So many people don’t seem to realize that Stolas is talking about turning himself in at the beginning of the song and I don’t get it. It doesn’t matter who plotted his assassination, this trial is about illegal use of the grimoire, and that illegal use definitely happened. Someone had to go down for it.
I am curious if he could have claimed that such a thing never occurred - and that Blitz solely always used the crystal to travel. Then again, they could probably easily detect or determine if the grimoire was indeed used to breach earth.
@@ThisDudeMoe The thing about the grimoire though is that it's SUPPOSED to be used to go to Earth. Stolas is supposed to use it to observe the stars and find prophecies according to what Paimon told him as a kid. So he could be claiming to use it during the times that IMP had it. I don't get why he doesn't use that excuse and that Blitz and his crew were using the crystal even though I hope that Ozzie wouldn't out them and say that they just recently got the crystal.
It makes it worse because Stolas already knows that Stella was behind the assassination. If anyone in the court had common sense, they would question why Stolas would plot his own death when he could have easily accused his wife. I feel like the assassination plot should have been put off for later, because bringing it up makes Stolas's "mastermind" plan fall apart
The 2 headed girl is Leviathan, the sin of envy. The pink girl is Belphegor, the sin of sloth. Also the crystal wasn't banned, it's legal under Ozzie's jurisdiction, so they can still keep using it.
Yeah, everything that I.M.P. did with Ozzie's crystal is completely legal, but everything they did prior to it, the things they did with Stolas' grimmoire, those were completely illegal. That's why they were sent to trail, for "stealing" Stolas' grimmoire and use it for illegal purposes. Andrealphus then added more accusations, like Blitz "forcing" himself onto Stolas and then sending a hitman to kill him so Satan would have any other chance but to execute him and force Stolas to come and take all the blame.
I'll just add: the main topic was the book. Not that IMP did business in mortal realm. The company is illegal because of the tool they used for the job. That's what matters because it was used illegally regardless what anyone says and someone was to pay he price for it. There is no way around it.
I love how much Brandon Rogers has worked on his singing over the past several years. He's occasionally included songs in his regular youtube videos, and each time his singing gets better. I just love how hard he's worked for this role
Dang that is freaking rad! I feel like you can hear his progression in the show as well. He really brings that character to freaking life! I really need to go check out some more of his singing now.
I know, right? He really stepped up for this!! I've seen him onstage in Brooklyn, (two years ago I think, doing Bryce Tankhurst? Possibly?) and you can really see/well, hear 😁 from then to now that he's been putting in the work.
The two characters you asked about, havent appeared before but they have been referenced, they are the last remaning Sins, Belphegor (Sloth) and Leviathan (Envy). Also to note, when Satan says "I ruled the endless dark since long before the golden angels fall", he is lying, Vivzepop already confirmed that, she said the reason you see Ozzy and Bee roll their eyes is because they know he's full of Crap. Lucifer was the first, but Satan is doing as he pleases since Lucifer hasn't been back in a while.
Andrealphus' plan is actually genius. At first I thought why he wouldn't just go after Stolas, since he's the big fish afterall. He has nothing to gain from an Imp. But then it hit me. Notice how when Stolas intervened in the execution, Andrealphus was smilling? He wasn't shocked or suprised like anyone else. He was smilling. This tells me that he expected this, which implies that this was all part of his plan. If Stolas was trailed, he would have an actual voice in court since he is royalty. Andrealphus would find it hard to get him in trouble. Its not like they are going to bring Striker in to say he tried to assassinate Stolas since Stolas is the one in trial. The entire thing will become a he said she said. Unless Andrealphus can find people willing to say Blitz was doing illegal shit thanks to Stolas, like witnesses or what not, he can't really have that case in the bag. Its not like he knows of Verosika or Fizz, and even than neither would testify against Blitz. But maybe Andrealphus saw that going after Stolas directly would not have given Andrealphus favourable odds. There were just too many variables. On the other hand, no one was gonna take what an Imp had to say seriously. Andrealphus could push any accusation on Blitz and the others and no one would say anything. All except... Stolas. He knew, well everyone knew, that Stolas and Blitz have a thing. So since he smilled, he probably expected Stolas to come. And you see, that's the beauty of it. Stolas can't go after Andrealphus in court now because all this time Andrealphus has been "defending" Stolas, saying that Stolas was used by the Imp. Coupled with the fact that Blitz practically screwed himself by saying he could have killed Stolas himself, Stolas was now in a lose lose situation. 1] Blitz gets executed. 2] He tries to go after Andrealphus but since the ice king has been defending Stolas the whole time, and Blitz has lost any of the little say he had, the court [Satan] was never gonna side with Stolas. 3] Stolas takes the fall. Even though he won't die [which is not what Andrealphus wanted anyway], Stolas would still be punished and Andrealphus will be there to take advantage. Its genuinely a well thought out plan. I'm actually impressed.
So true. Also, if you really think about it, he got so damn lucky that Stella mentioned it when she did. The plan was genious none the less, but he got lucky that Octavia wasn't of age yet because everything would just pass to her, not him. I'm glad there's at least someone with a brain in that family, lol
That's assuming Stolas even knew what Andre was doing. I mean, he literally just saw Blitzø about to be executed. Probably wasn't sure exactly what shit had been brought to the table other than the obvious crime of the grimoire, so he lumped it all up as his own "master plan" and took the blame. That's how I see it anyway
Exactly, this trial went EXACTLY as he planned for it to. But even if it didn't, even if something went arwy and Blitzø just got executed it would have deeply wounded Stolas and he could have still used that blow to cook up another scheme to finish him off. I also highly suspect Andre gets off - like ACTUALLY gets off - on punishing lesser demons. He would have enjoyed Blitzø getting the axe no matter what. He wins in every scenario.
