    This S.O.B just pulled the "perfect rotary step father" and then ghosted us. We were damn near getting daily uploads, THEN HE LEFT US! HE LEFT US!
    He's actually like an abusive rotary step father, just buying our love with hour long videos then dissappearing after he "forgot his milk and cigarettes at the track"
    We still love him though.

      No, we did two interviews with Rob at the same event 😎
      One is about the AWD RX7 build which came out a few weeks ago, and this one is rotary engines in general
      Same t-shirts and same interview spot though so easy to mix up - Taz.

    his fab guy is good. Rob's got a heap of money and seems to have the machining down now but if that was done here in NZ it would be 2000hp and actually be finished most of that car is rough as guts.

    • @NorwayVFX
      @NorwayVFX ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Robs car could have been done years ago and been top notch IF he was a rich guy dumping money into it and getting someone else to build it but where is the fun in that?
      He is building the car himself to learn and has made insane progress considering he just started learning to do stuff himself a few years ago.
      Also the ''heaps of money'' he has mostly comes from the videos about building the car, if he didn't build it himself and share these videos he wouldn't afford the car anyways.
      The reason most of the car is rough is mostly because it is a prototype and testbed for him. No need to make something perfect when you know it will be changed 3-4 times the following year.
      They recently 3D scanned the car in order to design the final carbon body and new steel tube chassis so he is just now starting the ''final'' proper build of the car.
      The fact that he just received the one-of-a-kind 12 rotor engine to play around with from the original designer and builder shows the respect he has earned even though what he builds is ''rough as guts''.

    • @gregroles69
      @gregroles69 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why "finish" a super popular youtube build that generates money and interest? Even Rob defines himself as an entertainer, and in that he excels.

      @@NorwayVFX All that shows is some guy has sold him his rubbish a 20b turbo would smoke that motor and that's if they can even get it running.

      @@fd3s93 I know but that money is only a fraction of what he has put into the 4 rotor. I think he said about half of the car is paid by sponsor money and products. And he receives a bunch of money from Patreon that goes straight into the car.

    😅Inside out Wankel from LiquidPiston says its new XTS-210 solves the efficiency, lubrication and fuel type issues of Wankel rotary engines. This supercharged, liquid-cooled two-stroke claims 5X the power of an equivalent size or weight diesel engine, and 3X the torque.
    Targeted at military, commercial and aerospace applications, the XTS-210 is about the size of a basketball, weighs in at 19 kg (42 lb), and displaces 210 cc. It'll run on multiple fuels, including diesel and kerosene/jet fuel. The company is shooting for about 20 kW (26.8 hp) and 29.4 Nm (21.7 lb-ft) of torque, both at 6,500 rpm.
