Alot of folks ask why Durrand hasn't been signed is because he doesn't fit (in his own words...) of what a record label is looking for. Now...what the hell they looking for is a mystery to me. Dude is EVERYTHING!! Uniqueness is everything. He'll make it one day, just by doing it on his own terms. Along as Durrand keeps getting the necessary positive exposure, we'll see him on the big stage with the rest of the greats. I guess better late than never.
In other words he's a rainbow and they wouldn't have known how to market his kind of RnB. I've experienced the same predicament. It's sad.
@@4doni5 ...in my opinion the music industry is so fickle. There are artists who are continuously looked over because their music is not cookie cutter and not mainstream in their eyes. They are missing out on sooo...many phenomenal singers. One day, I pray that this will change.
My good man. You are so correct. Of course there is a narrative to drive that they control. He is on the right path as I am learning to do the same. The independent market is growing and the need for labels will soon be scarce because alot of artist are doing it themselves. In due time he will definitely shine. How do I know, because his work speaks for itself.

hes already been on the biggest stages or other stars but he for sure deserves the big stage dolo...hes completely different and no one touching his entertianment value .. not even speakiing on his talent level

I saw Durand on a Taco Tuesday some months ago. I thought to myself "He sounds really good." But when he was on the Terrell Show over a month ago, I watched that episode enjoying every single bit of it. They had me cracking up. I can't tell you how many times I've watched that episode. I've been hooked on Durand since then. I looked up his new album immediately and I can listen to it from beginning to end. The whole album is sooooo good!