You guys are literally the first ones I’ve seen who are talking about how Stolas was sitting on the couch just chilling and then had less than a minute to rush to the court and come up with something to save Blitz. It’s only logical he put the blame upon himself, he had no time to think of the defense line, and even if he’d blame his wife, he had no evidence. And you don’t really need any evidence to blame yourself. So in this situation and in this circumstances Stolas did the only thing he could to save Blitz. Also, he had no time to think about how Via (his daughter) would feel about all this and what would happen to her afterwards, there was NO time to think, you either go and save your loved one without thinking, or your loved one is dying. Period. And I’m so annoyed how so many people can’t understand such an obvious things, whining about how “st*pid” it is that Stolas didn’t put a blame on his wife or how “bad” of a dad he is. Or about how “it doesn’t make any sense”. Ugh. Sometimes people just refuse to think. Well of course, whining and criticizing is so much easier
Not to mention what the trial is even about. It’s about Blitz illegally using the Grimoire. Stolas is the one that allowed Blitz to use it, it’s only fair for him to take the blame that’s rightly deserved. The assassination was just to stoke the fires, but it was never the point of the trial.
The two headed demon which was name called Levi by Mammon is LEVIATHAN - the ruler of the ring of ENVY. The sleepy one next to Bee is Belphegor - the ruler of the Ring of SLOTH
Lucifer is the original and rightful ruler of Hell. Hell was created after Lucifer gifted free will to humans and then he was casted there as punishment. All the other Sins were created because of him and the rest of hellborn kind came from them, being why the Sins rule over the hellborn demons, while Lucifer rules over sinners. However, because Lucifer abandoned his post due to his depression, Satan took over the affairs of Hell, imposing demon law and the hierarchy with iron fist. To better secure his position, he spread the lie that he is Hell's original ruler, so that the lesser demons can acknowledge him as king. However, it's clear that the other Sins know the truth, with at least Ozzie and Bee much prefering Lucifer in charge than Satan.
Funnily enough, the way that Charlie talk about this part in the first official episode, with "This single act of disobedience, allowed Evil, to finally found its way into Earth" makes it definitively sound like that dark realm that became Hell already existed by this point. Which would seem to lead credence to what Satan was saying. I think the lying part might be more into him "ruling" since before Lucifer's fall. It's very much possible that Lucifer when he fell, was the one that organized Hell and brought/forced its first rules, and that Hell before that was a lot more pure chaos and evil, de facto, not really having a "Ruler", as it were. Fun things to think about!
@Za11oy Charlie also says, hell is a "new realm," implying it did not exist before. Also, the way Charlie talks about Good and Evil are more like acting concepts with power rather than ideas or people/places, the Evil (and Good) have always existed, but Lucifer's act gave it power over Earth and created a new realm.
You die normally in hell. Those are all hellborn entities.. and fallen angels, whatever.. so hellborn can just.. die. Only sinners respawn again after "dying" unless they are hit by angelic weapons. Then they DIE die as well. People seem to forget that hell is just another realm to live in. You are either born here.. or brought here.
Yeah, and another thing to note is Viv has confirmed that Satan was just making that up which is why Ozzie and Bee rolled their eyes when he said that.
This may very well be my favorite episode thus far, also those 2 girls you needed to figure out who they are, were Leviathan and Belphagor (The last 2 of the sins we haven't seen) and the people you were reminded of when seeing leviathan (the 2 headed one) is the 2 girls Glitz and Glam from Fizzes episode with mammon they were the ones who sang Klown B*tch
17:55 - the best way to freestyle is when it comes from the heart... It was crazy. Now I'm looking forward to the next episode (which is this season's finale around christmas...) for some Blitz-Loona-Stolas family time...
i dont think the others paid much mind to IMP. But then demons do go do work legally on the surface so everyone likely assumed they fell into that category. Blitz should be able to keep working, he has an Asmodean crystals now, which means he can legally return to the surface under Ozzys name. Oh! and random thing i didnt see in the comments yet, the news article on blitz's phone states hes the first hellborn ever to escape with his life after being sentenced by one of the sins. So hes literally a legend for not just imps but all hellborn demons.
Im glad we got what we did, by far the best episode. An emotional rollercoaster for sure. But we did miss out on a alternate scene of Stolas saving Blitz. With the executioner using a guillotine instead of an axe. Stolas catches the blade as it falls down with his hand, causing it to bleed.
“How do you die in hell” well, the demons in helluva boss are all hellborne demons meaning they can die through normal means, like being stabbed or shot. Ars Goetia or royal demons are an exception to this, they are hellborne but require angelic steel/weapons to kill them. (Im quite certain regular weapons cant actually harm them at all) Sinner (from the pride ring, and the main cast of hazbin hotel) can only die from angelic steel/weapons aswell, (well they can die from normal means but they ressurect/remanifest, IF angelic steel is NOT used).
It doesn't seem like going to the mortal realm itself is illegal. Ozzie and his demons can do it freely with those crystals. It seems like using the grimore specifically is the problem. Only thing I can think of is that the crystals have an inherit ability to let you pass to the mortal realm while the grimore needs to use a spell. I think the upper class of demons don't want the lower class to learn powerful spells to keep them under control. After all, what else could I.M.P. have learned while in possession of the book.
