I have a pure bred mane coon cat. I adopted him from a local shelter day at our pet smart. I think is owner passed away because he does not like to be alone and if you fall asleep when it is not time to go to sleep. Someone paid a lot of money for him because he was fixed and declawed. He is 7 years old and such a chill cat. I have done a lot of research and I am positive he is pure bred Maine coon. I paid $10 for him and love him with all me heart. He is so chill and calm as well as very protective just like a Maine Coon.
Shannon you are awesome and there is nothing wrong with being a little crazy. We all are in some way. I wish I could eat Chipotle...they put cilantro in everything and I am allergic to it. 😢 wish they could have the options like Moes! Simon seems to love the new cat tower 😻!!

I must admit that I am a bit shocked that cats are being sold in a regular pet shop. I’ve also heard that dogs also are sold in similar way, closed in like that. Here in Sweden that is not allowed. How different it is from country to country.
Oh, they are not being sold. Here we have rescue groups that save cats from the animal shelters so they are safe until they find a home. The local pet stores let the rescue groups keep the cats there so people can come in and meet them and hopefully adopt them. That is actually how we found and rescued Simon. It's a great program because more kitties get adopted this way.
I got my kittie from a shelter here in Sweden. I payed about 100 dollars for him. Here we pay about the amount the shelter payed for the vet costs. Paying is also a way for them to be sure that not just anyone can get a cat and just get rid of them when bored. We don’t have many stray dogs here but a lot of stray cats. Thanks for letting us hang out with you guys! 😁
Yes, the adoption programs from Pet's Smart are great. BUT, there are still pet stores out there that sell puppies and kittens from puppy and kitten mills.... those are horrid and should NOT be supported. BUT YES FOR PET'S SMART ADOPTION PROGRAM!!!!!

In answer to her question, we keep a lot of the toys for our collection or to use in future videos, we donate a bunch to local charities and we sell some to recoup money spent on purchasing. :-)

The big cat (dazzle I believe) looks just like my kitty Leo, my cat is about 16 pounds. He's a little chubby but most of his weight is from being a big cat (his 12th birthday is at the end of the month)
It's kinda really sad how the kitties are trapped in those lil spare boxes. I couldn't go in this kinda shop i would have to take them all home And the glasse are great. I'm an optician (kinda like optometrist) and they really help to keep the eyes healthy
The kitties actually have a much bigger place to roam. That entire top (I think it was 4 cases big) is open so the cats can travel from box to box. Those cats were just sitting in small little shelf type things which are smaller. That's good to know that the glasses help keep eyes healthy. I wish I had known about them years ago.

Actually, I would bet you could have gotten all of that in a Smart Car.... they have more room in them than you realize! I watched a lady here in Germany pack her entire apartment into her smart car.... granted she didn't have big furniture.... but at least 20 or 30 boxes plus some lamps and stuff.
Yeah it was.... she took things out and put them back in several times.... like a jigsaw puzzle, but she got it all in! That was an entertaining day of watching out the window!!!

So pet shops that have cats or dogs is not considered reputable, and walk out as soon as your feet will carry you. But you do have the one way door in USA, so I completely understand a pet shop is going to be a better option for rehousing. American kitties probably live more then UK kitties as they are predominately outside cats, indoor cats are an oddity here, so roads play a big part in their demise. I couldn’t sleep if our kitties were outside. x
