It’s crazy that after all these years, the strawhats are finally about to travel the seas again without any other people that aren’t in the actual crew on board or without the crew being separated in different groups. It’s actually surreal to me
True. It's also surreal to me that they don't have any next targetisland in their journey. Since Punk Hazard they always had an idea where they must go next. Now they will wonder the sea without a clear aim to go where ever they want to go.

Thank you Toei for adding this scene, Oda may not have seen Carrot as Straw Hat potential but god damn did we need at least some acknowledgement of the time and bond she had with the crew.

More like Oda was rushing to wrap up Wano. Often times he has lamented scenes he wanted to do but got lost in deadlines. He's not one to snub a character intentionally.
@@XenoJehuty84 I don't think I have the talent Oda does but I felt like the minks could've set sail at the same time and Carrot could've been right in the background saying goodbye before the Momo scene.

I like how Toei straight up acknowledged that Oda messed up by no giving Carrot a proper goodbye
I don't consider it a mess up, Oda knew carrot was unimportant.

I'm sure we'll see her again in the final saga. Still sad she never joined the crew officially though. Even though she could be considered to be part of the Straw Hat Fleet I would have loved for her to be the crew's main look out.

Based on Pedro's "Someday you'll see why it was necessary to help Luffy and his friends escape" and "Everyone gets their moment" this is not the end of it.
Oda played with our heart strings on the Whole Cake Island Arc, wanting us to hope that Carrot joined the Straw Hats by the end of Wano.
I’m glad she wasn’t added.
Carrot got shafted so hard. Didnt get to avenge pedro, and then gets kicked out with a consolation prize of being queen. She didnt deserve any of this.
For a character like her that's not even a consolation prize, she was introduced as someone who craves for adventure and now she's stuck in a place being some kind of ruler, Oda just didn't know what to do with her anymore, she would have been better off forming her own crew of mink explorers like Pedro did and look for some clues of "the dawn of the world" or something like that while being part of the straw hats allied fleet
Carrot as leader of the Minks makes no sense. There was no buildup or development.
Makes sense for now. Wano needs defences from invaders. That's the whole reason.

It kind of makes no sense to me as well for her to be a leader They couldn’t ask I forgot her name the dog woman to be the leader because she was more of a leader than carrot
It's rather unfair, Inuarashi and Nekomamushi got to have plenty of adventures with Oden when they were with Whitebeard and Roger's crews. Carrot has been to two places, Tot Land and Wano (three if you count that Marine base from the mini Filler arc). As for Pedro's Will, he wanted to see the dawn of the new era which if Carrot could've joined the StrawHats she'd be there to see it in Pedro's stead.
They definitely should have given her more time to adventure before becoming the ruler.
She was crying in the thumbnail because Toei cared about her more than Oda
Yeah... that with Carrot felt very rushed. It's like Oda wanted close this chapter with Carrot as fast as possible.

I will forever be salty about Oda not including Carrot as part of the Strawhats. The only narrative move he's ever pulled that i'm 100% against in every way.
There really isn't room for 1, let alone 2 more straw hats. Wano was inflated enough with 1 chapter fights because every single character needs something to do.
To me this is such a cop out answer, yes certain crew members would not get as much shine but that doesn’t mean they can’t be on the crew. Oda could remove the focus that non important characters get and put it towards the crew.

Carrot is like Vivi. They both developed and got experience from sailing with the crew that will help them rule their kingdoms.

She was a *perfect* candidate to join the straw hats, she has a great chemistry with all of them, and gets along with the crew specially with Luffy, Nami, Chopper and Brook
Carrot will forever remain the biggest cinnamon roll of the straw hat crew. Even if she isn't in the Straw Hat Crew.

I am beyond glad that Toei made those two extra episodes to make the ending of Wano feel way less rushed and to give us a chance to properly say goodbye to those characters. Carrot especially was done beyond dirty.
I 100% believe she would have been a perfect addition to the straw hats, but i'm also positive that we will see her again
She was never going to be a straw hat. And as far as still joining she had 8 years and nothing happened.
This scene is definitive and final. She’s taken the job and willingly became ruler of her home country. So it’s goodbye to her tell the final war. 🐰🥕🫡

I dont understand why carrot is not considered a straw hat like vivi, she was in the crew like almost 8 years in real time
Key word being real time. She's only around for about 6 wewks, maybe 8 in universe time, while Vivi had a whole saga and was there for about 3 or more months. Carrot is cool, but she never feel the same as Vivi imo
@@frostyblade8842Vivi may have been the centerpiece of that arc, but Carrot's bond feels stronger on a personal level, and with individual members of the crew.

Bonney definitely joining. The last big role the Strawhats need is a cabin boy/girl & Bonney being 12 fits that role the best.
I had to screenshot the frame at 1:36 EXACTLY just to see Luffy & Carrot smile that I may want to trace as a drawing later on because I've forgotten how long it's been when I've seen Luffy so joyful with an old crew member that I find so inspiring to know how an old friend you bond with is a Straw Hat for LIFE! 😇😆🐇

I don’t think this was a good move by Oda. Carrot fit the crew perfectly and she even said she wanted to see the sea. I’m not buying that she was satisfied by just going to a couple new islands. It was fun while it lasted anyways.😢

I still think Carrot should have been the final crewmate. She's more than earned her stripes, perhaps moreso than anybody else that qualified to be on the ship.

I thought she would have been a perfect main stay pick for permanent strawhat! She would’ve been a great lookout with all the time she spent on the crows nest. Her abilities, race, and even her gender would add a lot of diversity to the crew. And her dynamic and personality was a great fit for the strawhats too. I’m gonna miss her! Can’t wait to see how she leads the minks though.

I felt sad so sad for Carrot at the scene when Jinbei joins the strawhats and they're are about exchange cups together. Carrot is nowhere to be seen during this even though we know she was on the ship when Jinbei first shows up. I keep imagining her cryin on the floor somewhere inside the Sunny 😂

I'm gonna miss her. She brought a lot of youth to a group of old soldiers, but perhaps it's for the best. As strong as Carrot is in her own right, she wouldn't fair well against the likes of Blackbeard and beyond.
