- Dr. Mark Miravalle explains the Fifth Marian Dogma at the chapel of The Lady of All Nations in Amsterdam, Netherlands after Jim Caviezel gave his most remarkable testimony of the action of Mary in his Hollywood career at the Prayer Day for World Peace in Amsterdam 2019. Thanks for the clarification Friar Roderic. I am not a theologian, I am a retired factory worker. However if anyone in the magisterium of the church can and should make doctrinal pronouncements , it is the Holy Father. It is in his pay grade and it is his responsibility to do so. Some of his pronouncements have caused concern and alarm among Catholic conservatives. And when the church is enveloped in great scandal and suffering these days , to honor Our Lady as Mediatrix and Co-redemptrix would go a long way toward healing. A truly Catholic thing to do. And if a few Protestants get upset, who cares.

These are just my thoughts.. declaring this dogma will enable The Blessed Mother to exercise her role fully as mediatrix of all graces as God requires our cooperation in salvation history.. i think it's a possibility that when the Pope makes this declaration then the miracle at Garabandal will occur, as this is meant to coincide with a great event in the Church..Many/all present at the great miracle receive physical cures as Mary's role as mediatrix of all graces has been enabled to act fully.
The nexus between Islam and Eastern and Western Catholicism is Mary--Marīam, the only woman mentioned by name in the Quran.
@Mark the Lesser False teaching true but Mary could be the link to Muslims that will convert them to Christianity. Pray for the conversion of Muslims. Evangelize the Muslim immigrants.
Of course. no argument. But I have found that my opening with Muslims is the shared love we have for her. Give Mary an inch of daylight and she can open hearts.

excuse me...in 1989 we in the UK sighed a portion calling for this Dogma. thousand of us..it was called VOX POPULA.....and was sent to the vatican...what happend to that !!!!!
Without Mary's fiat, Jesus would not have become Flesh and Blood. By that virtue alone Mary is Co-Redemptrix in the role of human salvation. Our Blessed Lord is the True Redeemer, However, "Let it be done to me according to thy word" carries a lot of weight. Pope Francis, who calls this proposed dogma foolishness, may have , as Ricky Ricardo says, some "Splaining to do".

Dr. Mark Miravalle is even mentioned in the original article and he makes some good clarifications on this, namely that the Pope’s use of the word “foolishness” comes about six paragraphs after his comments on the Coredemption and applies it to the idea of declaring many dogmas. Although I think declaring this dogma is a good idea, the Pope has made it clear that he is not a fan of doctrinal pronouncements. At any rate, he is not saying that the doctrine is foolishness as the article implies. You can see these clarifications here:
