How to load the latest Dynamo Core into Revit

NOTE: DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU EXPECT TO USE DYNAMO IN A PRODUCTION ENVIRONMENT. DYNAMO PLAYER PROBABLY WON'T WORK. GENERATIVE DESIGN PROBABLY WON'T WORK. AND WHO KNOWS WHAT ELSE.

Unfortunately I don't have The program Data file in my computer

It is a hidden folder by default, so you have to go into file explorer options and click "Show Hidden Folders"

Same here, dynamo player doesnt work, it's not a big deal as I've never used but what I really find weird is that I cant set the cpython3 engine in the python script node for 2.13 core version

I found that with 2.13 I needed to also copy DSIronPython.dll to the new Dynamo directory from the old one.

I imagine there is no fix for dynamo player. this method is for testing the new version of the full dynamo UI only.

Can it be used in Revit 2022.1 which upgrades the Dynamo version from 2.12 to 2.13?

It should be doable. I have been meaning to test in a newer version, but have not had a chance.
The biggest obstacle is if they change the ASM version. (Autodesk Shape Manager) which is the geometry kernel.

Can you still run a script in Dynamo without Dynamo Player after attempting this?

Dynamo still works with this method. But Dynamo player does not. Once again, you don't want to do this for anything production wise. I did this to test new functionality directly in revit

Works in Revit 2021 but does not load the Generative Design add in

In the video above I used the daily build that was current at that time. It _should_ work with most dailies, but your mileage may vary.

yep. it does not work. this came up a few times. the changes were too much between the versions
