      Greek mythology and folklore is all the Bible is . If it wasn't and God was a real thing then why wouldn't he let it be made clear too all that he's real? Ya know it's really a bunch of nonsense to believe a God would sacrifice himself to himself to save you from a hell that only he created and only he can put ya there! But however if you choose to disagree then all I ask is try and make it make sense and see how that goes for ya.

      @@David-dg3rq it's clear to all able to see that our lord is real. Why everything you don't understand should be explained to you ?
      Do you understand RNA or DNA ? No ! Yet you choose the jab over your faith (which undoubtedly you lost).

      @@laurentlegaz6286 why is it that everything you don't understand is a God cause you don't understand 🤔

    • @laurentlegaz6286
      @laurentlegaz6286 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

       @David-dg3rq That's not what I'm saying, I'm scientific in nature and thus I get it that "understanding a thing" does not make it real (science fiction).
      Things that have been, are now, or just even could be real without us to understand a fragment of it. And with "us" I mean humanity. Still those "things" exist (eg. life, death, nature, diseases), and existed for centuries before us.
      And reciprocally we can qualify unreal things as "understood" or "well known" (eg. dragon wing/claw, viruses).
      Because they appear likely enough or share traits we have already seen elsewhere beforehand.
      Finally, we went around to get back at our starting point where the Sci Fi and The (great and holy !) Science can still be easily inverted. Because understanding Science does not make science any realler, it only changes your own approach to it and more specifically your beliefs in it.
      All in all to end with this : your beliefs are your own. Stay humble.

    • @laurentlegaz6286
      @laurentlegaz6286 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@David-dg3rq Conversely I think it's your lack of understanding, a lack of an open-mind to spirituality and/or regarding life and philosophy in general that deny you the understanding of the core-concept of a "God".
      But this has been conceptualized by brighter men than us for centuries and in all areas of earth !
      There are many religions and all have deities and those religions present their god(s) in various manners. Same thing applies to hell or heaven that are other concepts.
      So if humans can conceptualize the same "thing" (concept) in various ways as various as ethnies all around the world (it varies in time and in space) then this concept EXIST (or as Kant would say it CANNOT be denied by logical means).
      And IF this concept exist then some of the things hiding behind exist also (e.g moral).

      Yeah, I've read revelation too but I never came across this, is this even in the Bible?
      Edit: I've done a bit of research and nowhere in the Bible does it mention this story. According to what I've come across, this story was first told by an early Christian writer Tertullian (155-240 AD) for reference Emperor Domitian (emperor from 81 to 96 AD)
      So around 60 years after the *death* of Domitian was this story first told. And nowhere in the Bible does it say anything about it apart from the Book of Revelation which begins with saying "I, John, your brother and companion in the suffering and kingdom and patient endurance that are ours in Jesus, was on the island of Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus." Revelation 1:9-10 but there's nothing about John being thrown in boiling oil, which I'M SURE would've been recorded by John in the book of revelation or another book in the Bible. But there's no such story in the Bible which means it's probably just a tale that was made up and then passed on through the generations.🤦🏾‍♀️

      @Ria.Jay77257 there's places in Rome that say it they were written near the time where it happened. Don't you know that apostles didn't try and put light onto themselves? Paul was stoned and beaten badly but didn't say very much about it. He said that he asked God to remove thorn from his side 3 times. But he lived in pain the rest of his life. All apostles were tortured and executed except John he's the only one that wasn't

    Good video and an encouraging message! historical documents indeed describe that the emperor tried to boil John to death but failed to do so. What a testimony of faith!
    There is one issue I found in your video that doesn't align with the life of John, however. You use an illustration at 6:04 of someone practising eastern meditation which is counter everything John stood for. There is no room for this kind of practise in the life of any Christian as this kind of meditation is rooted in religions like Buddhism. Buddhism says a person is able to achieve enlightenment through certain practices and believes. Buddhists believe that the human life is one of suffering, and that meditation, spiritual and physical labor, and good behavior are the ways to achieve enlightenment, or nirvana. Jesus however says that there is nothing you can do to earn your salvation by your own efforts. All you have to do is accept that He paid for all your wrongs and accept Him as your Lord and Saviour. Jesus claimed that He alone is the only way to salvation and to Heaven. John, a follower of Jesus, would therefore never have agreed with any references to Buddhism.

      Psalm 63:6 - “When I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the watches of the night.” Psalm 77:12 - “I will ponder all your work, and meditate on your mighty deeds.” Psalm 119:27 - “Make me understand the way of your precepts, and I will meditate on your wondrous works.”
      The Bible obviously mentions meditation… read your bible folks.
      John may not have meditated the same way a Buddhist would have, but he may have meditated on Gods word.

