This is my most favorite Tour city track out of all the ones we have. It has such a lovely setting, from the suspension bridge area, to entering Rogers arena, and seeing the aurora borealis shine above the sky! Also, it has a really cool track name: “Vancouver Velocity.” (I love the name). And the music is AMAZING! My favorite out of the city tracks besides Madrid’s and Sydney’s. If only in Deluxe, they started out with the third variant, and then did the second variant, and then finished off with the first variant with the suspension bridge section, that would’ve been a perfect arrangement of the variants, but we got what we got, and I’m so happy it’s finally in Deluxe. Also, that is a really cool detail in the Deluxe version showing how damp the roads are, because of the frequent precipitations that occur in Vancouver. I love that attention to detail! Great video 👍🏼
Vancouver Velocity is an incredible experience. From the beautiful night sky to the iconic Olympic torch and the absolutely amazing song, this is definitely one of the best tracks the Booster Course Pass has to offer.
Oh shoot; you're right. I just used the exact same image in the video and applied a drastic brightness/contrast filter to it, and the logo was revealed (somewhat). This is much like the cloud footprints in Yoshi's Island, where Nintendo's lighting and texture changes damaged the integrity of the detail. I'll use some techniques the next time it seems something texture-related is gone.
@@PeachToadstool yeah it’s so weird because I also thought it was gone at first, but knowing me, I was just exploring the track once and turned around and lo and behold it was there lol 😂
I remember this track was a mind-blowing when it first came out in Mario Kart Tour because it was the first city track that was not just a road and bluings.
Vancouver in 8 has a huge mix of pros and cons in my opinion. The cons aren't that small either, those being that I think Rogers Arena plays terribly in this version with the exits being unnecesarily confusing, and the laps getting less interesting as they go along. But I still love the track, it's visually and musically gorgeous and Lap 1 is a contender for the best city track lap in 8, it's so perfect and I 100% get the hype behind it from Tour. Lap 2 also starts off really strong with the cool grass cut before the glider. Overall, even if it's on the lower end of my city track ranking, it's still an incredible course I pick a lot online.
Tris made a video covering what we think will be the most likely period for the trailer to release. TH-cam keeps deleting my comment here because of the link, but you can find it as "Is Wave 6 Coming SOON?".
@@PeachToadstool Well, I have thinking about such theories myself. So far, we already got 3 Wave 5 Spotlights by Nintendo America on every Wednesday since October 4th of 2023. That leaves 1 Wave 5 spotlight to go. If the trend resumes at it is, we may get our final Wave 5 spotlight this coming week. And considering Wave 4 and 5's track record of having their full release date trailers coming on the exact day or the day after their respective previous Wave's final spotlights, we may have the Wave 6 trailer coming around the same week as the final Wave Spotlight. That coming week being October 22nd (today) or 23rd to 28th or 29th. If that turns out to be the case... If Wave 6 will be released 1 week after the trailer like Waves 2, 4, and 5 did, Wave 6 may release on the same week as WarioWare Move It!, probably in case not everyone is a WarioWare fan nor games that strictly use motion controls only. But if Wave 6 releases 2 weeks after the trailer like Wave 3 did, it'll be on a week where Wave 6 will be free to release with no other games alongside it. Of course, since everything I've stated above is only speculation, I could wrong, and I advise you and everyone else to take my speculations with a grain of salt. Thank you.
Tour - Vancouver Velocity 🍁🏒🔥 should of saved it to wave 6 in the Acorn Cup. Since this would of fit for the Autumn 🍁 /Winter ❄️ season. Even Acorns does associated with North America, because we have Acorn trees and wildlife eating acorns.
I really like how this Vancouver Velocity looks almost same what it looks on Mario and Sonic olympic winter games Vancouver 2010, by the way can't wait Mario and Sonic olympic games Paris 2024 what might come to november 17 yayy im so hyped. @@Leopez02 Thanks! It's based on the princess, but Super Mario RPG for SNES wasn't out yet when I first started using a variation of it. Peach always was Peach in Japan, and North America called her Princess Toadstool, so I combined the two because I also believed that it would turn out that would be her full name.

I hope so.

Tour Rome Avanti
Wii Daisy Circuit
GCN Dino Dino Jungle
Piranha Plant Cove
Spiny Cup:

All I want is a SNES Bowser Castle course.
One other gameplay change was that the right wall of the tunnel could be driven on in Tour, with the end even acting as a trick spot
I saw something like that mentioned but it was unclear and I couldn't test it.

Lap 3 should’ve been extended by having us do Lap 1 in reverse.
@@GatorOne-in7hk I feel like that'd make the track really long but I can't help but agree anyway.

26th October most likely!
That Rosalina design gonna make me act up
The one with the aurora themed dress? Cause I love that one!
Will u be doing the rest of wave 1 now? As well as the tracks that werent it tour til later? Like snow land and waluigi stadium?
Yep! Those have resumed development, but the special video with Tour content that came after the Booster Course versions will come last.
One thing I like about the city tracks is that the music sounds muted in Tour but 8 Deluxe gives it the glow up it needs

@GameXplain When will Wave 6's Full Trailer come? When will Wave 6 itself be arriving? Soon, the answers will be revealed.
