Liverpool spent that on Szobozslai when he was available. Went in for Diaz and Gakpo when they were available despite not needing them at the time, signed Van Dijk for 75m in January. The fsg out crew make no sense sometimes.

FSG may be cheap, but are pragmatic when it comes to securing players for the team, as in they try to bring in players that are essential for the team to go a step higher at that particular time and in the future. Look at how Arsenal have spent money on other team's has-beens, and tried to rejuvenate them... sure it will pay dividends in the short-time, but in the long-term it was bad business to put players like Havertz, Jesus, Calafiori, Trossard on bloated pay wages as it is now evident that they need upgrading in those positions. The uncertainities surrounding Salah's contract, and thus the possibility of him leaving in the summer could be an insurance buy, in the sense that the team will need a dynamic winger to try and replicate that lost output. It could be a ploy to influence Salah to also sign his contract, especially if he isn't getting an offer that Liverpool is putting on the table.
It is clear that LFC would benefit from signing Kerkez and another, quality midfielder to share the load with Gravenbirch. However, Nunez, Chiesa and Doak are all potential departures in the summer, as Doak is unproven, Chiesa can't stay fit sadly and Nunez isn't of the standard expected. If all 3 of them leave, there would be more than enough room in the squad for a player as promising as Kvaratshkelia.

There is no chance of us ever signing him. We need a LB, CB, and a DM, so he isn’t a priority. Salah needs to be rotated. Fatigue could lead to injury from over playing him .
Chiesa is injury prone and hasn't played much if at all.

There is no chance of us ever signing him. We need a LB, CB, and a DM, so he isn’t a priority. However, if we do go for him we could have potentially 3 left wingers and we certainly then wouldn’t be able to afford a LB or the other 2 positions I mentioned. Where would we play Gakpo? Left back? cause he certainly wouldn’t play left wing if Kvaratskhella comes in and Diaz would be playing up top, and he’s too good to be a bench player.