It's not that. It's just that going to the mortal realm is regulated and requires specific procedures. You can't just take a spellbook from a prince and go whenever you please. Think of it like needing a legally recognized visa to travel 😁
it is still kinda illegal, ozzie's demons have the permission to go to earth to do their job (seduce), they are higher beings than imps and hounds, blitz's crew not only went there without a disguise, exposed the existence of demons but also killed humans. Heck, blitz might be a cause (not a total one) to the overpopulation of the pride ring. many sinners are dying before their time
@KBRoller that's what I said in the first part. The second part is just speculation. Viz seems to be gearing up for a civil war with the imps, so this is just a part of the fan theory in my head. Could be wrong.
i never questioned why i love watching you guys watch this series, but while talking to my husband, i realized something so important to me. you guys are SO NORMAL about gay relationships and trans characters. this entire show is filled with them and y'all haven't batted an eye. never questioned it. never surprised by it. you treat each one as their own relationship and person, regardless of who is involved. and it's so refreshing to see thank you guys for being so amazing. not only are you guys funny as all hell, take everything seriously when it needs to be, and actually get into the characters, but you also seem to be genuinely good people who don't give a shit what kind of background or identity someone has keep doing what you're doing. this nonbinary bisexual thanks you 💖💖💖
To the question “how do you die in hell” there are multiple answers. If you’re a sinner or demon royalty like stolas, you have to be killed with an angelic weapon. Imps, hellhounds, and the like, on the other hand, don’t require angelic weapons; they can be killed in any normal fashion. And as far as we know, dying in hell or heaven means your soul ceases to exist, similar to what atheists believe happens when you die.
I can say that the episode was a nicely executed story within this part of the closing of season 2 of this year. As I am going to be curious on what might happen next. Also the rulers of Wrath, Envy and Sloth looking so amazing 😄 Also it seems interesting in that desk drew when Loona trying to burn it before grabbing the photo. You can see a Spring Broken reference with the “Parking Spot” note that Blitz made about payment with a horse drawing on it. Before that moment if you think about the game Loona playing on the computer is a nice reference of “Dogs playing Poker” painting but in hellaverse fashion. With that say, Vassago is voiced by Harvey Guillen. As he is known for doing Perrito from Puss in Boots: The Last Wish
If you know Demonology, you will notice ALL the 72 Ars Goetia, minus Lucifer are in the Courtroom. If Blitz and Stolas don't rekindle after this, I swear to God, I will lose my shyt. Also, I am worried for Octavia and her safety.
its funny that while in the song satan implys that he is the real person in charge of hell, but just before the song he says "what in Lucifer's hell is this".
2 biggest expressions of love, Blitz sacrificing himself to spare his found family, Moxxie, Millie, and Loona. He fully committed. And then Stolas coming in and willingly sacrificing himself for Blitz. If you pause as he last looks at Blitz, before his sentencing and Blitz is dragged away, his pupils turn to hearts. Beautiful. Also huge they referenced Lucifer!!! It sucks he couldnt be crossed over yet, Viv has said she is planning to do it. I in universe theorize he couldnt go to the trial because he only just left his solitude to be with his daughter and still needs to grow before taking back his position as king of Hell. He will so beat Satan's ass though! The trial was being done by the 7 Deadly Sins, so the 2 new people are the ones we havent met yet. Sloth sin Belphegor sitting next to Bee, and Envy sin Leviathan the 2 headed demon sitting next to Mammon.
Bee and oz wanted too tell Satan off but he is the eldest of the true sins since Lucifer is the depressed shut in king of hell. If hazbin wakes him up then he might remind Satan who is really in charge
Sheep girl next to Beelzebub is Belphegor the sin of Sloth and 2 headed fish girl that Mammon is flirting with is Leviathan, Levy for short, the sin of Envy
IMP wasn't in trouble for killing humans, it's about how they were getting to Earth, by not going though offical channels. Which means every hit after Blitz got the crystal was perfectly legal, even killing Ronaldo.
I've been spending pretty much every slow moment since Friday thinking about this episode, so you guys will be getting the results of _four days_ of hyperfixation as I've processed and reflected on what just happened. Buckle up, I've got a *_lot_* of notes this time: - I can't say I'm surprised that Stella neglected to mention that Stolas was loaning out his Grimoire. Let's face it: she's probably broken _worse_ laws herself! Unfortunately, that's exactly the detail Andrealphus needed to topple the whole domino castle Stolas has been constructing. - Internships and law enforcement: two facets of Hellish life that I hadn't really _thought about,_ but which make _total sense._ (I also get the feeling that Blitzø's been at least _considering_ what he'd do if his past caught up with him -- _his_ evacuation seemed less chaotic, and he seemed to anticipate where the others might struggle.) - It's such a little detail, but seeing Loona save the commemorative Polaroid photo of the crew's first job... she really _does_ love her eclectic found family, doesn't she? - I would imagine that the courtroom was the series' version of the Pandaemonium, the meeting place of all the demons of Hell (hence the name) from 'Paradise Lost'. - It took a while, but we finally get to at least _see_ the remaining Sins: *Satan, King of Wrath,* voiced by the _soul-rattling_ Patrick Page, as well as *Belphegor, Queen of Sloth* zonked in the back and *Leviathan, Queen of Envy* sitting in front. (Leviathan was a surprise, but it's cool seeing an unexpected design -- though the twin heads will likely mean two VAs, which might be part of why both they and Belle had no lines this time.) - I could probably take a stab at identifying the rest of the Goetia in attendance (and probably will later when I have more time), but we at least get one more member of Stolas's family to add to the tree: *Prince Vassago,* finder of lost things and one of the canonically _nicest_ members of the Goetic demons, voiced by Harvey Guillén. Good to know Stolas isn't the _only_ good egg! - Wasn't expecting to see Striker again this season, but I suppose he wanted at least _one_ win against the crew after the string of embarrassing defeats. I'd imagine we'll see more of him in Season 3, but I don't imagine Stella will still be paying him to go after Stolas -- he looks like he got a _promotion,_ judging by his Mafia-esque wardrobe. - Vassago's reaction to hearing about the assassination plot feels interesting to me. I don't know if he believes what's being told to the crowd, but his instant switch to a protective mindset feels like how Blitzo used to stand up for Fizz when they were younger -- *it's almost like he considers Stolas to be like a little brother.