I got two Saabs 9-5’s one I had to fix but it was easy and they both been great cars since. I got a project 1999 Saab 9-3 convertible I hope to get going this coming summer.
Looks like the car that was built for me in 2006. Still runs today even though I don't own it anymore. I owned it for 12 years, put 191,000 on it with virtually no problems, and sold it to a college student who still drives it today now with 225,000 miles on it. They are very good cars well built. GM worked on the quality of them in 2005 with a six sigma review of warranty data and fixed all the electrical problems by 2006. This is amazing to see, thanks for sharing.
@@ME-kp5iz GM = cars designed by accountants. SAAB was all against that model of business, so GM killed the brand. I drive 9-5 Aero in Merlot Red, and I love it to the bits! Love it so much, that I would not even remotely think about selling it!
Lovely cars. Such a loss when Saab disappeared... 😢 I'm hanging on to my 1999 95 thats for sure. We're off to look for another in the UK before the end of the year for my son as soon as he has his licence... Just wish I had inherited my dads 1990 red 900 aero turbo 😍
Well, not quite. Its now NEVS (national electric vehicle sweden) thanks to brand ownerships, but its the original crew, and trollhattan, so can fully expect the same design quirks of those swedes. Also not producing fuel driven cars but electric (clue by the name), and in 2018 they should be exporting the first units to china which have already been ordered in some notable numbers, and only China. Might start seeing them in Europe, the US and the rest of the world a few years after that. Hoping my current Saab lasts till then.
Spike20101000 not entirely the original crew some left to Volvo after they went bankrupt that's why some quirky stuff about Volvo is now in their cars they are Swedish too but not a Saab
just got rid of a 2005 9-3 Linear.. GREAT car. My son's first car. He was spoiled right off the bat. Crashed the car to death a couple weeks ago. He didn't get a scratch..
They were bought by chinese firm. They have started production again of the 9-3 and it is fully electric. Only being sold in China at present. I own a 9-3 and I love it. 10/10 whereas the 2 Golf’s mk5 I own are always with problems. Fuel consumption shit too. My SAAB 9-3 1.9 TID fuel consumption is awesome. Gives 50 mpg instead of Golf 1.9 tdi which gives 30mpg. Everything about saab is top dollar. Comfort , safety , design , the lot.
I love my Saab and I was thinking of getting a Volvo when time decides that my Saab can't drive a mile anymore, found out months ago that China got its hands on Volvo😵😩😢 I checked consumer reports and Volvo is not doing well😔 problema with the infotainment systems and one or 2 things more, it really turn me off on getting a volvo, unless I get an older model before China took over, it will be a shame if Volvo goes down like Saab did😭
Volvo is long time in chinese hands but they are doing fine. All new cars have some problems because they are much more complicated than 20-30 years ago. Volvo is still designed and produced in Sweden. New Volvo S60 will be only produced in the new U.S. factory opened last year.
Interesting video They were all vector and linears Not an aero in sight. Great cars. I have 2 aero cnvertibles And unfortunately in the dismatlers where I work I see one a week scrapped... Still.. I do get free access to parts Yay me.
Is your car a 9.3 or 9.5? Like your wheels, what make and size are they? Trying to determine if would fit my 2007 Aero Convertible and are you satisfied long term with your brew-city tune?

Saab was never popular so there is no hurry. In fact fast production would only result in workers having too much free time. They could fire some workers but i think it's better to work slower and better if there is no hurry.
One of the nicest production cars ever. Still have my 03 SS and still dream that they will come back.

I have a SAAB 93. I wish I could tell them to put better buttons on the radio and climate control.
Very interesting to see
@1aikane , there is an easy DIY spare kit available to change the worn buttons
There is a very tiny chance one of those red Saabs is the one i own.

confy sandals because on that section there was no danger to hurt them, look at different sections and you will see work shoes
if they only made them more rustproof
