- Here at Makebox we love pressing flowers, that's why we designed our very own flower press! Made from Birch wood, which is naturally water resistant and hard. Engraved with our logo bee, this really is the prettiest press!
You can use pressed flowers for SO many projects. Check out our website www.makebox.co/shop to find out more.
I've had this flower press forever that I've literally never used. Today I decided to figure it out. I'm excited to see how they look when done!
Fantastic! Glad to be of help!
Thanks for this tutorial. I just got a mini flower press in a subscription box & it came with no instructions. I had no idea how it worked till I watched this!! Again thank you!!
Amazing! Glad to be of help.
Very well demonstrated and explained. Thank you!
Thank you so much!

This is a very good explanation, but the music is really annoying.
Do you have to change the blotter paper every few days? I heard if it gets too wet you need to change it every few days?
Hey! No I don't, I literally leave them for 2 weeks. I wouldn't recommend using very " juicy" flowers. Flowers hold about 85% water so some press better than others. You can actually press bigger flowers successfully in the microwave!
Thanks!! I just randomly bought one at a thrift store for 2 bucks!!!!!!!!!!
Great!
Thanks this was helpful
Great. So pleased it was helpful!
So pleased!
Hii! Amazing. Can i use the same method to press fruits for resin?
Can you accidentally tighten the press “too much”?
Yes
It really depends on what you are pressing. You can cerntaily crush flowers! But on the whole its fine to tighten well.
Do you have to do anything to the watercolor paper to get an impression on the paper after the pressing? AND How long do you press for flower impression on your watercolor paper? Thanks so much - video was very helpful. :o)
Thank you! I'm going to Europe in a few weeks, and was hoping to bring some flowers back!
Aww hope you had a wonderful time and found some beauties!
Thanks for the tutorial. Just got a flower press for mother's day and found your tutorial very helpful.
Bolts, not screws.
Thank you!
My mother bought me one of these for my birthday, Can't wait to try it. Thank you for showing us the way.
I use newspaper and leftover cardboard from cereal boxes.
What is the blotting paper? What type of paper is it?
Blotting paper is a highly absorbant thick paper that takes the water away from the petals.
Do you ship to the USA?
