I was also raised between two parallel boards and resemble a gourd. Also, my five teeth stretch from the top of my head to my toes (except for one starting at my shoulder). And I have the skin of a cat! What a coincidence.
Totally cool. Between two boards ... growing gourds to be banjos. So imaginative. Think that was done in the past? You made me a subscriber. Thanks.. Since posting this, I went to Adam’s very nice website. AND we will both be at Midwest Banjo Camp, this year, 2018. So psyched. 🎶🇻🇮✒️
I posted this video with Adam's permission, but I'm not representing him and I'm not sure whether he reads comments on this page. However, you can reach him directly through his website, www.adamhurt.com.
Thanks randomkindness2. I took lessons via Skype with Adam for 3 1/2 years, so I was just giving him a thumbs up, as I often do. He's quite an amazing, talented and kind fellow who will perform in my area in several months. Because of his incredible CD Earth Tones and the David Hyatt gourd banjo I eventually got one myself and later contacted him for lessons.
This is incredible. Great tunes, and good on you for helping keep them alive. Who is the maker of the gourd banjo? Reminds me of banjos I've seen from Noah Cine.

According to information on that site-and if the banjo used in this video is the same one used on "Earth Tones"-it's a fretless gourd banjo handcrafted by David Hyatt of Fayetteville, Arkansas.

beautiful.
What a beautiful sounding banjo!
Much fun to watch, Adam. Just think, I'll meet and greet you for the first time in November, Lord willing and the creek don't rise.

I got permission from Adam to post this video, but this is not his official TH-cam channel. I don't know if he will see your question here.
@@randomkindness2 D'oh! Ya, I should have picked that up. Sry.
This is stunning. Many a cellist would envy your precision. And who made your banjo? Is that a canteen gourd?

Thanks!
Wow 🎉
Best player ever. The pumpkin-like gourd would rock the low end, though.
He ain't country that's for sure
Not sure what your point is.
I can’t think of anything more country than playing a gourd banjo, especially beautifully and in front of a crowd.
Less talk more music,please.
I liked his talk.