* - The domestics that go on between the Sins are an excellent touch. It's awesome that both Bee and Ozzie were in Blitzø's corner, and it's unsurprising that Mammon _wasn't_ -- the three of them have all _met_ Blitzø before, after all. (Telling, too, that Levy moved to the _far_ end of the bench after Mammon talked to them -- ain't *_nobody_* likes Mammon!) - Blitzø's insistence that he, and he _alone,_ be punished shows how much he values his found family at IMP. He would throw himself onto every sword in the universe if it meant protecting those who mean the world to him -- it's the only way he knows to show how much he cares. - In a mirror of that self-sacrificing personality, Stolas only really knows how to suffer so that others don't _have_ to. Even though he and Blitzø were still on the outs that morning, he couldn't live with himself if anything happened to Blitzø -- and by bringing things to that point, he finally helped Blitzø realize that *he felt the same way about Stolas this whole time.* - The look on Andrealphus's face as Stolas was taking the blame for Blitzø's actions says that _this was within expectations._ If Stolas never showed, Blitzø's execution would've hurt him in absentia, and Andrealphus still could've made the case that Stolas wasn't up to the task of his station -- but by using Blitzø's life as _bait,_ Andrealphus got Stolas to condemn _himself._ It was checkmate no matter _what_ Stolas did. - I feel like there's something significant to the fact that many of the people we saw watching the televised execution were not only people who know Blitzø and/or Stolas well enough to realize that the whole thing was a crock, but who recently had their own personal heart-to-hearts with one or both of them to help coax their relationship towards a healthier state: Fizz saw _right_ through Blitzø's deflections when they were abducted and got to see how much Blitzø wanted to impress Stolas before the last full moon, and Verosika saw firsthand how badly _both of them_ were hurt by the breakup and how much they both _wanted_ to be better for one another despite what had happened. Even Oz and Bee, who each stood up for Blitzø's character in court, know that there's more to this wild little firebrand of an Imp and his connection with Stolas than is being revealed. - I had a feeling that Stolas would end up stripped of his power and status once Andrealphus's plans came to fruition -- not _forever,_ at least, but a century is long enough for the show's purposes that it might as _well_ be. (The fact that Satan was fairly dismissive of the seriousness of his crime makes me think that what he's being punished for is *dereliction of duty,* letting someone else use his Grimoire even though doing so jeopardizes his ability to fulfill his own duties -- maintaining the status quo seems more important to the ruling class than actually determining what's justified here.) - It occurred to me as I was heading to work yesterday that, even if it gets out that Andrealphus lied to the court, he's unlikely to take the fall for it. Besides being a Goetic Marquis, which gives him the same immunity from consequences that Stolas had, he was also making his entire case on Stella's behalf -- a woman who is both _directly responsible_ for ordering two attempted assassinations and a kidnapping of a Goetia Prince, and who has no political immunity by virtue of her birth. *If he needs to, Andrealphus could, and likely **_would,_** throw his half-sister under the bus.* - Stolas's utter exhaustion feels like a mixture of having been drained of power in a way he's never really _felt_ before, shell-shocked depression over having just lost everything, and probably a degree of garden-variety overstimulation. But for as low as I'm sure he's feeling right now, for the first time in _decades, he's finally _*_free_* -- free from the shackles of obligation and duty, free to decide what he wants to do and who he wants to do it with, free from the expectations that governed his behavior and reigned in his exuberance and passion for things ever since he was a child. *A weathered old tree branch may not be as glamorous as a gilded cage, but there's a **_lot_** more room to stretch out your wings and feel the breeze.* - We're going into the season finale with the dynamic suddenly turned on its head: Stolas is disowned and powerless, Blitzø's suddenly a local hero for standing up for himself in that courtroom, the two of them are going to be in the perfect position to actually _figure out their relationship BS now,_ IMP is either being shuttered for operating illegally or about to get a _ton_ of new business and applications (depending on whether Stolas's actions cleared the business of wrongdoing as well), Andrealphus and Stella are several points up, Octavia is isolated from her father, Striker looks like he's now working for Crimson judging by his suit... there's a whole _tapestry_ of plot threads to potentially tug on, _and we've only got one episode left!_ (...that we _know about,_ anyway. I heard earlier that Season 2 might have _14_ episodes, but I've only heard that from one person, so I can't confirm for sure.) - While it's mostly speculation still, there's been a moment that's lived rent-free in my head this entire season: Stolas sitting under a tree with a bright-eyed young Imp, hearing all about the boy's dream business and being told that, if he _applied,_ the Impling would _hire_ him. *Stolas is going to need a job to support himself now, and I.M.P. needs someone who's good with paperwork and critical analysis -- it'd be the **_PERFECT_** coda for Season 2 to end where it began, sitting under a tree and sharing a hopeful dream for the future.*
This is great and you have said many of the things I have been fixating on the past 4 days. I have a few logs to throw on the fire. 😂 1. I don't think Stolas is going to feel *relieved* for a little while. Sinsmas is going to involve some form of confrontation with Octavia, so I think it's very probable he wakes up hyperfocused on getting to *her*. And if that goes the way I think it's going to go, we may be dealing with a grief-stricken and depressed owl demon for a bit. Luckily, Blitz has been there and can have empathy, hopefully. 2. I WANT TO SEE FALLOUT BETWEEN FIZZ AND OZZIE. Because Ozzie reeeaaaallly didn't do much at ALL in this situation and he's a Sin WITH a personal stake in this scenario. Stolas and Oz have been mirrors for each other since Ozzie's in terms of how they relate to the Imps in their lives, with Ozzie usually being the better one. Especially after admitting his love for Fizz in front of an audience. But Stolas just very publicly *tried to give his immortal life* for Blitz. While Oz gave a token resistance and then sat back and watched. And Ozzie knows more than *any other spectator in that room* that Stolas' act was an ACT. Ozzie knows what just happened, and now he has to go home to Fizz..... who would not be unjustified now in wondering if Ozzie would do the same for *him*.
