I was just thinking about how convenient it would be if we had little nano machines to do all of our work for us. Your laundry would be clean and folded in mere seconds with just an action command. In fact, why do laundry when you can just get a clean change of any clothes you wish with said action command? Why do anything except explore your creative side by constructing whatever it is that you imagine? This is the level of technology here, which if they actually had that at that point I doubt they wouldn't have the ability to overcome their own genetic flaw created by their dying star. They had the ability at that point but they trusted the wrong entities.
Lol, gaawd I hate laundry. Well, more succinctly: I hate folding said laundry. But, having some good content (or good music) does help pass the time while doing this neverending chore.
I am here for this! Thank you. Can’t wait for your POV on the lore with your typical depth and breadth. Would love videos on the construction of the imperium, its descent into religion, and the successor chapters of space marines. Orks or the dark aeldar are good choices too.
I was never as into this as i wanted to be- this is a great opportunity to catch up! It's hilarious because i kinda see sci-fi more akin to the history that historians don't have the balls to tell without losing their grants. 🤣 Don't mind me, I've hit my head quite a few times. Love your style Niat! Be well my friends!
I absolutely loved this..I knew nothing about necrons but this helped me understand . I love your content my guy ! Keep it going. Looking forward to space marine content, specifically Blood Angels !
I already knew a lot of this but that was still very entertaining!!! And you definitely had a lot of the best WH-ish pictures I’ve ever seen! AI?!? Either way, I’m definitely going to check out other videos of yours!!!
I’m loving this series. Thank you. Edit. I would very much like to see the creation, growth, and eventual explosion of the warp and forces of Chaos. It seems to superimpose over all of the timeline and would be very interesting.
That the necrons only have one means of interstellar travel at FTL speeds is not true, they do have inertialess drives as well, that are said to be continuously accelerating beyond even light speed towards their destination. It's slower on average, but becomes faster at longer distances basically. Dolman gates are just their fastest method of sending ships around, but they can also teleport smaller objects undisclosed distances in the several light year range in an instant as well. The Warp is not the only sole means of FTL travel in WH 40k, you should rectify this in later series. I think it's more that they think warp travel primitive and not worth the effort than not being able to utilize it, if that was true than ships wouldn't be able to use it either and I'm sure they can make gellar fields if need be.
Hey Niyat, I’d love to see a video of the history and lore of the Perpetuals of Humanity? I know they’re obscure in the grand scheme of the universe’s story. But they’re still interesting and definitely bring a lot of unique characters. And or the custodians/thunder warriors? Since both have very little lore but all somewhat intertwine?
Only watched 20 min so far, but i already know is good work. I love your videos and i am super happy you are covering the 40K universe. I just noticed that you seems to pronounce the name C'tan slightly different from the way i usually hear it. More like S'tan than C'tan 🤔
I always thought it common knowledge that the C'tan feeding in the star of the Nexrontyr caused the radiation damage to the race, must've merged some head cannon with fluid cannon.
While this is a decent overview of the background, lore implies a much more complicated scenario behind the war in heaven. The first stage might actually had multiple phases, as we know that eldat and pre conversion necrons collaborated to imprision demons. The three chaos gods birth has mostly been retconned, having stemmed from world in heaven and not middling early humanity. Also due to warp fuckery slaneesh demons manifested already in the war in heaven, and it's demon too when the birth of her was closing. Personally i think that the necrons controlled territory were kicked to a few planets before the conversion, but population and local nobility must have been captured/liberated, otherwise the overwhelming numbers of converted necrons don't make sense. They might have been reconverted as the necrons reconquered world after world, each conquest boosting their numbers.

I'm so glad you have decided to do this as a series, like many I am part of the newest resurgence of fans. Sadly it seems we stepped in right about the time GW started to throw a bitch-fit. Plus I be a broke bitch so this is helping quite a lot with getting into the lore, a lot easier then trying to scour over 2k books aimlessly like a blind version Lorgar with a stiffy in the religious book section of the library.
Where do all these visual clips come from? As someone who really only listens to lore videos and some audiobooks my best guess is video games? They look awesome though - how did I miss any of them let alone all?
I don't think that the Necrontier were deceived exactly, the C'tan gave them everything that they wanted technically and the cost wasn't disclosed because they received benefits from it. Maybe they didnt have to sacrifice their souls in the process but they do essentially have unlimited time to reverse it, not for all but for many who still have intact consciousness after all this time.
I honestly believe that a few things would of happened if the Old Ones helped the Necrontyr. 1. Galactic golden age of technological advancement. 2. The Eldari and Orks would of never been created, as they were only created to counter the Necron threat. Due to the War in Heaven, which most likely wouldn't of happened if the Necrontyr was helped by the Old Ones. 3. Slaneesh would of never been birthed, because the Eldari wouldn't of been created. 4. The Necrontyr wouldn't fallen for the C'Tan lies, which would mean a still carbon based Necrontyr species and not the mechanical Necrons. 5. No C'tan shards to be found throughout the Galaxy. 6. Most likely no Tyrannids created, which would mean no Tyrannic Wars in the Galaxy. Saying this as I believe the Old Ones left our galaxy to create the Tyrannids, to enact retribution against the Necrons and C'Tan.
Great video can you do Greek and New Gods,Darkseid,Superboy Prime,Eclipso,Mr Mxyzptlk,Perpetua,Amazo,Brainiac,Phantom Zone,Source Wall,Alcatraz,Sciencell,Belle Reeve and Stryker's Island from DC,Citra and Liza from Far cry 3
I'm very happy you're doing warhammer 40k lore, man. It is one of the best sci-fi stories, period.
these longer vids are really making my year. I remember the 10 min alien comic narration days! its been awesome to see you grow.
Glad you are enjoying them James!
Same, it is how i found this channel

Warhammer lore! And a timeline, I swear there's so much stuff man, you could spend a month's worth of videos and you still won't put a dent in it.
One of my favorite lore topics by one of my favorite content creators
Toe sucker 🦶
Best part is silent king leaving the galaxy saying oh shit to what he finds there and rushing back to unify the neceons to face it.
Ah my favorite spooky scary Egyptian skeleton boys. I’ll pop some popcorn for this.

Alright, alright.. I don't know much about war hammer but I'll give it a go.
Its 40k. Warhammer COULD be a prerequisite but not necessary.
One hour of warhammer lore hell yeah
I’ve never played the game.. this is one of the best ongoing lore stories I’ve luckily come across. So intriguing!
Great video, great editing, great narration. You are my favorite lore channel

The Little Platoon released a 4.5 hour breakdown of Rebel Moon. lol. That movie can get worse.

I don't know anything about 40K, but this lore is quite fascinating.
1hr long lore videos are mandatory for Warhammer.

I am excited to see Henry Cavill contribute in this lore...I expect no Kryptonians, though.

Right off the bat, the most unlucky organic alien race.
