idc what anyone says but ruby carried the entirety of season 3. watching both her and adam develop as characters were pretty easily some of the most satisfying moments in the entire series.
Absolutely, her character is so complex and multilayered. Mean on the outside but really sensitive and fragile on the inside. A Queen at school but struggling with her father’s sickness at home. Demanding in friendship but fully giving in her love for Otis…just incredible character. She should’ve been the endgame from the begging of the show. Maeve should’ve been the best friend not the potential love interest. Mimi Keene brings so much on every scene she owns the show every time she shows up. Honestly we should have 2 more seasons to fully develop her personal story and her relationship with Otis. If the writers end the series next season; without taping in all this potential, it would be such a waste…they could also bring Anwar and Olivia to the forefront too…

Ruby kept chasing Otis after the “Day after pill” incident of season 2. She could’ve pick ANY GUY but she kept going for him. I think that whole affair left an impression on her and she started falling for him…
Given the ring and then rings she wore on her 'wedding ring' finger, it's implied Ruby's been into Otis for quite some time. She wore the single ring sometime after Maeve was kicked out of school in SE 1.08. And she wears the double rings sometime after SE 2.07 and has them on during the SE 3.01 Olivia party flashback.
Ruby had the best, if not, the only real character arc and development in this entire show. She is literally the only one I could end up liking at the end of the show (season 3) and everyone else went to just the "i don't care" level. But to be honest, i know Otis and Maeve are the main focus of the show and their relationship. But i would just simply rather see Otis and Ruby getting toghether.

Ruby has changed so much, showed herself from completely other side. At the beginning i wanted Meave to be with Otis, but at the end i kinda wish Ruby landed with Otis.
Let me explain, Ruby and Otis's relationship wouldn't last long, there was 100% going to be a problem, Otis was not happy at all, understand, they were doing nothing but having sex and making Ruby dress Otis weird. They would break up in the future based on Ruby's ego or something else. That's right, The best Maeve was in season 1, but suddenly, you like the relationship between Ruby and Otis more because the short-term relationships attract your attention. I think the scriptwriters have handled the saying "Lovers will always be reunited" very well in terms of love. Don't like momentary things.
i loved this relationship but theres just something about that phone call at the end of season 2 and the way you realise why he cant bring himself to say i love you to ruby because "it's been always Maeve"
