I’m surprised they found him guilty of 1st Degree (premeditated) murder. (?). As big of an abusive SOB as he was, you’d think the conviction would have been 2nd Degree murder. His lawyer could have argued it was a spontaneous anger kind of thing, with diminished capacity for being drunk. The difference might have been life in prison instead of death. Just as well, maybe his lawyer thought he was a bastard as well…?

There may have been other evidence later found that pointed to pre- meditation? Maybe the aggravating factors that he was abusing her their entire marriage mattered…it should have. These are based on true stories. I try to find them and sometimes have luck. There is a lot they leave out in a 30 minute episode. The absolute worse one I found was the Sullivan kidnapping which is about the real life case of Marion Parker. It’s horrific. I’ve found others but can’t recall which ones now!

Imagine living your whole live with an abusive husband and father, kids leave as they get older and you end up getting murdered by the monster you married. How awful! His pathetic excuses at the end … EVERYTHING WAS HIS OWN FAULT, as Joe so wisely told him. I’m glad he got the DP! Well- deserved.

I remember they made a Chesterfield 101 in the 1970’s ? 101 Millimeters. A silly millimeter longer ....the longest of all cigarettes. Yes they did 😎

I think it was the mid-1960s (I remember the jingle). But I think all tv and radio cigarette commercials were banned sometime in the late 1960s.

I remember the jingle as well, didn't recall that they were Chesterfields, though. Dad huffed Parliament, then TRUE with the deltoid plastic bit behind the filter, died of lung cancer at 60.
