This is a very good thing to keep in mind, one must always be diligent about what one does and whether it has any effect presently. I myself have noticed numerous times that at some point my activities become automatic in the bad sense, and that's about the time when I quit them. Also, hilariously, just yesterday I told an acquaintance about your project for a Virtual Academy, and now you've gone and mentioned it in this video! Can't wait to see what it's like!
One useful think I have found is that although having my 1 hour a day to study Latin is beautiful, there are times in which that cannot happen. When I party or whatever. So it is good to stay in the boat, but we need to be able to get on the boat again if we fall. Rebuilding of habits and flexible habits are skills to build as well uwu 💓. In the darkest times, my only language learning activity was listening to podcast while cooking, not much but that kept the daily consistency. It is easier to rebuild from consistency than from absolute zero.
I tend to stick with one book until I've exhausted it of everything I can learn from it. But as you say, I feel as if I learn the most from a book when it is fresh for me, and I learn the least from a book when I merely feel obliged to finish it. This video has inspired me to rotate between several good language-learning books simultaneously, and in this way, not to get bogged down. Happy new year, professor Arguelles!
Definitely know what you mean, finishing books is such a slog sometimes. I think it's worth learning to know when to quit, cause otherwise it's just too much hassle for too little return sometimes.

This clip helps me right now. When I was little, I enjoyed learning English. I missed my passion. I feel my English and my first language are not that great. So, when I wanted to learn Spanish, that thought blocked me. I felt English should be primary. Well, I have not learned Spanish and lost interest in English. But, I am impressed by you. I can start a baby step. And it will be okay to feel free and have fun learning a third language or many languages at the same time. Thanks.

I learn my best when I’m inspired- especially when practicing listening- because I feel like my entire mind is more embracing of the open ended constructions of Native speech. Nevertheless, daily routine seems to dull my passion to the point where I stop being able to comprehend spoken language at length. Is there a way to build a structure around sudden bursts of inspiration, despite it popping up impromptu? If not, would you still recommend having a systemic routine, even if the activities are quite dry compared to my preference for listening? I already know that success requires doing boring things despite- but I also know there are many ways around a mountain, and perhaps you may know one! Warm regards from Canada! 🍁
Greetings and thanks for the good question. To use an analogy from the many books I have read about how to write a novel - of course you want the Muse to strike you, but she needs to know when and where to find you, so you need to be writing in a certain place at a certain time. If you can, perhaps establish a minimal (15 minute or so) routine AND allow that / use that to prompt your desire to listen more. And/or listen more and hopefully use that to stimulate your desire to better understand what you are listening to, and thus stimulate your studies. Good luck to you!

I am sorry if my english grammar is bad. I can understand everything and even write but it's been a while since I don't touch an english grammar so I can't verify my grammar by myself. (My mother tongue is also portuguese. How lusitan is my english? hahaahaha, just kidding.)
I'm trying to change my study plan template. I want to make sure I can include besides days and time, skills, methods and resources.
