Yes, absolutely! I watched Sam's videos for about 3 years before I finally booked a lesson with him and what you said was one of the reasons why. I've been doing lessons with him for a few months now and this teaching style is exactly what has helped me get out of my own head and make the progress I didn't think was possible for me.

There has to be something to what you said about her not becoming a star. I recall seeing her in a commercial and was thinking "Who is this chick, her voice is amazing." Never found out who she was. Until I saw your video and thought "Hey that looks like the chick from the ad". And now we're all learning how shady and screwed the music industry is. Its kinda like politics, labels are owned by corporations, those corporations push who they wanna push based on what seems to be trending. Bc of this a lot of really good talent gets ignored bc they aren't getting spotlighted on award shows(owned by the same corporations that own the labels), not getting spotlighted on charts(also owned by the same corporations that own the labels)....you basically have to find hidden gems via the internet mentioning them or seeing a youtube video.
She should try to get the ability to cover this as a legit single. I think it’s been long enough and this is different enough. I feel like it could be huge.
So around 7:00 mark you attribute much of Tori’s vocals to her trainer but I have to disagree. Of course without a doubt her trainer has helped her LOADS, I am sure. But this girl was singing amazingly at just 10-11 years old. Check out her vids here on TH-cam. Her pitch control and melisma were insane for her being that young and I’ve yet to see a competitor in that age range aside from Jazmine Sullivan.
Didn't she have voice training, even then? He's not saying she's not naturally talented however voice training has helped her a lot and there's nothing wrong with that.
Ariana is one that is actually really good. One of the best high belts and she has quite good vocal skills and runs too. I wouldn’t put her above either Jojo or Tori but she can hang in their company
Tori, Jojo & ari are all around the same level really just depends on your preference. Ariana literally deserves all her success don’t try to bring someone else down to lift them up.
