This is awesome! There seems to be more music than sound (but maybe that's what you were going for idk). And from 2:20 ~ 2:30 I would imagine it would be louder. But its still awesome I gave 5 *****s
I'm in awe, seriously I kept thinking it was the original sound from the movie. Well done :) I do agree Buzz's voice was a bit thin but its not important, what is important is to have done everything audible yourself, its a fantastic achievement. You have inspired me to do Foley and Sound Design for my final year project at university also. I salute you! I wish you great luck in the future, take care.
(beacuse the music was giving us with this emotion...), aaaaand at tcr: 05:32:59:22 we see the ground splitting under the hero but we hear his voice as the most audible object of sound, then a while later the cracky sound (spitting of ground) comes, there must be a balance in there... but nice work man... try more and you got the talent...
Thanks for your incite, what exactly do you mean by "medium"? The fact that its animation of toys with realistic sound? or how i have it posted on youtube?
I though this was ok. The balance between the music and effects needs more work so that each work in harmony at specific points. The voice of Buzz is a little weak too. Really like the music and most of the effects are good too, just the balance needs work. (Just so you know, I teach sound design at a top UK university)
good work... but i guess around tcr:05:32:19:00 and 05:32:21:20 the ADR is running so we can't have a feeling of syncronisation , also i think there is something wrong about the sound at the landing of the hero at tcr:05:32:10:03 you might strengthen it i mean..
@TheSoundGuy19 don't know what he is saying, it sounds great, the cinematic music is alot more adult and forcefull then the original but that's the point isn't it?
you found the music online ? and the sound effects ?? nice done, 2:44 - 2:55 something is missing, maybe a loud boom at the end when the spikes hit the door. all in all a nice piece. what programm did you use ? greetzz
great sound design. Music didn't really fit in most places but thats to be expected since it wasn't made with the clip in mind. shame it just distracted from your great work in places.
This isnt better than the original (what was obviously gonna be the case) but i found it very intresting and gave me a brand new insight in how we can play with sound affetcs to change the way movies give off :)
I like it generally but the sound effects and music sound too "clean" and clinical. There's no "atmosphere"/"space". Try adjusting /varying your levels, adding a bit of reverb.
This isn't a workprint, just a random clip that's been used in some sound design classes. Just because something has a Burnt-in timecode, doesn't mean it's a workprint.
Excellent job. That must have been a lot of work.
Very cool.
This is amazing..... it was like it was a serious movie instead of a funny animation movei
It's good. Practice makes perfect
Wow! Great job!

2:18 Mario sound effect.
Really? Its the same sound used in Quake 1 when you use a teleporter
It's the same sound effect when Mario goes down traps.
It's awesome....simply AWESOME!!!

If this was for a class, then I hope you got an "A", because this is Great!
Song choice for beginning scene??

It may be because it was recorded in 360p from a workprint VHS with a TCR timecode?
