He should have been caught long before the last victim. So many red flags that officers simply ignored or brushed off. Even at the end they couldn't put two and two together until it was right in front of their faces

      It only seems obvious now..
Who would've thought such things wud happen. And cops probably had to check things out that weren't actually nothing, consistently. Also, they probably had seen many weird but not serious crime to make them shrug off some things. They too r humans, and cannot know everything.

The perfect storm of racism and homophobia: "Oh, Theres gay stuff going on, we all know how weird those gay dudes can get. Just take your confused, drugged, battered and handcuffed teenaged boy back home, and don't bother us cops again." I hope his family sued that police department. I remember when they got him. I was like 3 y.o going 4. I picked up a magazine which had an article about the guy and a picture from his trial and I could't believe he was a murderer. He looked so clean, kind and calm despite his orange suit. I remember I even felt pity for the guy but of course my mind couldn't comprehend what he did either. But from that experience I can guarantee that if all of this wasn't known and people saw Dahmer walking by the street they wouldn't even glimpse at him suspeciously.

The young kid was one of the people Dahmer tried to turn into a zombie. It didn’t work and the kid got out and tried to get help from two women passing by, both the women and the kid where poc so the cops didn’t take them seriously. Dahmer convinced the cops it was a lover’s quarrel, he killed the kid once they got back to the apartment. The second guy was white so they took him seriously and actually tried to help.

You forgot to mention the guy that escaped but were brought back to Jeff was a BOY, a 14-YEAR-OLD BOY
He drugged him, drilled a hole on his skull while he's still conscious, and injected acid into his brain. The boy was lucky enough to run away and asked for help but those policemen gave him back to the monster. Truly heartbreaking.

Respectfully asking, why exactly can’t you correctly portray his victims or anyone here as people of color. This is such a monumental aspect of his crimes.

I don’t like that the “victim” is incorrectly painted in this. His name was Tracy Edwards a black male.
