin mako shark, which can produce speed burst of 40 knots... Since you, as a short fin speedsurfer, are aiming for 50 knots, you'll be safe. Gute Reise!
Fantastic! Hope for some good training winds and super conditions in Namibia for you. Good luck and we’ll be looking forward to the footage of you doing (at least) 54 knots ;-)
Let's see, really hard to predict how fast I can go there, usually most guys take 1-2 years to get fast there and figure out all the equipment choices, hope I can get it right first try ;)
Thanks! It is possible to drive Opel Astra (or similar) with surfboard package inside. Not the most comfortable but good overall value. Yes, desert might be another issue.
Roads in Namibia are basically dirt roads. Be prepared for bad infrastructure when you go there. I don't know if a VW Polo is the best car for going 600 kms through the desert with a heavy load on the roof.
Super Sache!
Awesome, looking forward to the Luderitz video’s😃. I thought Kennings car hire did a deal for Luderitz speed entrants? Or is Kennings only based in Cape Town?
The VW polo is good, I have one and I managed to fit in: - 122lt slalom (225x79) INSIDE BOARD BAG, - 460 mast, - 190-240 boom, - Gunsail gsr 8.2 (230 of length) - tend, 2 sleeping bag and air mattress, - 2 backpacks, - toolbox and bag with windsurfing stuff AND my girlfriend 😂 I packed everything parallel to the car, but if you are alone in the car I think that diagonally you could gain some extra space. How much are the speed board measure in length?
Hey, thanks, I booked a Toyota Corolla Quest now, which was only slightly more expensive and is 50cm longer than a polo, so hopefully everything will fit ;)
That‘s an awesome trip you‘ll be taking, wish you all the best of luck with your equipment, the conditions and your physical prerequisites! Wünsch Dir ordentlich Druck in der Tüte und dann immer draufhalten ;) Writing this from Bonaire, which is my individual windsurf dream of a lifetime.
Wonderful....but PLEASE learn how to pronounce "Windhoek"... despite the "oe" it is not pronounced "u". It always shakes me when my fellow Germans come here and mispronounce names. Just some friendly advice :-)

Awesome ! So glad for you. What an opportunity to sail there !!
I'm looking forward to see your videos !
Cool. I'm excited for you and will follow it all with great interest. Hope you get the 50knots.
Awesome!! 🚀🚀🚀
Thanks Ben, loved you videos from the canal a couple years back!

Really looking forward to seeing Luderitz from your perspective. A dream trip for sure. Enjoy and stay safe 🦈😎
Brilliant, best of luck to you.
Awesome!! Looking forward to the video’s!!
God speed Nils!
safe travels and have a great time. Really looking forward to all the content you can make down there.
Good luck and looking forward to your video's!!!
Maybe you can do some interviews with the guy's and girls there ;-)

Nils i Wish you luck. I met you some years ago in Orth speedsurfing. Hopefully you reach 50 knots.
Congrats for getting the slot. What an adventure. Wish you all the best and good luck.
Get weight plates if you are not the ideal weight for the conditions! Best of luck! Keep us updated
Sehr geil, viel Erfolg und Save Journey
Goodluck man! Hit that 50knots!
Wow! Großartiges Abenteuer! Viel Spaß im Mekka der Speedwindsurfer

okay thanks!, yes really don't want to put it all on the roof with the dirt roads...

Sounds very similar to England...rubbish roads/maintenance.
Shark infested waters gets your heart pounding when gybing. That's how I feel when sailing under the Golden Gate. Big water, big fish
especially on a 60l/45cm wide board the jibes often end up in the water, let's see...
Wish you all the best!!!
Nils..,why not buy a sailing "weight vest"?... lot cheaper imho.🤗
get as much footage and blogs as you possibly can.. this will be awsome
That will be the plan!

mach schwere Kniebeuge und hol dir Kreatin 10g pro tag ;)
muss vorsichtig sein mit zu viel Gewicht bei Kniebeugen, Knieprobleme ;)
Gain weight: Take Creatin, than you have more water in your body as a side effect.

so if it's not pronounced "ö" or "u" what is the correct pronunciation?
