Why not? Some car seats having a lie flat position like cybex cloud z, joie I level or nuna arra. But it total using cars seats as carrycots is really creepy.
I've done the blanket with paperclip in Canada. But usually when it was -10 degrees Celsius outside, so I don't think she was at risk of overheating. I never tried that in summer because the sun is higher in the sky and the canopy did what it was supposed to do, keep the sun out of their eyes. Canadian winters the sun is low and is prone to be right at that point where the large canopy didn't quite manage to block the sun.
When its really cold in my country i use the raincover that comes with my graco stroller and in the summer i did the paper clip thing but with very light cotton see tru fabric and i checked my daughter every 5 min to see if she is okay. But the summer in my country is 40 degrees celsius with lots of sun.
Lol, strollers can't get stronger by lifting weights. My baby isn't born yet, but we purchased the UPPAbaby Vista V2 off your recommendation. I'm thankful that you posted this so I'm more aware.
A friend of mine did put her bag on the handle of her light summer stroller and she did let the handle for a second to type message on the phone and the whole stroller did fall down backwards from the weight of the bag. Luckily the baby was okay but had a bit of stress and my friend also got shocked.
Wow...as a bit of a amateur stroller enthousiast, this really hurt my eyes (not your videos, but the videos of the hacks 😅 omg...poor strollers). And I can't believe people are still advising parents to cover their strollers with blankets 😱😱😱 if these parents would only put a thermometer in the stroller with a blanket on top they'd quickly realise the danger they'd be putting their child in if they continued the practice 😱😱😱
I take the fabric off my city mini gt and throw it in the washer dry it at medium temp inside a laundry bag. Hand wash the canopies, and I clean the frame with dreft all purpose cleaner😊
I do love my Mommy Hook for hanging my wristlet wallet. Not that it weighs very much 😂 I do have the more inexpensive Graco Modes which doesn’t have removable fabrics, but I just got a little warm water and oxiclean and gave it a very light sponge bath, complete with drying in the hot summer sun after I used a dry towel with pressure to get most of the water out.
I saw 2 children in a single stroller last wednesday and I thought: "That's life" Being creative. Solving the problem of the current moment. Parenting. I don't think I will do so much better. My parents never did any of these things but that doesn't make them perfect. They would force me to keep walking, because I had a younger sibling who needed to be in the stroller. They could have chosen to carry me or my sibling. They could have chosen to put us both in the single stroller. Or they could have prepared by buying a double stroller. I think all of those options would have been better than what they did. But they're not the worst parents. And I do forgive them. But I don't quickly judge people who have more than the official number of children in their stroller. They just have to deal with the present situation. You cannot always know what will happen. And I remember what it felt like being forced to keep on walking.

Not to mention the fact that people use a carseat as a carrycot. 😩 And on top of that, use it as a main stroller, for sleeping. 🤦🏼♀️
