  • In this video, join me as I explore Deia and the smallest market in Mallorca.
Deia (Deya) has been recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site of cultural and historical significance, and you can see it has been wonderfully preserved.
However, the village is extremely busy during the Summer months as hoards of tourists walk through Deia’s main high street.
Join me as I show you a couple of ways to escape the day trippers.
Plus find out why you should visit Deia market (also Mallorca's smallest market) on Market Day.
For more information on the unexpected culinary treat I found in Deia market, follow / famosasamosa on Instagram.

Alex! This was such a fantastic video! It was this type of video that got me hooked on your channel and led to me exploring places like Deia on my first visit to the island! Much as I love the beaches and resorts my absolute favourite part of visiting the island is making my way to delightful villages like Deia. Even waiting for the bus in Deia was sceneic! Probably the best view I have ever had from a bus stop!
Those goats were beautiful and a real treat to see.
I loved the back ground music in this and also the live music.
Such a brilliant video! Thank you for making it!

Hi Alex. Love this video. I've tried three times to visit Deia but was never able to park my hire car. Many thanks, John

That is the issue. My advice is to there early (before 10) and park in the first available opportunity as you enter the town (so even the sides of the road where you can ) and walk .

Lovely video! Would definitely recommend Deia to anyone out there looking to visit. I hiked there from Valldemossa in late March (03/23) and it was beautiful.
