- "...Do you love this game?
I mean, love it with your whole heart?
Because if you don't, let's not even bother. Let's not open that door and slam it back at our face.
I love this game -- I live this game.
And there's a thousand other guys waiting in the wings who are obsessed with this game.
Obsessed is gonna beat talent every time. You've got all the talent in the world, but are you obsessed? Is it all you ever think about?"
-- Adam Sandler as Stanley Sugarman, from the movie Hustle
You'll find that there's plenty of Slow Motion segments on these videos. The reason for this is that it's made for doubles tennis players like myself looking to improve their game. The slow motion allows me to see different aspects of that particular play pattern -- how the ball was hit and where it was aimed, the action/reactions of each player, what I could have done differently if I were in that situation, etc.
I tend to watch these videos before a match. This way, the image sits in the back of my head -- I don't have to think when playing. I hope you enjoy these videos as much as I had fun editing them. I would appreciate it if you share the videos with your circle of friends.
I'm creating a series of shorts on the following:
return of serve
serve + 1
defense to offense patterns in 4 shots or less
net play & poaching
I am curating these from the latest doubles matches, and a few from the grand slams I have in my library. If you wish to be notified when these are published, kindly subscribed to the channel.
