Gosh, great walkthrough! Really good feedback too 😉 it’s always so tricky doing a project like this based on such well loved myths and stories, we’re certainly not gonna get it right for everyone. So glad you got what I was trying to do with the imagery and symbolism tho (I’m also another Avalon nerd, and was so happy that the first oracle I got to illustrate was an Avalon themed one!) These characters are such powerful archetypes and ones that everyone can do their own research on of course and connect to the imagery however they feel works for them . Thanks folks, happy magic making!❤️❤️❤️
I know there are other resources to explore with this topic, but I’d love to listen to you talk about the legends and what not! Maybe a live cover it a bit?
Always enjoy your walk throughs, sorry I missed this live. We all need new decks to keep us busy. I'm particularly fond of the mists of Avalon, Glastonbury, Celtic mythology and Arthurian Legend. I think the artwork is beautiful and will probably be just as disappointed in the guidebook as you are.
This video is very long, so I'm going to put in my Unboxing list and listen an afternoon I have not other things around and the phone at full charge (I have not a PC). Anyway, I bought this deck in December when it went out and I love it. I have also made some readings both for me and a couple of friends and they were so spot on. I have two other Avalon themed Oracle decks, but one is very complex and I have not started using yet, and the other is in German, and I don't speak that language 😅 so I read the cards intuitively translating only the titles and the sentences on them, since I cannot use the booklet.
A very informative live chat. We don’t just get to see pretty pictures. We learn about the stories, the legends, and the various characters in legends. I’m sad that the book doesn’t dive as deeply into some of these characters. Isn’t it wonderful that Professor Kelly can take us on that deep dive? Maybe a class focusing on both aspects of the Avalon / Camelot stories? A Patreon series? I want moar!
There is an oracle deck that you may have heard of I believe that you may enjoy if you have not its feminine and masculine, shamanic, elemental, animal spirits and more, it just ticks all the boxes!..spirit cards Oracle deck by John Arthur Moseley... and his paintings/artwork are amazing. 44 card deck. Just beautiful and its affordable! The artwork is reminiscent of Boulets art.
Thank's a lot for this video! This oracle is neither my Avalon nor my Glastonbury. I even wonder if the authors went there. By the way in Glastonbury are at least three different wells, beside the red and white there is another one in chalice well and another at the foot of the tor. I can't connect to the cards because of their frequencies. Also the pictures feel false for me. I'd rather connect with my own experiences.
I was so happy to see that you made a deck walkthrough 👍👍🙂🙂 I really like this deck and the images 😍 I have the Camelot Oracle though and I am in love with it! What do you think about comparing these two decks?
I loved the series, but after learning what Marion Zimmer Bradley and her husband Walter did to their children (and other people's children) I can't really support their works or inspirations from their work anymore.

Thank you, Kelly for all you shared. I loved everything!
I brought this a couple of weeks back and love it
This deck is beautiful and I love your interpretation of the cards. Thank you for doing this walk through.
excellent review! I think I should read Marion Zimmer’s reTelling before attempting to navigate that deck
I loved this, it was exactly what I needed today. Thank you Kelly

Oh. My. Goodness. THANK YOU. That deck looks amazing!
I pre-ordered it, it really looks right up my lane indeed!
It sounded so much of what you say that you like that I automatically thought of you when I ordered mine...anyway enjoy!!! Many blessings!!
Do you have any movie or book recommendations for newbies interested in Camelot/King Arthur/Avalon?..

nope not me on the authoritarian. I'm MZB Mists of Avalon obsessed!

This doesn’t seem to me to be about the books but about the cycle that includes Avalon long before those books were written, thankfully!
Everything's out of focus - terrible video quality.
I'm sorry it was out of focus for you, I don't see that on my end, hopefully you can find another walkthrough that works better for you :)
