Had koutei placed everything in his vanguard he would have won. The writers had to have him split the power and crit to daiyusha so as not to undermine legion. The whole point of retiring a guardian for a grade 3 check and having 3 checks as limit break is to double down on your vanguard for a final strike. That's the whole point and a reasonable low risk gamble given the 3 checks and break ride ability. Just didn't make sense for koutei to give the power to a rearguard other than the writers wanting him to :(( still awesome

great daikaiser have 28000 attack(including the boost). shield is 35000 + vanguard 11000 = 46000. drive check +5000 + 10000(grade 3 remove 10000 shield) + 5000 = 20000 28000 + 20000 = 48000. The attack could have connected. dumb dumb kotei. went to SIT for nothing
Ratie guarded against Daikaiser, and then guarded against Daiyusha. She didn't make am error. Took me a while to see that too but Ratie was playing fair. I guess this is what happens when you can't tell robots apart

It's just illegal to guard after your opponent declares drive check (Vanguard ZERO is different). I watched the full episode myself, and Katie didnt cheat at all. She guarded against Daikaiser after he declared his attack, then Mitsusada did a triple drive and somehow had to give it all to Daiyusha. Daiyusha then attacked, and Katie normally guarded.
How does one know who is attacking and how much to guard if the opponent didn't declare an attack yet. You guard after the declaration of attack, before the drive check.
