Shawn’s music has always been meant for all audiences though. He has never been “teen-pop”, his style has always been stripped back, acoustic, focusing on his musicianship. He was just a teen then. Now he’s 20, his voice is deeper in the new album and he’s experimented with different genres. But he’s written many brilliant songs in his early years as a songwriter: Act Like You Love Me, Never Be Alone etc. Yes, his new album is his best, but it’s not like he was ever “pretty-boy teen-pop” and I find that quite degrading of him and his early work which is also very good and deserves appreciation. But other than that, nice video.

But he never denied it and said it helps him cope with his anxiety. He is 20 I’m pretty sure he is conscious of how he should use it