Big same. Hyperfixation hit hard with this one. Re: Mammon - Because he's the worst and I adore him, I feel compelled to defend him on the likability front. One of Levy's heads was into the idea. Her smile only dropped when she saw the other head wasn't down. Re: Stolas' exhaustion and the self-sacrifice stuff - I don't think there's a bit of relief there as far as his newfound freedom goes yet. I imagine he'd be way more at peace with it if not for his daughter, but I also got the impression he was lowkey disappointed not to be executed. He's stuck with the consequences now. Hence the despondency and acceptance at being lashed out at. Dude LOATHES himself right now for doing what he swore to Octavia he wouldn't. And, given Blitz's surprise at how much he was drinking in Apology Tour and the meds, I'm not sure Blitz is entirely aware of what a manic depressive trainwreck Stolas is by default.
@@PennyxXxDreadful YES TO YOUR SECOND POINT! Stolas' purest love language is Big Damn Romance moments, yeah? A la romance novels. That's what he wants, that's what he's given in the past. And there's nothing bigger than a heroic sacrifice to save your loved one. He 100% expected to die the moment this plan crystallized. And.... I think it's VERY possible he was okay and at peace with that. After all, he was only really hanging on because of happy pills until Blitz reappeared in his life. And since Ozzie's which has been awhile even in the series at this point, he's gotten nothing from Blitz except heartache and heartBREAK. Dying to clear Blitz would also end that pain. I'm not saying Stolas was suicidal..... actively. But it wouldn't surprise me if some passive suicidality played a role in this decision. He has a blatant disregard for his own life and a pattern of drinking to Oblivion. And now.... he was denied that closure. Now he has to LIVE with that decision and all its consequences. His "inhaling the bathwater" was played for laughs but..... I sure hope Blitz keeps an eye on him.
@saralovelace7219 Definitely agreed on the first point. Stolas just had his entire world turned upside down, then inside out, then smashed with a baseball bat -- I don't think any of us expect him to bounce back from that right away, especially since he's never had to build up the same resiliency that Blitzø developed. But I feel like, despite everything he's lost, he'll realize that he's _gained_ a few things too... and hopefully, Octavia will be smart enough to realize that Stolas would never _willingly_ abandon her, and that her father doesn't love her any less just because he also loves Blitzø. I'm less certain that Fizz will have a falling-out with Oz, though. We could see how much Oz _wanted_ to help, but between Oz's lower rank compared to Satan's and his own involvement with the crime in question, Oz had very few options for what he could do without making things _worse._ I'm sure that powerlessness tore him up, too, given how much of a carer he is.
Best case scenario Exactly !!! They did them a huge favor!!! Goodbye gilded jail and lonenly throne and power imbalance creating a rift! Only Octavia situation needs to be resolved, but she went to IMP before, she can again. And it's not like it's going to be 100 years actually, as soon as the siblings scheming come to light he gets back his position, earth transgressions forgotten. Just what he needs right NOW, to be on equal footing, get friends, get a relationship properly, learn about how the world outside actually works...
stolas was quick on the draw with the mastermind story because he watches hellanovellas and has seen this happen at least seventeen times. just ask booktok about being able to spin wild tales that seem out of nowhere on the fly lol
What was stolas even saying he was guilty of? Lol he Phoenix Wright-ed the hell out of that courtroom, just spouting nonsense until they were convinced XD
He was guilty of using the grimoire to access the mortal realm and kill humans (which the grimoire is not meant for, it's meant for monitoring the heavens for prophecies), and is the 'mastermind' by using the imps as pawns in his scheme. Why Stolas would want to kill the mortals is apparently irrelevant to the fact that he broke 'demon law' by using the grimoire in such a way.
He was guilty of giving the imps his book to kill humans, which he was. He just pretended he had a master plan behind it all when he was just doing it out of love or at the start because he was horny
You do make a good point about weathering trauma together. Do I wish I had never gone through it, absolutely of course. Is my relationship closer because my partner and I went through it together? I would be lying if I said no. We'd still be together had none of it happened but there's something real about that shared experience, and being able to lean on one another when it gets to you.
Those two characters you’re asking about are Leviathan, the queen of Envy (the two headed demon), and Belphegor, the queen of Sloth. Essentially each of the 7 rings are ruled by their respected demon. Lucifer rules over Pride, Asmodeus rules over Lust, Beezlebub rules over Gluttony, and Mammon rules over Greed. Satan, Leviathan, and Belphegor were the missing pieces as we have not been introduced to them prior to this episode. Needless to say, I flipped the fuck out when I saw them.
14:30 If Stolas didn't waste time getting dressed and just showed up in his Robe and cape he coulda gotten there before the blade was literally falling. Just saying...
15:20 I was hoping he'd start singing about his Brother-in-law and Wife being behind it... CAUSE SHE IS BEHIND THE ASSASSIN. How fast would Striker turn on her and show the texts? If Stolas revealed I.M.P.Saved him from Striker in the song... Man he coulda turned it completely around on her!
11:12 - to answer the question "how do you die in Hell?" Ultimately, Hellborn Demons, such as imps, can die basically anyway the average person can. Sinners, entering Hazbin Hotel territory, can only be killed via Angelic weapons/powers. I'm curious to see how things may have played out if Lucifer had been present for this. What bothers me beyond any known extent is that corpo bull crap is keeping Vivienne (the creator of Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss) from bringing the two together completely
I loved how this was all masterminded by Andy who, by baiting Blitzø, made Stolas step up and claim to be the mastermind. Both Blitzø and Stolas tried to play into the classism of Hell and they achieved it, though the end result for Blitzø was far better than what happened to Stolas. It only sank into him after they got to the apartment what exactly he gave up by taking accountability for the Grimoire, but I believe he wouldn't have regretted it since Blitzø is alive. Hoping Sinsmas would start the turn for Stolas to be part of IMP.