    The earliest extant reference to John being thrown in boiling oil from Tertullian, c. 200. His casual mention of the event suggests that it was a widely known story during his day, although it is hard to say by what amount of time the story predates Tertullian. The only reference I have found is Tertullian: He says "Since, moreover, you are close upon Italy, you have Rome, from which there comes even into our own hands the very authority (of apostles themselves). How happy is its church, on which apostles poured forth all their doctrine along with their blood; where Peter endures a passion like his Lord's; where Paul wins his crown in a death like John the Baptist's; where the Apostle John was first plunged, unhurt, into boiling oil, and thence remitted to his island-exile."
    If the story has any basis in fact, it is usually assumed to have taken place late in the reign of Domitian (81-96 AD). The only book of the New Testament that directly covers church history, The Acts of the Apostles, ends in about 61 AD. Assuming Johannine authorship of I John, II John, and III John, all three would predate the boiling incident. The remaining Johannine literature - Gospel of John and Revelation - would not be expected to mention it either. Thus, we would not expect the story to be mentioned in the Bible, even if it is true.

    The good news of “The kingdom “ was all about something outside of the normal human experience. Jesus healed the sick raised the dead, he walked on water in secret and if you read between the lines he even jumped 50 ish km in a second with a boat and 13 people. He himself died a gruesome death then came back to life. John also lived a life of miracles that hot oil was nothing. A true believer has no boundaries or shackles.❤ Jesus said “ repent or perish “ he knew the Romans were going to scatter the Jews and he was getting them ready for life in the supernatural. Those who didn’t believe had a much harder time in the scattering.

      That doesn't make any sense. Everyone has to die the first death as written. Humanity doesn't live that long in this cursed world anymore. Not even the oldest man in the record made it to a thousand and still walked the Earth. There will be two witnesses of the end of the world, and Elijah and Enoch are the likely candidates because they were taken into heaven without dying.

