Filipinos and Hispanic Americans aren't cousins. We're brothers. They just stopped speaking Spanish widely after WW2 because Japan killed most of the native Spanish speakers and then the US just imposed English after that. But speaking Spanish doesn't make us different since our cultures are basically the same: we both have Spanish roots mixed with native roots.
@Bashful- chan we actually had our native languages widely spoken until 1821 (because Spanish policy was about bilingüismo, that's why Philippines, Mariana Islands, Equatorial Guinea, Western Sahara and Rif still speak their native languages alongside Castilian). After Hispanic American independence, the Criollos relegated natives out of government, representation and started banning native languages in favour of Castilian (because Spanish was spoken natively only by 10% to 20% of the population of every Hispanic American country). It took 100 years (from 1821 to 1921) to delete the native languages and homogenise the population to speak solely Spanish. So the fault is not Spain's but our own governments. The Real Academia Española stated clearly that with the ASALE, quoting: "Without the independent governments of every Hispanic country, Spanish wouldn't be a wide language as it is today).
@Bashful- chan And also, if we all spoke every native language without Castilian, Mexico wouldn't have become a unified country and would have split in several other countries following those linguistic differences. The north, being majority euro descent, would speak Castilian and some native languages while the south would be severely cracked. Yucatan would basically split without any problems and Mexican center would have to force a language over the rest.

I love how they weren’t trying to shade on each other like the candy swap one
Mexico and Philippines were doing ship trades back in the day like foods and stuff, that’s why we have similar cultures. And btw we also have the holiday of “undas” (all souls day) was actually inspired by “dia de muertos” which we got from our mexican friends traders back in the day 🤗
Lol what? The reason yall even know yall existed was because of spain.
Most of the people don't even know that philipines was the longest spanish colonized country, so wth are you talking about? Were known for our islands, singers, cultures, religion, hospitality and exported fruits around the world.
@@ultravolt4555 thats some idiot Hispanic education right there LMAO. Not surprised about the Columbusing as Christopher Columbus himself was sponsored by Spaniards 🤦♀️ no we were a thing and showed up on ancient Chinese and Japanese scrolls before Magellan "discovered" anything. He even got killed by local tribes.
@@alyssapebenito1154 nope. Try Equatorial Guinea

The only thing that Mexicans and Filipinos would ever have conflict at is "ricecake", if you know what I mean.

“This taught me how to catfish people” OMG!!! HAHAHAHAHA
First time seeing someone shout out Bakersfield and proud
No shade, but I’ve always heard from numerous family that Bakersfield is one of the last places anyone would visit in California. Is there truth to that or any reason why?
Jonathan Perez i’m from cali. and i’ve never been to bakersfield 😭
I live In bakers
First person I met from Bakersfield was pretty racist to me and even though I know its unlikely that they aren't like that or I hope they aren't it left a strong impression on me.
Honestly saaaaaaaaame
Bre: “‘This is me on Instagram with my contour and lip gloss and this is me in real life with my real number of chins.”
💀💀💀🤣🤣🤣🤣 I can’t. Bre is too much. She def needs to be in more videos!!
I laughed out loud at that!
She was always saying something funny, loved her
Yea I'd prefer her to be at the forefront, she's the cutest!

"Polvoron" was derived from the Spanish word "polvo" meaning powder that is why its powdery when it crumbles hence the name polvoron hehehe...
It's also based on their Spanish counterparts. The traditional Spanish Polvoron is made with almonds. The texture is a tad drier, but the whole concept is still the same.
@Davi 28 its pulbo but still sminilar tho.
I love the Philippines, very friendly people with great cuisine
Are you Cubano? I have a best friend from Havana. He's so kind and fun 🙂
Y'all need to do more of these videos
I love Cheska's glasses. And also her, she is so cute!!
Bre and Cheska made me laugh ode 😂😂😂 I loved their commentaries so much
i have never been this excited to watch a video
Dude is cute...Maya get it girl...and the big girl is hood, I like her, she reminds me of home...
The girl in the glasses and the Mexican girl she was with look like they’d be good friends 🥺
Im Mexican and I can’t wait to go visit the Filipino islands, this place called el Nido is always in my mind.
El Nido, Palawan is a really popular tourist destination here in the PH. Hoping for your safe trip.
Ohhhh I’m enjoying this chemistry!!! They get along well
The snack from Cebu she's talking about is called Masareal. It literally taste like Mazapan 😂❤
We need more of BRE!
Was MAYA flirrrting?????… and BRE love the sound effects when describing food textures. 🤣🤣🤣
We latinos & asians do be living the same life if you were bieng honest, we have so much similaritys
(Not just Filipinos all asians)
Hmmm you can't say ALL ASIANS bec asia is a big continent it's divided into 6 regions: South Asia, East asia, Southeast Asia, West Asia, Central Asia, and North Asia. Each region have their own culture and different standard of living. Even the people of each region have different features. They are all different, specially eastasians (chinese, Japanese, koreans) they are way different from y'all latinos.
I’m glad I saw this video because I eat snacks of both countries...being half Filipino and living in predominantly Mexican town 😋
Hope to see Tony more here in the future. He's such a hottie.
And Bre, she's hilarious! Chezca was cute too!
Bre is hilarious 🤣 I hope to see more of you chica!
I'm Hispanic/Philip mix with a little of Mexican on Me and I try some everything in both....
The Mexicans: This video will be sweeter.
also them:
*add chile en polvo to EVERYTHING*
I'm a filipino mexican american and I looooooved watching them eat all the snacks I loved growing up!!
Lol Bree made me laugh with the payaso catfish.
Being Filipino and raised in Bakersfield.
Huge Latin population. Basically raised Latino!
I’m Filipino and one time I gave my friend one of my polvoron and I turned away to talk to my other friend but I forgot to mention to NOT eat the entire thing in one bite... Chunks of it were still in his mouth even after lunch break😂😂
I live in Hawaii right now and as a Mexican-Cuban getting to know so many sweet Philippinas and Philippinos this was so cute😍 literally my kikis with my🇵🇭 people!

Don’t snort it! *snorts it* *coughs* dId YoU sNoRt It???
That trick always works for me.telling someone not to do it to get them do it.😂
Mexico 🇲🇽 and Philippines have a connection historically for 250 years both Filipino and Mexican natives and meztizos where sent to Manila and Filipinos to alcapulco we exchanged food influencing from one another
Remember the mania galeon
I really liked Bre's personality. Like bruuuh i would like a friend like her
That final review with Maya and the guy out of context could sound like a very cheesy pick up line exchange LOL. But also, every time he and Maya looked at each other there was a lil sumthin sumthin
Okay I LOVED EVERYONE IN THIS VIDEO SO OPEN AND FUN! 💗 But we need more fusion food exchanges PLEASEEEEEE 🙏😭 🇲🇽 🇵🇭 need more rep since we're so culturally similar due to "COLONIZERS!" 🤣
This video sums up why so many Filipinos and Mexicans have diabetes!!!
¡Hola! Soy filipino y hablo español. A mí me encanta México, me gustaría viajar y vivir ahí. Desde que me puse a aprender español, hice muchos amigos mexicanos, los he estado tratando como mis hermanos propios. Son muy agradables conmigo. Les mando unos abrazos y saludos virtuales a nuestros hermanos mexicanos.
Hola. Donde aprendiste español?
You know what I really like about this even more than the snacks😊is the Friendship that radiates from the Likenesses and Similarities the way if should in the world😇inter connectedness that comes from our youth 😃