It was amazing to finally see all the Sins and, except for Lucifer, for them to be in the same room, even if Leviathan and Belfagore didn't add much (we'll almost certainly get more of them at a later date). It was also so awesome to see Beelzebub again and for her to still be voiced by Kesha, and it was amazing to see Bee actually stand up for Blitz with Ozzie despite not really knowing Blitz, even though in the end they couldn't do much when outnumbered it was still sweet of her.
first of all this is by far my favorite episode of the show so far urghh it's SO GOOD😩 and second guys, a couple days ago they released another behind the scenes recording vid, this time how they recorded the pilot in order to celebrate the 5 year anniversary of the show, you gotta do a reaction to it!!
So fun facts satans voice has does hades from hades town, scar from lion king broadway, and judge frollo from hunchback broadway Viv I believe said that mastermind is her favorite song And vessagos voice is the little dog from puss wish movie I can’t spell lol sorry if any of that was spelled wrong
when they say "Oohh" when stolas says "I am the mastermind", you really don't expect???' xD it was so predictable. and then people say that stolas should have found an excuse and said that no the grimoire was never used by blitzo, but the problem is that we have two important goetia characters against them., Andrealphus and stella. Even if stolas says that blitzl never used the grimoire, satan wouldn't care at all, for him Andrealphus arrived first to denounce, he would surely say "ok let's call stella" and she would say well no Bitzo fucked my Marie with the book in hand. Stolas will say "yes but she wanted to kill me" and suddenly stella and stolas would be banished but Andrealphus would still be a prince
Will you try and watch one of glitch shows? It’s on TH-cam there are 2 shows I really recommend 1 murder drones 8 episodes only(plus pilot) in total it’s an amazing show to watch 2 the amazing digital circus it has 3 episodes so far one will come out in December/13th it’s also on Netflix too I would be so happy if you tried one of these ❤❤❤
Been waiting for this! I watch now... Edit1: remember that everyone can die, even sinners (in Hazbin they all think our precious dumbass is dead lol). We just don't know what happens after you die in Hell (or Heaven for that matter). Do souls get reborn? Do you cease to exist? Aside from one special case, we have no hints on potentials (though it does make me wonder if an angel can fall in death... though unless a certain asshole turns up in Hell for season 2 of Hazbin, that theory is probably out. At least in this instance- or maybe the rules differ since he didn't start out as an angel... who knows!). Edit2: Also is it only me, or does Stolas' song not evoke some Jack Skellington energy? I got some Jack's Lament vibes at the start. I don't think it can top some of Stolas' other songs for me, but it's growing on me. I also think I read someone commenting that this is Viv's fav song so far? But I didn't check sources for that (social media platforms are for other people...). Edit3: Although it is 100% a double entendre for Stolas considering where he ends up/who he's around, I think Andrealphus literally meant "being stuck around (horned) imps" with the horny jail comment. Edit4: Blitz is still wearing the crystal at the end of the episode, and that IS legal... probably. Not sure if imps are usually meant to have it, but that's Asmodeus' lie to come up with if anyone asks lol Edit5: And I'm sure someone has mentioned it, but the two headed person is Leviathan (Envy) and the sleepy sheep (or goat? I don't recall if female goats have horns) is Belphegor (Sloth- and the little demon Yogirt is one of sloths I think- I believe they all have the candles on their heads but I could be wrong on that).
I don’t really understand the stolas hate from the other imps…all he did was give his belongings to blitz and he saved him so why is he being treated so badly? 😅
Met Bryce at sacanime and he’s legit the sweetest guy ever I paid for just one selfi and he took a full photo shoot with my brother and I with silly faces 😂 he’s so cool and loves his fans so much 🥹🥹🥹
So many people don’t seem to realize that Stolas is talking about turning himself in at the beginning of the song and I don’t get it. It doesn’t matter who plotted his assassination, this trial is about illegal use of the grimoire, and that illegal use definitely happened. Someone had to go down for it.
And he admitted to that. But yea he did also admit to plotting his own assassination which was weird af.
Yeah the weird part is that they never say that directly in the courtroom
Fancy seeing a fellow entity in the wild.
@@Caldera01 oh look, third entity has appeared. Really fancy seeing you here
Is leviathan a girl? They're giving me more enby vibes imo
I'm actually impressed.
this ^
I love you
Yeah Viv confirmed that Ozzie and Bee rolled their eyes when he said that cause they know he made that up.
@Za11oy it is fun but annoying. They really should have explained all this better imo. Just weirdly handled.
@@Za11oyNo, evil already existed but hell didn’t, when lucifer gave eve and adam the fruit of knowledge, it opened up a hole (hell)
Seven Deadly Sins
pride: Lucifer
Wrath: Satan
gluttony: Beelzebub
greed: Mammon
lust: Asmodeus
envy: Leviathan
sloth: Belphegor
You die normally in hell. Those are all hellborn entities.. and fallen angels, whatever.. so hellborn can just.. die. Only sinners respawn again after "dying" unless they are hit by angelic weapons. Then they DIE die as well.
People seem to forget that hell is just another realm to live in. You are either born here.. or brought here.
28:22 the sheep with the candle is Bethegor sin of sloth and the 2 headed girl is leviathan sin of envy
We finally got all the sins in the hellaverse
**Belphegor.
@ thanks
Satan character design looks so cool.
He was talking about Lucifer from Hazbin Hotel. 18:33
Also the door shows the 7 sins (including Lucifer). 5:33
The legend!!! That's freaking rad! This next episode is probably about to be wild!