    While on the cross Jesus told John to take care of his mother because he knew that John would live on the earth until the Second Coming of Christ. You can learn a little more about John if you read the following scripture: 1 And it came to pass when Jesus had said these words, he spake unto his disciples, one by one, saying unto them: What is it that ye desire of me, after that I am gone to the Father?
    2 And they all spake, save it were three, saying: We desire that after we have lived unto the age of man, that our ministry, wherein thou hast called us, may have an end, that we may speedily come unto thee in thy kingdom.
    3 And he said unto them: Blessed are ye because ye desired this thing of me; therefore, after that ye are seventy and two years old ye shall come unto me in my kingdom; and with me ye shall find rest.
    4 And when he had spoken unto them, he turned himself unto the three, and said unto them: What will ye that I should do unto you, when I am gone unto the Father?
    5 And they sorrowed in their hearts, for they durst not speak unto him the thing which they desired.
    6 And he said unto them: Behold, I know your thoughts, and ye have desired the thing which John, my beloved, who was with me in my ministry, before that I was lifted up by the Jews, desired of me.
    7 Therefore, more blessed are ye, for ye shall never taste of death; but ye shall live to behold all the doings of the Father unto the children of men, even until all things shall be fulfilled according to the will of the Father, when I shall come in my glory with the powers of heaven.
    8 And ye shall never endure the pains of death; but when I shall come in my glory ye shall be changed in the twinkling of an eye from mortality to immortality; and then shall ye be blessed in the kingdom of my Father.
    9 And again, ye shall not have pain while ye shall dwell in the flesh, neither sorrow save it be for the sins of the world; and all this will I do because of the thing which ye have desired of me, for ye have desired that ye might bring the souls of men unto me, while the world shall stand.
    10 And for this cause ye shall have fulness of joy; and ye shall sit down in the kingdom of my Father; yea, your joy shall be full, even as the Father hath given me fulness of joy; and ye shall be even as I am, and I am even as the Father; and the Father and I are one;
    11 And the Holy Ghost beareth record of the Father and me; and the Father giveth the Holy Ghost unto the children of men, because of me.
    12 And it came to pass that when Jesus had spoken these words, he touched every one of them with his finger save it were the three who were to tarry, and then he departed.
    13 And behold, the heavens were opened, and they were caught up into heaven, and saw and heard unspeakable things.
    14 And it was forbidden them that they should utter; neither was it given unto them power that they could utter the things which they saw and heard;
    15 And whether they were in the body or out of the body, they could not tell; for it did seem unto them like a transfiguration of them, that they were changed from this body of flesh into an immortal state, that they could behold the things of God.
    16 But it came to pass that they did again minister upon the face of the earth; nevertheless they did not minister of the things which they had heard and seen, because of the commandment which was given them in heaven.
    17 And now, whether they were mortal or immortal, from the day of their transfiguration, I know not;
    18 But this much I know, according to the record which hath been given-they did go forth upon the face of the land, and did minister unto all the people, uniting as many to the church as would believe in their preaching; baptizing them, and as many as were baptized did receive the Holy Ghost.
    19 And they were cast into prison by them who did not belong to the church. And the prisons could not hold them, for they were rent in twain.
    20 And they were cast down into the earth; but they did smite the earth with the word of God, insomuch that by his power they were delivered out of the depths of the earth; and therefore they could not dig pits sufficient to hold them.
    21 And thrice they were cast into a furnace and received no harm.
    22 And twice were they cast into a den of wild beasts; and behold they did play with the beasts as a child with a suckling lamb, and received no harm.
    23 And it came to pass that thus they did go forth among all the people of Nephi, and did preach the gospel of Christ unto all people upon the face of the land; and they were converted unto the Lord, and were united unto the church of Christ, and thus the people of that generation were blessed, according to the word of Jesus.
    24 And now I, Mormon, make an end of speaking concerning these things for a time.
    25 Behold, I was about to write the names of those who were never to taste of death, but the Lord forbade; therefore I write them not, for they are hid from the world.
    26 But behold, I have seen them, and they have ministered unto me.
    27 And behold they will be among the Gentiles, and the Gentiles shall know them not.
    28 They will also be among the Jews, and the Jews shall know them not.
    29 And it shall come to pass, when the Lord seeth fit in his wisdom that they shall minister unto all the scattered tribes of Israel, and unto all nations, kindreds, tongues and people, and shall bring out of them unto Jesus many souls, that their desire may be fulfilled, and also because of the convincing power of God which is in them.
    30 And they are as the angels of God, and if they shall pray unto the Father in the name of Jesus they can show themselves unto whatsoever man it seemeth them good.
    31 Therefore, great and marvelous works shall be wrought by them, before the great and coming day when all people must surely stand before the judgment-seat of Christ;
    32 Yea even among the Gentiles shall there be a great and marvelous work wrought by them, before that judgment day.
    33 And if ye had all the scriptures which give an account of all the marvelous works of Christ, ye would, according to the words of Christ, know that these things must surely come.
    34 And wo be unto him that will not hearken unto the words of Jesus, and also to them whom he hath chosen and sent among them; for whoso receiveth not the words of Jesus and the words of those whom he hath sent receiveth not him; and therefore he will not receive them at the last day;
    35 And it would be better for them if they had not been born. For do ye suppose that ye can get rid of the justice of an offended God, who hath been trampled under feet of men, that thereby salvation might come?
    36 And now behold, as I spake concerning those whom the Lord hath chosen, yea, even three who were caught up into the heavens, that I knew not whether they were cleansed from mortality to immortality-
    37 But behold, since I wrote, I have inquired of the Lord, and he hath made it manifest unto me that there must needs be a change wrought upon their bodies, or else it needs be that they must taste of death;
    38 Therefore, that they might not taste of death there was a change wrought upon their bodies, that they might not suffer pain nor sorrow save it were for the sins of the world.
    39 Now this change was not equal to that which shall take place at the last day; but there was a change wrought upon them, insomuch that Satan could have no power over them, that he could not tempt them; and they were sanctified in the flesh, that they were holy, and that the powers of the earth could not hold them.
    40 And in this state they were to remain until the judgment day of Christ; and at that day they were to receive a greater change, and to be received into the kingdom of the Father to go no more out, but to dwell with God eternally in the heavens.

    How did John survive the cauldron of boiling oil? The same reason that the three Hebrews who were in Babylon who were thrown into a furnace of fire because they refused King Nebuchadnezzar’s command to bow to the golden image that he set up. When the king saw the three Hebrew men walking in the furnace with another personage, which turned out to be Jesus in His preexistence. And when the three Hebrews Came out, there was no burns on them, not even their hair was singed. (Read the story in Daniel Chapter 3). The same God who Protected those Three Hebrews; Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego is the same God who protected Paul from the boiling pot of oil. Yes, we worship an awesome God who will protect His children in the time of trouble.

    Where does the Bible tell us Apostle John was boiled in oil??? Chapter and verse is needed to prove your story is true, in fact 2 witnesses of Holy Scripture are required by God to prove your story as God so said in Deu.19:15 and 2Cor.13:1.

