    I know the aperture is not constant and kind of dark, but for an aps-c telephoto lens I would go for the Sony 70-350 f4.5-6.3 G OSS. It's fantastic during the day but I wouldn't use it when it's starting to get dark outside.

      @@ethanadams9135 valid recommendation! I have the tamron 70-300 f4.5-6.3 and have been using that (even in part at night but yea it’s pretty challenging)

      Also if you find any equivalent 70-200 lens for APS-C, please share it! I'm also looking for that.

    Your pics are always so perfect to me ... The pics inside the cathedral did you use a flash ? Also do you use a gimbal for your travel set up?

    • @JimmyShixin
      @JimmyShixin  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thanks so much! no flash for any of the photos and don't have a gimbal yet either :) (but might buy one eventually)

    Great POV as usual! I'm kinda in the same Situation regarding a telephoto Lens. Im thinking of getting the Tamron 70-180 2.8 for full frame atm. It's only slightly longer than the 17-70 and a constant f/2.8 whilst being way cheaper than the Sony equivalent (but still quite an investment at ~1k € here). I've done a lot of digging and if you want the constant f/2.8 there's no way around getting a full frame lens for Sony E

    • @JimmyShixin
      @JimmyShixin  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      thanks for the info man! 1k is def a heavy investment but maybe worth it for a unique look?

    • @jakob9435
      @jakob9435 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JimmyShixin The lens would definitely make for a unique look i think. But I'm not sure if that's worth the price since i probably wont be using this lens that frequently. Sadly there's only 2 Options for Sony APSC: the 70-350G (4.5-6.3 and still 750€) and the 55-210 (210€ but very poor image quality it's basically a kit lens). For full frame im also considering the Tamron 70-300 (~500€ but 4.5-6.3 and no stabilisation). The other full frame lenses are even more expensive so I wouldn't consider these at all. I hope this helps you a bit on your buying decision

      @@jakob9435 amazing thanks so much! did u consider grey market prices at all i.e. are all these the official amazon prices? its risky but usually quite a bit cheaper

    • @jakob9435
      @jakob9435 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JimmyShixin These prices are the cheapest i could find from vendors that i would consider as trustworthy here in Germany. I'd rather pay a bit more and get a new copy of the lens than wasting money on some sketchy stuff tbh

      @@jakob9435 yea v reasonable, I tried e infin for Uk for my cheaper lenses but for my tamron 17-70 i went the legit way cause I was too scared haha

    I love how you try to pronounce "Parc de la Ciutadella". I'm from Bcn and you took some very creative shots I'd never come up with. Keep up the good POV videos! I love them. The colours of the photos are amazing! How do you get them? Do you use a colour pack in particular or something?

    • @JimmyShixin
      @JimmyShixin  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thank you! and apologies for my poor pronounciation hahaha
      These days I edit everything myself but I used presets that I bought for this video including ones by watch luke and optical wander

    Sweet vid man!! how do you like the samgang? I am in the market for a wide lens for my 64k at the moment i too have that 17-70 great lens for me so far!! Inspiring work keep it up!!

    • @JimmyShixin
      @JimmyShixin  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the lovely msg! Loving the samyang I think it's the ideal choice for a wide for a sony apsc. 17mm is ok but I wasn't able to easily vlog with it where I hold the camera myself. The 12mm is a relatively cheap way of having a solid vlog setup and I really like using it for architecture shots as it helps create perspective of larger buildings

    • @JimmyShixin
      @JimmyShixin  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      thanks Kim! If I could only take one lens it would easily be the tamron 17-70, if I can bring two I'd add my samyang 12mm for some wide angle architecture shots & vlogging
