our very first disney cruise was in 2005, and the cost of brunch/dinner was $10 per person, isn't that crazy?! $45 is still objectively a good deal but can't believe how much it's gone up in price!
YO!!! $10?!?! Granted, that was 18 yrs ago, but still 😳 it is a great deal, knowing how much amazing food you get, along with the service, the views… it’s hard to beat!
My husband n I are not “fancy” food ppl. We’re happy with just steak n chicken buffet style. I’ve watched other vlogs about brunch n dinners outside of the main dining n they really didn’t interested me. But watching your vlogs has made me think of looking into brunch on the dream for my husband n I. Thank you. Loving your channel! Almost up to date with your channel 😊.
We love that we inspired you to consider trying out Palo! I would definitely book it as soon as you can. We thinks it’s the best $50 you will spend on your cruise.
Another great video Miller Family!! We love ❤ Palo brunch! The flatbread pizza is sooo yummy 😋 On a few of our cruises, we went to Palo for dinner on the last night and it was a great way to end our magical vacation.
Thank you Cheryl 😊 I think we’ll only do Palo dinner on longer cruises and if we’ve experienced the MDRs already. Next time on the fantasy maybe (nothing booked yet, but we’d love to sail on her again!)
I’m excited to experience Palo brunch on the Fantasy this summer. Booked it last week. We did dinner on the Wonder in Alaska last summer and enjoyed it so I also booked dinner on the Fantasy. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us!
We usually just do brunch, but we were able to add dinner in March, too. Though it was good, we really preferred the options with brunch. I loved that they automatically assigned the same server to us both times.
I prefer the brunch menu over the buffet, so happy they decided not to bring it back! I always book Palo Brunch and dinner both! This year I am doing 7 nights on the Fantasy and am also going to do Remy brunch for the 1st time, have done Remy dinner but it was too formal for me. Also, when you become Platinum everyone in your stateroom gets $45 credit towards your meal and you can use it for brunch or dinner! Thanks for your videos! Love watching you and your girls
Not sure if we will ever hit platinum, but that sounds like a great perk! Remy brunch or the dessert experience in there would be our choice for going back there! Have a great time going back on the Fantasy!
Our family of four just booked our first Disney cruise for January 2024 on the Dream. We’re really hoping we get lucky and can snag a Palo brunch reservation. Thanks for all the great info about Palo and for all your other amazing content!
I saw my server on my recent 3 day cruise on the Wish from brunch at 3:05, she said she was on the Wonder before. And and on 3 and 4 night cruises you can book brunch on Nassau day. It was the first time since it changed to not buffet that I did it. Still got and got to try more actually and saved room dinner later. Dinner at Palo has become my favorite. Done brunch more so Dinner is more. For us it’s free minus tips. If prefix and if other way 45 off per pearl/platinum I suggest everyone get Palo dinner on pirate night. Can’t wait to do both on Magic and Treasure in 2024 hopefully.
@@AdventuresinMillerland not longer Nassau days, regular ones. Yeah fun spotting a server. Didn’t spot my dinner server who was better IMO usually we are assigned same server, this time nope but they do every time if on back-2-back
Thank you for this video. I'm going on the Fantasy for the 1st time to celebrate my 30th in 2024 & have been considering reserving Palo but wanst sure which one. Now I'm leaning toward Palo Brunch!
I love Palo! The food is incredible but for me it is more about the ambiance and experience. The main dining rooms are very noisy and chaotic (in a fun family way), but sometimes it’s nice to have a peaceful meal 😂 We’ve done the buffet brunch from before and the current way. While I do miss some aspects of the buffet (more options, seeing all the things, tiny portions to try more variety), I do feel that a sit down is more elevated and relaxing. I always get eggs benedict, antipasti, chicken parm and share lasagna. Dinner is very nice. The atmosphere is lovely but I agree you have to time it right if you want to still see out the windows. The prix fixe menu had some nice options but I feel like the entrees were too similar to the main dining rooms (Magic, Feb. 2022). We went with a la carte and that was incredible. That Dover sole was out of this world. The added amount was a lot, but well worth it for me. I agree that I would maybe miss a menu that I knew I didn’t already enjoy and try a Palo dinner instead. The great thing about the app now is that you can look ahead at the menus and try to book Palo instead if you’re not excited about one of the evenings selections. There may or may not be a reservation available but it’s worth a try. Our first cruise we didn’t do Palo at all since we had no idea and wouldn’t want to miss the main dining anyway. You are absolutely right that each ship has a different feel for Palo. We have brunch booked for our Alaska cruise this summer and I am so looking forward to it. Great content and explanations! Love your channel!
Brunch on an Alaska cruise would be incredible! The views!!! Just the feeling of being there, and taking it slow is so relaxing and fun 😊 That’s a great insight about being sit down making it feel more elevated. I would definitely agree with that!
We love Palo brunch and the chicken parm is so delicious! We had it on the Magic and Wonder when it was still the buffet and I do miss that. On our Alaskan cruise we were at Palo on the glacier day and that was special! Last month we had Palo on the Dream and it was great but a little less than our previous experiences, although the whole cruise felt that way to be honest.
Our cruise was close to full, which may be a result of the Disney Plus promo and that it was a 7 night, which is uncommon on the Dream. It felt crowded and the quality of the food in the main dining room was definitely not what we were used to from DCL, even though the serving team was working their tails off.
I experienced Palo brunch buffet and it was incredible. Can’t wait to try the new version of brunch on the Magic this summer. And I have done a solo Palo dinner: I felt like royalty 😊
We loved brunch. Next time we’re skipping all the bfast items. Although amazing the lunch items are so ridiculously good but you’re too full from bread and eggs to enjoy.
Is it true that brunch at Palo takes 2-3 hours? First time cruiser and was lucky enough to get a brunch reservation, but feel like I'd be missing out on a lot of other things if this may be the only time I sail DCL. 4 night cruise, brunch is on our sea day if that matters.
That’s just how we like to enjoy Palo! if you wanna have yours, be a quicker experience, you can always let your server know, and order less food. We believe that takes away from the value of this experience for us, but we can’t say what that would be for other people. All of that said, it is the best food you’ll eat on the ship, and it’s definitely worth doing! For us, Palo brunch is a nice way to slow down and relax, enjoy great food, amazing service and an incredible view! Keep in mind, you won’t be able to do everything, especially on a four night cruise. Focus on a few of the most important things you want to experience, and just have fun with the rest! And if you really want to experience more on the ship, don’t plan too much at the ports, or just stay on the ship 😊 Hope that’s helpful!
Thank you so much for your video on this. Can I ask you when I will get the opportunity to book for PALO for my first Disney cruise in January 2024. Is it 75 days before?
Glad we can help! Yes, it’s 75 days before! It’s at midnight, ET - so depending on what time zone you live, that would change a bit. Ex: if we were first time cruisers, since we live on the west coast, we would be able to start booking activities 74 days out, at 9pm PT. Hope that makes sense!
@@AdventuresinMillerland yes that makes sense. I live in Australia and it's the first time Disney are cruising from here so I will need to do some calculations to work out the time.

Hi Chris and Carrie! Troy and I agree with your review, we love Palo Brunch! Grape and Gorgonzola secret pizza is one of our favorites. SO SO GOOD!
Hey guys 😄 it’s sooo good!

Palo is not only on sea days. Just did a Palo brunch on a port day in Nassau on the wish
Just clarify there was no sea day on that sailing
That’s how they do it on the Wish (even on 4-night cruises) - most other ships typically have brunch on days at seas.
Looks and sounds like an awesome experience. 😊
