Sadly, the voice of Paradox, David McCallum, passed away on the 25th of September 2023. Rest in Peace to one of the most iconic voice actors in the Ben 10 Franchise.

yeah I like it too tbh, except when it was written they just did it as a funny one liner they didn't actually realize that the network was gonna make them write Ben more immature and revert all of his character growth

@@jeremy14o revert all his character growth is not true, did they made him somewhat less caring? sure (which is acceptable bcz heroes won't be serious all the time and one day it will get repetitive) but his growth was still there, people also take things out of context and I blame Ink Tank's video of "what ruined Ben 10" bcz Kuro compared out of context scenes there

Something that I always felt make Paradox more unique than other time travellers is his method of time travel. His line "How do I move so quickly? it's called walking" literally explains it: he spent so long studying space and time that he mapped out all of eternity and now knows how to simply walk through time and space to anywhere and anywhen he wants
That's why he's my goat
I can listen to Paradox talk for 10,000 years. He's so entertaining.
I also like that he's another hero that uses a watch.

Paradox and his backstory always interested me, even as a kid. Just the thought of being thrust into a place for so long, without aging, that you get so bored of being insane that you turn sane. Its a funny thought but so cool when you think about it.
Yeah, I haven’t heard that line anywhere else. And it’s incredibly impactful. Just.. like.. damn. Never even thought about whether there is something *beyond* insanity… truly existential.
Jim Krieg wrote this episode at Dwayne McDuffie's request. Dwayne called Jim and told him "I know you're a big Who fan, do you want to write a Doctor Who pastiche?" Jim immediately said yes, hung up the phone, and looked up the word "pastiche".

The answer to the Hugo question is a paradox. He never became the time monster but at the same time he turned from the monster back into himself. It never happened but always will happen. Is there 1 hugo or 2? Yes.

Professor Paradox, one of Ben Tennyson's greatest allies. A Time Walker who went insane then went sane. He & Kevin are some of the best characters in the whole series

I always loved how Paradox was drifting for so long he went insane and then sane, wonder how accurate that actually is to real life

Paradox carrying around gumballs is based on the 4th Doctor Who that always had a bag of jelly baby sweets.
These early episodes of Alien Force were something special. It had a mysterious, almost film noir quality to them, what with most episodes of season 1 taking place at night.
I never really thought about that but yeah, a ton of AF episodes do take place at night…

That's such an interesting point. UA had so much daytime, I found that refreshing at the time cause Alien Force rarely switched up its formula.
Eric really is my favourite reactor. He's always the one reacting to scenes I would want them to acknowledge & I feel like he has a good perspective overall. Felt that way during the B-99 reactions too!

This is absolutely my favourite episode of Alien Force. Paradox is such an amazing character, clearly inspired by Peter Cushing indeed. I also really like the whole vibe of this episode, it's just something unusual, different, slightly eerie at times even. Love it!

To this day, I find it hilarious they got the guy who played Ducky in NCIS to voice Ben 10's version of the Doctor. Perfect casting. 👍🏼
It's oddly fitting for a time bender such as Paradox that this episode got made public a few days before David McCallum's death but was only properly released a couple weeks after it.
Man was an absolute legend: The Man from Uncle, Sapphire & Steel, NCIS, Ben 10 - hell, Paradox wasn’t too outside his established Sapphire & Steel comfort zone anyway.

Ah yes Professor Paradox, one of the characters that truly makes this show!
Dwayne McDuffie did say that Paradox was just joking since all matter has existed from the big bang and there's no such thing as matter from 1976.
Also, about Chronal Laws. They could be laws in the legal sense. Stuff that he technically could do but that he'd get in trouble to doing.
This is where the complexity of this series begins
Inspired by Dr. Who we meet Professor paradox who me and lots of people in Ben 10 fandom thinks is the best Ben 10 character of all time.
1- The way he speaks
2- The way he foreshadow events
3- His inclusion in the plot makes him a superior being in this franchise.
Ben 10 writers did an excellent job with this character.
Finally, the introduction of Professor Paradox, another one of my top favorite characters of the Ben 10 series! He always makes me laugh and he’s such a great time traveler!
Also giving a big shoutout to David McCallum. May he Rest In Peace.

I never knew it takes roughly 500 to 1,000 years for gumballs to decompose entirely.
My favorite part of Paradox is how he has already lived through this stuff and is jumping around in time to moments he either has been to or will have been to. Like his line of realizing this is where he got his name Paradox. Even the line “was i in there” meaning that a future paradox went into the building and kevin chased him then the present/past paradox saw that and decided to go in there in the future

I love Professor Paradox. Not only fun to deal with, but i like the concept of not having a Time machine, but just knowing when and where to be to step outside of time

Aside from Professor Paradox, the only other role I've known David McCallum as is Ducky Mallard from NCIS. (May he now rest in peace.)

@@mattdoesntknowwhattodowith5760 no, i watched it through early access. but during when it was meant to come out the blindwave site was being updated and was down, but somehow i was able to access it so i watched it when literally no one else could
@mattdoesntknowwhattodowith5760 nah, there are 2 parts to this. The first is early access, four-sight at this time, and the other was somehow I was the only person that had access to the website at one point. This was when the site had its major revamp and was down for about 12 hours or so. Somehow I was able to get on when others couldn't and they put the episode up during that time so it ended up with me being the only person that could actually watch the reaction at the time
Fun fact: Paradox was voiced by the late David McCallum.

So Professor Paradox is a reference to the series Doctor Who. Namely due to being a time traveller who works to help others. Also, the way he just messes with the team shows how casual he is with his power.

@@dannydashtv9418 Actually after destroying the Galvan hybrid was about to destroy every planet which has life after Ben saved the hybrid from extinction they stopped the invasion. In the series, it is referred to as Ben saving the Universe.
