Interesting side note, Bregman, Santander and walker came with QO's, after signing fried the Yankees would have to give up their top draft pick this year. The NyY have a really thin farm system, Soto was the only player who got a QO this year.
The A's are looking a lot like KC in their approach. Add a couple of solid veteran starters and see h7ow the young players work out. They still need a LF bat
That Os article is the perfect example of what people believe 'journalism' is these days, one source.... right.... seems super legit. There's a lot of so called 'insiders' in Baltimore that love to spread non-sense just like this.
PitcherList is highly regarded and has a big following. Don’t think they put something out like that just because. Sounds more like people just say it’s false because they don’t like what they’re hearing.
I like Castillo for the Mets for the reasons you pointed out. But I wonder what SEA will ask for. I know you gotta give up to get, but I don't really want to give up Acuna for him. If we trade him I want him in a bigger package for somebody better.
I actually like that. Free agency is ruining MLB man you watch low market teams lose all their home grown talent to teams like the Yankees & Dodgers cause they can’t spend what those teams spend. I might become a damn Orioles Fan after hearing that
@@rhyde already injury prone young 1b isnt nearly as valuable as a proven #2 starter in my opinon, especially for a team that has a win-now mindset like the red sox. There's no guarantee casas will play next year and be a good hitter. It's almost locked in that castillo will get you great consistent performance next year. Really not sure what's causing boston fans like yourself to inflate casas's value so much.
No trade will happen with the Red Sox. They do not want to trade Casas, who is 24. A torn rib cage is not indicative of Injury "history". The Red Sox have virtually no interest in Castillo. He is turning 33, owed big $ for 4 years (w/the option), has a career road record of 30-40 w/an ERA over 4, & diminishing advanced metrics three years in a row. He is now the Mariners 5th starter, and with half his games in Fenway his 2025, his ERA would be over 4 1/2. PASS
The Yankees will always take the lefty unless it’s a pitcher like Garret Cole. But they don’t have solid lefties & you have to have Left handed pitching in Yankee Stadium with that 313 Foot Left filed short wall. Corbin.burnes wasn’t ever going to be a Yankee with Max freid in the same free agent year
Sox's need to stay away from Flaherty who's had injuries and Buehler who's only pitched 2 full seasons in 7 year career. If they're not signing Burnes please go get Castillo .
I think the Texas Rangers should sign a lefty bat in the outfield to go along with Langford and Garcia it has to happen Honestly I don’t think Nolan will get traded to the Astros because I could see him be going to the Mariners

The Astros just acquired two third basemen from the Cubs as part of Tucker trade, if the Astros add Arenado are they collecting third basemen?
Arenado plays 3rd, Parades plays 1st and Cam Smith is the 3B for the future. He’s at least 2 years away from being ready

The A's seem to be spending money because they have to or else they won't get revenue sharing

Arenado to Seattle after a Castillo trade, the Mariners do have the prospects to get the Cardinals to eat some of his contract.
He grew up 15 minutes from angel stadium. If you live in the area you are an angels fan.
Any moves yet
Are the Phillies going to do anything?
If this is true about Orioles, how does Elias not get immediately fired?

That’s actually if you look at it what the Orioles have been doing Youth youth youth home grown over everything
Sox are out of their minds if they think they're getting anyone but castillo for casas.
They absolutely should and will get more if Casas gets moved

@@rhyde Casas is looking like just another overhyped Red Sox prospect. Can't stay healthy, backsliding avg.

Alec Bohm was a legit all star. Sad to see how this is all going down.
In the first half not the second. Plus his defense was non existence this season
@ all star is a first half award. And no, his defense was not non-existent. Very middle of the pack by DWAR.

How the hell does this guy have a baseball podcast and not be able to pronounce Spanish surnames?
Gasp! How dare he??
Boo hoo
If you are on air, you’re supposed to know that shit
@ Boo hoo x2
You’re right Steele. Looks like you’re in charge moving forward because of your ability to pronounce every name correctly.
If the Astros manage to get a good 3rd ir 1st baseman they will pull off a decent off season considering they moved Tucker.
