Not intending to buy it, but as someone who uses an Iwata airbrush for art, and others for craft use, I was just curious. There is no reason at all why you should get a problem spraying normal acrylic (assuming you are educated in airbrush paint consistency). However, in order to make it adhere, you need something for it to key onto. So if you have used a base layer that stays sticky you need to wipe it of the tacky layer and rough it up a bit. It is going to be a lot harder to clean gel out without using harsh chemicals, than it is to clean acrylic paint and I am not sure I want to have uncured gel in the air either... The price of this is rather high, the least they could have done is sent you the right colours!
So far is been great. I actually find it super easy to clean, I just run alcohol though it afterwards. Gel doesn’t air dry so it doesn’t dry up inside. And I have used their base coat before applying the airbrush gel and it adheres great. No problems or roughing up needed. I do wear a mask when I’m doing it. So far I’ve had no problems! 😊

Depending on what the o rings are made of, they may dry out and distort over time if harsh chemicals are used to clean the airbrush - hopefully with one this expensive they will have used quality materials, it tends to be a failing of cheap air brushes.

Hello, your gels look liquid enough to fit in the airbrush. In general it takes a nozzle of 0.3 minutes for the gel to pass perfectly in the nozzle without clogging. For good performance, I advise you to pass the buffer, before spraying the white gel. Apply a thin layer of soft finiton gel. The gel will adhere better to the base. Then make your baby boomer white gel. catalyze. and skip your soft top coat. catalyze again. Excellent day
Hi! Use a matte top coat before airbrushing with the Aer gel Or top coat( if you are not using a non-wipe topcoat wipe the inhibition layer) buff the surface till matte wipe away dust and you are ready for airbrushing ❤️😍

I ordered the Young Nails airbrush mostly bcz I am more familiar with their branding than I am with Aprés. I have to agree that the first impression of your unboxing seems to be on par with how aprés runs their business. I've found that their no wipe top coat isn't compatible with other brands of gel polish. It turns yellow and doesn't play well with others. Upon contacting aprés, I was told they just changed the formula, so I ordered more and I'm still getting yellowing. That said, I imagine their aer gel isn't compatible with other gel polishes which is unsettling to me. I hope you don't continue to have problems and I hope they resolve the missing kit and wrong colors you were sent. Please keep us updated.

Young nails air brush is amazing I love it paint dries super fast u just top coat 2 times n no chipping at all u do have to use the testors brand tough I tried buying a different kind n paint was too watery lol but michaels has testors for wayyy cheaper plus it’s only $150 I’m thinking maybe u can buy the Aprés aer gel n use with the young nails airbrush they both look almost the same

I'm so glad you did this video. Thank you for sharing. I want one of these so bad. The nails look awesome. I have tried the ombre brushes & sponges but nothing looks as great as the airbrushed nail ombres. Have you airbrushed before? Is there a big learning curve?
I would not by this after this review, you didn’t get the colors you ordered or the kit that was to be included. The directions weren’t clear and compatibility seems to be a problem. You should have ordered from young nails. Well with adding my 2 cents you did do a great review.

I just watch a video on the igel airbrush max because I’m thinking of get that one because they are having a 60% site wide sale and they don’t sell the gel pacific for their machine but they give directions to mix 2 parts acetone to 1 part gel polish to work. I wonder if you might try this with your gel polish if it might work? If you try it and it works can you please let me know your results?

You haven't put it back together properly or something is still gummed up. I suggest you watch the Young Nails video as it shows how to strip down the airbrush.
Gorgeous baby boomers! I find it a little annoying that they don't include black and white in the smaller kit. That pretty much forces you to buy the bigger kit.
Also if you whipe the inhibition layer on your polish then go in and buff lightly that will work instead of matte top coat. I find that adds less bulk to the nail. :)
They sell to both and Nail Tech's only get a small discount. But it's probably a good idea to educate yourself on the safety of this product. No where am I seeing a suggestion of wearing a mask from the company. All airbrushing should be used along with a mask. And to think that this is uncured gel floating in the air, able to breath in, I find it's imperative people protect their breathing space.

I've always had issues wirh apres customer service and their lack of resolving issues..

Yes I find it very easy to clean, since it’s gel, it doesn’t dry inside the machine and clog it up.

If the color is uv gel, that should not touch the skin! You can use regular air brush color water based.

It might’ve been clogged up. A regular airbrush will bubble if you close the nozzle. The air is escaping other places basically

It only works with colors specifically made for an airbrush. So you can’t use gel polish colors.