    Interesting video, but technically clickbait, as you spend all of 30 seconds actually talking about the boiling oil and don't actually answer the question you pose in the title. It would have been nice to have had some sort of quotation or bibliography, too, as I've never heard the story before and would like to have heard how to find out more about it.
    I say all this as opportunities for growth and betterment, not at all with a spirit of criticism or cynicism.

      one letter about it and the two wits post letters to the churches so this is one of them
      Letter to the churches
      Good news today! Hallelujah all the glory to God I found out who the other witness is its John! John the revelator! And all kinds of scripture Jesus showed me about it.
      John ate the scroll, got the reed, met the 24 elders in heaven, saw everyone singing at the throne of God and all creation singing, got a tour of heaven, and wrote the end times book. Look at the verses about him its amazing.
      Jumanji the missing piece for 20 years locked up somewhere for 2000 years and maybe only gotten out when God needed the big guns. And then i saw a vision of John in a jungle and he said he was doing good the whole time that he was not in a garden of pain like i was but some kind of garden like eden and he got to be there somehow. Now i found out that is where John is.
      And he saw the whole world and traveled it and influenced it. And he was hidden in plain sight.
      ,he is the disciple Jesus loved.
      Verses about John
      26 When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! - Jhn 19:26 KJV
      2 Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him. - Jhn 20:2 KJV
      7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt [his] fisher's coat [unto him], (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea. ... 20 Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee? - Jhn 21:7, 20 KJV
      Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?
      Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what [is that] to thee? follow thou me.
      Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what [is that] to thee? This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true. - Jhn 21:20-24
      he is a faithful and true witness and was there at the beginning he might have been the first true believer to be an overcomer.
      And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen. - Jhn 21:25
      He couldnt write it all down what he saw it was so big and amazing
      John sang a scripture song and told me jokes. He is the manchild who sat on Jesus lap at the last supper
      I said what do they need me for then? Lol. this is really good news too what a relief and the wits are here
      [Mar 9:1 KJV] 1 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.
      [Luk 9:27 KJV] 27 But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.
      John and i talked with Jesus and he said all of you are special to his heart and he wants all men to be saved and acknowledge the way the truth and the life. And that he has been looking forward to meeting you all but he got tied up somewhere and a little late to the party and i found out what John has been doing for all this time he has been busy
      (Wow guys John is a lot more powerful than i am) he sang this to me i sing it all the time with a different tune. We sing scripture.
      Walk by faith not by sight
      By Gods power by His might
      Not by works which we have done
      But according to His mercy he saved us
      By the washing of regeneration and renewing of the holy Ghost
      Not by power nor by might but by my Spirit says the Lord
      Our God is coming in power and glory
      How should we all be greeting Him?
      if you love God with all your heart mind soul and strength you will seek Him often and try to please Him and it is so awesome to please God. He is generous and kind and funny and He likes to give good gifts thats His heart of mercy and love, and He has another side that cannot abide sin.. And John got purified which is basically what we want to be sanctified set apart for Gods use and without sin.
      . And If he ever left Jesus he came back first.
      he was there when Jesus died if he ever ran away he came running back because Jesus called him to take care of His mother. He volunteered for some weird jobs for God.
      Jesus showed me over 100 whole chapters about the wits, its two specific people who suffered greatly and the suffer like Jesus did people calling them names, kicking them out, deleting their messages, so many pharisees hating them, they are interceding for Gods people. And seeing heaven opened being shown around heaven. Meeting the 24 elders John knows them too and sings with the cloud of witnesses. They post letters to the churches every day.like John prophesied.
      The donkey stories are about the two witnesses a mother and colt.
      [Psa 32:9 NIV] 9 Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you.
      Be like a sheep obedient and sweet and make wool or be a donkey. In the singing donkey army of useful asses with assets of Almighty God.
      This is about John the revelator the other witness
      [Mar 9:1 KJV] 1 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.
      [Luk 9:27 KJV] 27 But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.
      [Mat 18:19 KJV] 19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
      The two witnesses are on earth now singing prophetasses who sing scripture agreeing on it watching it manifest.
      John got a special call and came running to help Jesus’s mother.
      26 When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! - Jhn 19:26
      Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, (and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved,) and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him. - Jhn 20:2 KJV 7 Therefore that (disciple whom Jesus loved) saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt [his] fisher's coat [unto him], (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea. ...
      Then Peter, turning about, seeth (the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper,) and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee? - Jhn 21:7, 20 KJV
      20 Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee? 21
      Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?
      Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what [is that] to thee? follow thou me. 23 Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what [is that] to thee?

      This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true. - Jhn 21:20-24 he is a faithful and true witness and was there at the beginning he might have been the first true believer to be an overcomer.
      And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen. - Jhn 21:25
      John wanted to write down every word Jesus said too and ran out of paper i ran out of memory three times in a year. Everything He says is amazing.

    You are confusing him with Nero, who wanted to be worshipped like a God and force the mark of the beast (Nero the beast) on all or they would be decapitated or starved.
