  • Hi Pool Players, today I am bringing you a drill to help improve your stroke, and consistency. This drill will reinforce your stroke fundamentals of Set - Pause and follow through and will help you eliminate your jab stroke.
This drill is one of the ones that I personally work on to improve my fundamentals of stroke. I use a 3 - 2 - 4 rhythm to keep a nice consistent stroke.
I must say that I really enjoy shooting with my Pechauer Cue and the Rogue Shaft, I think it compliments my Pechauer Pool Glove very nicely! I also really like my pool chalk, Taom v10, it coats my tip very well and stays on for a lot of shots. I would also like to thank all the coaches that have helped me improve my game along the way:
Francesca - My Rock, She has been the driving force behind me getting better, striving to improve my game, and also keeping a level head. If not for her, I would definitely be lost. She has been helping me get better every day on and off the table.
Kim "The Dragon" Young - My current coach who is helping me improve my game! I enjoy working with you and have been seeing the results!
Tony Robles - I am truly blessed to have been able to have a one-on-one lesson with you at your house prior to quarantine, and I look forward to being able to see you again!
Bryan from FX Billiards - I keep going back to your video review and definitely have worked on the points you noticed in my game.
Lil' Chris - I'm looking forward to being able to show you my improvement and I really appreciate the work you put in on my critique.
Mark from iQ billiards - My first in-person coach who is definitely helping me expand my cue work, and giving me pool lessons.
John - My other pool coach who has also been in person breaking down my game and showing me how to improve.
Also a big thank you to the virtual community of pool players - visit us on discord!
Big thank you for CT APA for getting our division back up and running, you guys have definitely gone above and beyond to make sure we can keep playing billiards and showing that this is an essential indoor recreation! Thanks for all the players in the 8 ball pool league, you guys definitely make this sport so great!!

I believe your bridge length is fine. Your bridge should normally be about 10 to 14 inches from the cue ball depending on the characteristics of your cue and space available on the table.
Your backstroke and follow-through should be about the same length.
Shorter strokes for softer shots and longer strokes to move the cue ball further or to put more spin on the ball.

Thank you for your response and feedback. I mean I tend to bridge too far from the ball, i have a really bad habit, that I'm correcting, of placing my bridge close to the rail for a lot of shots.

    Spff looks good
My coach says bring tip back to v of bridge
Svb and other pros do that on most shots
    Cheers!

Thank you for the tip, I have been focusing on just the pauses at the moment, but also my bridge was too long for these as well...