Technically they didn't touch Blitz's crystal, it's just that no one thought of using it x)
28:19 bottom left is Leviathan (Levi), queen of Envy and the other one is Belphegor (Belle), queen of Sloth
“How do you die in hell” well, the demons in helluva boss are all hellborne demons meaning they can die through normal means, like being stabbed or shot.
Ars Goetia or royal demons are an exception to this, they are hellborne but require angelic steel/weapons to kill them. (Im quite certain regular weapons cant actually harm them at all)
Sinner (from the pride ring, and the main cast of hazbin hotel) can only die from angelic steel/weapons aswell, (well they can die from normal means but they ressurect/remanifest, IF angelic steel is NOT used).
Satan is lying about that. Asmodeus and Bee looked at each other and were what is this guy talking about.
Yes. He lies because he’s “the law” and knows no one will correct him
I didn't get that when watching I thought their look at each other was annoyed Lucifer was never there cause they looked at his empty seat first
Lucifer is supposed to be in charge but he's too depressed to actually run Hell like he's supposed to so Satan took charge.
Could be wrong.
if this was the episode before the season finale i wonder the finale gone be cause this episode was amazing
Freaking right!! It really was!! Makes me even more stoked now for the next one!
i never questioned why i love watching you guys watch this series, but while talking to my husband, i realized something so important to me. you guys are SO NORMAL about gay relationships and trans characters. this entire show is filled with them and y'all haven't batted an eye. never questioned it. never surprised by it. you treat each one as their own relationship and person, regardless of who is involved. and it's so refreshing to see
thank you guys for being so amazing. not only are you guys funny as all hell, take everything seriously when it needs to be, and actually get into the characters, but you also seem to be genuinely good people who don't give a shit what kind of background or identity someone has
keep doing what you're doing. this nonbinary bisexual thanks you 💖💖💖
It's the Vivzieverse. It's a good place and attracts mostly very nice people. ❤
😈 Well, I just wanted to add that death is not the end for hellborn or angels either... They watch until judgment day as the eyes you see everywhere 👀
Omg the little flying imp next to satin also reminded me of Adam with his looks lol when I fist saw this
2 biggest expressions of love, Blitz sacrificing himself to spare his found family, Moxxie, Millie, and Loona.
I NEVER WAITED A REACTION SOOOOO BAD
I've been spending pretty much every slow moment since Friday thinking about this episode, so you guys will be getting the results of _four days_ of hyperfixation as I've processed and reflected on what just happened. Buckle up, I've got a *_lot_* of notes this time:
- I can't say I'm surprised that Stella neglected to mention that Stolas was loaning out his Grimoire. Let's face it: she's probably broken _worse_ laws herself! Unfortunately, that's exactly the detail Andrealphus needed to topple the whole domino castle Stolas has been constructing.
- Internships and law enforcement: two facets of Hellish life that I hadn't really _thought about,_ but which make _total sense._ (I also get the feeling that Blitzø's been at least _considering_ what he'd do if his past caught up with him -- _his_ evacuation seemed less chaotic, and he seemed to anticipate where the others might struggle.)
- It's such a little detail, but seeing Loona save the commemorative Polaroid photo of the crew's first job... she really _does_ love her eclectic found family, doesn't she?
- I would imagine that the courtroom was the series' version of the Pandaemonium, the meeting place of all the demons of Hell (hence the name) from 'Paradise Lost'.
- It took a while, but we finally get to at least _see_ the remaining Sins: *Satan, King of Wrath,* voiced by the _soul-rattling_ Patrick Page, as well as *Belphegor, Queen of Sloth* zonked in the back and *Leviathan, Queen of Envy* sitting in front. (Leviathan was a surprise, but it's cool seeing an unexpected design -- though the twin heads will likely mean two VAs, which might be part of why both they and Belle had no lines this time.)
- I could probably take a stab at identifying the rest of the Goetia in attendance (and probably will later when I have more time), but we at least get one more member of Stolas's family to add to the tree: *Prince Vassago,* finder of lost things and one of the canonically _nicest_ members of the Goetic demons, voiced by Harvey Guillén.
I don't know if he believes what's being told to the crowd, but his instant switch to a protective mindset feels like how Blitzo used to stand up for Fizz when they were younger -- *it's almost like he considers Stolas to be like a little brother.*
- The domestics that go on between the Sins are an excellent touch. It's awesome that both Bee and Ozzie were in Blitzø's corner, and it's unsurprising that Mammon _wasn't_ -- the three of them have all _met_ Blitzø before, after all. (Telling, too, that Levy moved to the _far_ end of the bench after Mammon talked to them -- ain't *_nobody_* likes Mammon!)
- Blitzø's insistence that he, and he _alone,_ be punished shows how much he values his found family at IMP. He would throw himself onto every sword in the universe if it meant protecting those who mean the world to him -- it's the only way he knows to show how much he cares.
- In a mirror of that self-sacrificing personality, Stolas only really knows how to suffer so that others don't _have_ to. Even though he and Blitzø were still on the outs that morning, he couldn't live with himself if anything happened to Blitzø -- and by bringing things to that point, he finally helped Blitzø realize that *he felt the same way about Stolas this whole time.*
- The look on Andrealphus's face as Stolas was taking the blame for Blitzø's actions says that _this was within expectations._ If Stolas never showed, Blitzø's execution would've hurt him in absentia, and Andrealphus still could've made the case that Stolas wasn't up to the task of his station -- but by using Blitzø's life as _bait,_ Andrealphus got Stolas to condemn _himself._ It was checkmate no matter _what_ Stolas did.
(The fact that Satan was fairly dismissive of the seriousness of his crime makes me think that what he's being punished for is *dereliction of duty,* letting someone else use his Grimoire even though doing so jeopardizes his ability to fulfill his own duties -- maintaining the status quo seems more important to the ruling class than actually determining what's justified here.)
- It occurred to me as I was heading to work yesterday that, even if it gets out that Andrealphus lied to the court, he's unlikely to take the fall for it. *If he needs to, Andrealphus could, and likely **_would,_** throw his half-sister under the bus.*
- Stolas's utter exhaustion feels like a mixture of having been drained of power in a way he's never really _felt_ before, shell-shocked depression over having just lost everything, and probably a degree of garden-variety overstimulation. *A weathered old tree branch may not be as glamorous as a gilded cage, but there's a **_lot_** more room to stretch out your wings and feel the breeze.*
- We're going into the season finale with the dynamic suddenly turned on its head: Stolas is disowned and powerless, Blitzø's suddenly a local hero for standing up for himself in that courtroom, the two of them are going to be in the perfect position to actually _figure out their relationship BS now,_ IMP is either being shuttered for operating illegally or about to get a _ton_ of new business and applications (depending on whether Stolas's actions cleared the business of wrongdoing as well), Andrealphus and Stella are several points up, Octavia is isolated from her father, Striker looks like he's now working for Crimson judging by his suit... there's a whole _tapestry_ of plot threads to potentially tug on, _and we've only got one episode left!_ (...that we _know about,_ anyway. I heard earlier that Season 2 might have _14_ episodes, but I've only heard that from one person, so I can't confirm for sure.)
- While it's mostly speculation still, there's been a moment that's lived rent-free in my head this entire season: Stolas sitting under a tree with a bright-eyed young Imp, hearing all about the boy's dream business and being told that, if he _applied,_ the Impling would _hire_ him.
Damn, you had a melting pot for a head these last days.
Best case scenario
Exactly !!!
Just what he needs right NOW, to be on equal footing, get friends, get a relationship properly, learn about how the world outside actually works...
stolas was quick on the draw with the mastermind story because he watches hellanovellas and has seen this happen at least seventeen times. just ask booktok about being able to spin wild tales that seem out of nowhere on the fly lol
the moment with eating Mamon was great
can you imagine how big pig you have to be, for the "Sin of Gluttony" to be disgusted by your eating habbits?
@swaswj414 thank you for explaining, I got really lost, stolas bamboozled me too xb
Sinsmas will be out sometime this month and this mastermind is sad and emotional the double head person is Leviathan and the sheep one is Belphegor
The candle headed demon next to Bee is Belphegor, ruling the sloth ring. The double-headed demon is Leviathan, ruling the envy ring.
One of the best episodes.
I kinda helped with both story board and backgroud design
@@OddSwiftGooseSo cool! In Spain I met a girl who works as a cleaner.
So cool! In Spain I met a girl who works as a cleaner.
when they say "Oohh" when stolas says "I am the mastermind", you really don't expect???' xD it was so predictable.
That sounds freaking rad!! Definitely gonna see about that. Thank you!
@@TheHeckOfficial ur welcome guys😊
Great to see you're caught up on the episodes - but there's still 2 shorts to see before the season finals
So fun facts satans voice has does hades from hades town, scar from lion king broadway, and judge frollo from hunchback broadway
Viv I believe said that mastermind is her favorite song
And vessagos voice is the little dog from puss wish movie I can’t spell lol sorry if any of that was spelled wrong
11:12
I didn't even think about that until later. How does death work as a punishment. They're already in hell.💀
Satan has so e real big daddy vibes and that was lucifer duck right there on the throne 18:39 maybe we see some hazbin cameo in the future?
They were flushing their disguises.
18:47 this scene goes hard af
Best episode 😭❤
The two women are the final remaining sins
BRB WITH THE DUCK IM DYING 😂
Anyway, Satan still does not know about the Asmodeus crystal usage by Blitz
If you like Satans voice you should definitely listen to the musical Hadestown! Patrick Page (Satans voice actor) plays Hades in the OBC!
when they say "Oohh" when stolas says "I am the mastermind", you really don't expect???' xD it was so predictable. and then people say that stolas should have found an excuse and said that no the grimoire was never used by blitzo, but the problem is that we have two important goetia characters against them., Andrealphus and stella.
It’s on TH-cam there are 2 shows I really recommend
1 murder drones 8 episodes only(plus pilot) in total it’s an amazing show to watch
2 the amazing digital circus it has 3 episodes so far one will come out in December/13th it’s also on Netflix too
I would be so happy if you tried one of these ❤❤❤
I love your reactions!
Please can you guys check out the song Addict for Hazbin hotel, Its sung by the original Voice actors for Cherri Bomb and Angeldust
If you Patrick Paiges voice (Satan) you should watch Hadestown. He's cast as Hades
Edit4: Blitz is still wearing the crystal at the end of the episode, and that IS legal... probably. Not sure if imps are usually meant to have it, but that's Asmodeus' lie to come up with if anyone asks lol
Edit5: And I'm sure someone has mentioned it, but the two headed person is Leviathan (Envy) and the sleepy sheep (or goat? I don't recall if female goats have horns) is Belphegor (Sloth- and the little demon Yogirt is one of sloths I think- I believe they all have the candles on their heads but I could be wrong on that).
3 minutes is crazy
Unrelated but has anyone ever told you that you look like Mike'o hearn?
(Good vid by the way🔥)
Wait me or Chris??
great video
I don’t really understand the stolas hate from the other imps…all he did was give his belongings to blitz and he saved him so why is he being treated so badly? 😅
...so are we not talking about the beard then? okay, just...get well soon. humans are hairy
Unrelated, what happened to your hand bro?
3k
I'm begging for they to stop the video every time they talk, or they're going to miss a ton of important things xD.
Met Bryce at sacanime and he’s legit the sweetest guy ever I paid for just one selfi and he took a full photo shoot with my brother and I with silly faces 😂 he’s so cool and loves his fans so much 🥹🥹🥹
